Bare Necessity Wax & Spa

I found out about Bare Necessity through a GF and have loved the spa ever since. It's a beautiful space - small waiting area but cozy vibe, clean rooms. I've only been to the spa for Brazilian waxing but would love to try a facial! The ladies are very friendly and really make me feel at ease during my service. I appreciate how efficient they are and their ability to turn the experience into a pleasant one! The first time client discount is a great way to see what Bare Necessity has to offer. They will occasionally send discounts when a new esthetician joins.Bare Necessity is located in St. Philips Plaza so there is always plenty of parking!

Between the pandemic and the winter months, it's been quite some time since I felt like I wanted (or perhaps needed) some help with skin and body-hair maintenance, but I recently decided I wanted some smoothing, given the approach of pool weather and the possibility of in-person socializing. I had noticed Bare Necessity on a recent visit to St. Philip's Plaza, and decided to give them a try rather than the chain I had used pre-pandemic. Bare Necessity is great!!! The spa is quiet, clean, and relaxing, with calming music and serene décor. The lobby has lots of skin products to augment the procedures they offer. The individual rooms are very comfortable, and you can tell that they do a good job cleaning between every customer. I saw Claudia, who is absolutely wonderful. She was quick and highly professional with the wax, but very friendly! We chatted the whole time, which made the appointment fun and made me look forward to seeing her again at future appointments. Checkout is easy and touch-free; you can do a lot of it from your phone, which I thought was neat. Their prices are very competitive as well. I highly recommend Bare Necessity!

I like this spa. The staff is polite and hospitable, the spa is airy and clean, and the service is top notch. You'll leave smooth and bikini ready if you are in for a wax. I'll be trying the facial soon and will update this review to include that service as well. Definitely recommend.

I frequently visit Bare Necessity and always have an amazing experience! Lina, my favorite Aesthetician, is exceptional--she tailors each treatment perfectly and always makes me feel relaxed. The entire staff is attentive and genuinely passionate about their work. If you're looking for a place to unwind and indulge, I highly recommend Bare Necessity :)

It has been a month since my Brazilian and I'm still so in shock about my experience. I have received Brazilians before (NOT HERE) and they have been comfortable, professional, fun, and clean. Bare necessities is NOT that at all.I always get nervous before Brazilians as it can be painful and awkward. My experience with Claire was beyond awkward, painful, and unprofessional. First, she made me undress in front of her immediately. She didn't even turn around, leave the room, or give me a five minute break before we began. This made me feel completely rushed & uncomfortable off the bat. Second, there wasn't even a hygiene wipe offered. How much do you care about cleanliness and sanitation??? Third, it was SO painful. I told her it was really hurting, and that I had begun to sweat and was making it very obvious that I needed a breather and she disregarded all of it. Fourth, she kept me positioned in ONE position the ENTIRE TIME!!!Because of inadequate positioning, hair was remaining after she "completed" my wax. Hair was left in obvious places that I know she could easily see, and she didn't care. She also got it done in ten minutes. Which shows she didn't even want to do her job correctly and just wanted me out. Will never go there again. I will be telling friends to never go there, in hopes others don't have to go through a traumatizing experience like I did at bare -NOT MINIMUM- necessities.

So glad I gave this place another try & found Amy! She does such a great job & has such a welcoming energy. If you go to this place, I highly recommend her!

I have been going to this place for few years now. Today was a horrible experience all this because I was wearing a mask cause I have a soar throat the morning before my appointment. I am a healthcare travel so I was really trying to protect the technician. Long story short I paid $84 for a bikini and lower legs that took 10 min. It was obvious that the technician was getting rid off me as soon as she can. Never going back there very bad service.
