Ben's Bells

Ben's Bells is a wonderful business to support locally. The whole intention of this was to spread kindness and be kindness. Founder and mother Jeanette began this organization when he son unexpectedly passed before 3 and she saw how much kindness could make a difference in another's life. You can find almost anything to gift to another and what's even more fantastic is you can come create things on your own in workshops they host. You can spend time volunteering to help them too. This is a must stop if you are visiting and want a true local Tucson good hearted business. People are always so kind here which is fitting.

I always love to go to the events they are at, love painting different parts of the final product. They do so much. I found a Ben's bell when I first moved to Tucson and I've had it up ever since.

10/10 volunteer experience! I went with my coworkers and we had so much fun painting ornaments. I reached about a month in advance and booked a time slot from1pm-3pm. Booking online (by email) was so easy and super professional. When we arrived at Bens Bells they had our table set up and ready for us to paint. The staff gives you an introduction of how Bens Bells started and then they show you what to do. We painted about 6 ornaments which took up most of our time since you have to coat the ornaments 3 times. When we finished we were showed how to clean up and washed our brushes.Highly recommend!

Ben's Bells is a beautiful non-profit that sends a very important message: be kind. It's really that simple. And it goes a long way. Their location here in downtown is pretty cool. The property/building is quite old, so it's just fun to walk through if you like to experience some Tucson history. They have a little shop of Ben's Bells items. Homemade pottery, apparel, stationary, etc. There's a nice mix of stuff, and obviously the proceeds go to Ben's Bells.The only reason I knocked off a star is because the two times I've been in there, oddly enough, the staff at the desk was not actually kind at all to me. The one woman was actually cold and rude. I found that a little ironic given their message of "be kind." I would hope they would live by their message, but eh, I guess we all have bad days too. The irony made me laugh anyway, so it's all good for me. Other people may not be so understanding, though.Anyway, I like the property and the message, and I think the shop has a lot of neat little trinkets for ok prices.
