I loved my time at Tucson Bartending Academy!I worked in restaurants for 12 years and had never really been interested in bartending, but something about it started to seem appealing to me which is when I found out this school exists.I can't lie, when the idea popped up in my head I was a little bit skeptical of the whole thing- but when I got to chat with Gina and do a little tour of the school and the curriculum I had the gut feeling to do it and I'm so glad that I did-beyond getting to connect with other people interested in bartending, I learned so much in the two week program, and had so much fun utilizing the practice hours and getting comfortable with holding bottles/being behind the bar. If you sign up, I would definitely encourage you to show up for practice hours because it truly just helps you integrate everything you learn as you go.

So I retired from the army as a pilot and honestly I was looking into trying something new and fun. I went to this school and I have to say that it was a ton of fun. I got the chance to learn some really neat classic drinks as well as getting the opportunity to gain experience behind the bar, pouring drinks, learning pour counts, and a plethora of other things! Thank you to the staff and a really great teacher Barry! Shawn

Here's the deal: here you can learn the basics and quite a bit more, pushing you far ahead of most other bar tenders in clubs right now (most of them have horrible sloppy habits). Many people hate on bartending academy's, but other than how to deal with being 5 deep and in the weeds for 3 hours with no pee breaks, they teach you everything you need to know and then some. I graduated from here and have had nothing but successful encounters in the Bar industry. I manage a bar now and continue to learn more about what I call "Booze Theory" every single day. I was skeptical at first and questioned the Academy relentlessly about employment opportunities. They aren't lying...if you apply yourself, one or two weeks behind a bar pays for your tuition whether it's at a restaurant or nightclub. I learned from Robert Young. Guy knows his stuff! If your passionate about the art of bartending, I recommend this place to the highest degree.

Nothing but the loftiest praises to give here. Excellent hands-on training that continues well after you graduate for as long as you like and friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff (unlike your Social Sciences 101 ultra-leftist SJW kook professor) that are always at the ready to assist you. Oh, and ongoing job placement guidance as well! Hey, that might matter quite a bit! And no, it isn't cost-prohibitive in the least, especially when you put into perspective all the benefits you glean in the end. Highest possible recommendation!

Writing this review late but hey better late then never. Graduated August 2nd of last year and the experience and knowledge of the class was great! They do a great job of being friendly and helpful and do everything they can to get you to where you need to be to graduate so as long as you put in the effort it is great!!!

The refund policy is bunk. Do not go here! You don't need a LIC in this line to work. Place is a sham.
