All I can say is bad attitude to an international visitor. I've travelled to America on and off for the last 20 years and have a personal and professional interest in firearms and was pleasantly surprised to come across your shop miles from anywhere, having travelled from Las Vegas through the Grand Canyon and Scottsdale on the way to San Antonio. I asked for a business card and was told in no uncertain terms that you only give them to people you do business with. Well let me tell you I have no intention NOW of doing business with you but I may have had you shown a little courtesy.

Rude, condescending, mocking, impolite. These are just a few words that describe my visit to the Benson ASSonal. If you really feel the need to be thoroughly abused, belittled and mocked in the process of trying to buy an over priced gun then this is definitely the place for you. If you can get it done in under three hours without going into a coma from boredom with his incessant bragging while insulting your intelligence, you get a gold star. There are plenty of gun shops around that still believe in welcoming you with a genuine friendly smile and seal an honest deal with a firm hand shake while treating you with the respect and dignity you deserve. It's well worth a few extra miles. I wouldn't give this guy the pleasure of the time of day from a broken watch.

I have been to a lot of gun stores but this was the worst. This guy Nate kept claiming he was a cop in Maryland, taught snipers and long range shooting, an was on the cover of competition magazine because he was so good. When I looked it up, none of it was true. His knowledge of weapons is pretty decent in some areas but normally he has no idea what he is talking about. He tried selling me a FN Scar for 7k because it had a cheap red dot on it and " its what SF uses,,, trust me bro Im in the know". I laughed and told him my second job in the military was fielding weapons. That JSOC never issued the MK 16 or 17 as a primary. That socom did for a bit but cancelled like a year. Mind you, I went in there for some .45 shells. Not to get in a argument with some moron. He ended up calling ME a liar. I went home got pictures, certificates, and awards and showed him. I guess it got hard to argue when a person shows you orders for there job. I asked him to bring in some magazines with him on the cover, or his old police badge. Or proof of the DHS sniper team he trained. Instead he went to lunch and had some older guy with glasses watch the shop. So i waited for him to come back with something to back up his story. 30 min later he called the shop and told the other guy he wasnt coming back today haha. Before that I tried to buy a 1100 tac 2. He wanted 1200 for a pretty beat up gun. I ended up finding a new one for about 720 online. I asked him about getting a NM RRA ( had to listen about how he can hit the 1k meter target all day long with 55 gr bullets) and he wanted like 2000. I got it online new for 1100. This guys prices arent even ball park. I was looking at a P250 there. Once I asked about it, the next week the price went from 440ish to 740. This was before we had an argument so i know it wasnt because I called him out in front of his friend. He had a Polish AK from IO for 1500 !!! They are less than 700 on their website!!! The guy is trying to rip you off big time.Location: Actually it is a nice location. Lots of parking because most people know to avoid this guySelection- Not bad for a small townPrices- Would you pay more than double to support a local store? I dont go there unless walmart doesnt have the ammo I need and I have no other option.Staff: Wanna be's, know it all A Holes. They probably play to many video games.
