Baja Mar is a convenient stop for fish tacos right off of 22nd Street. When I arrived, I was a bit overwhelmed because the entire menu was in Spanish, and most of the staff only spoke Spanish as well. However, the staff was very friendly and helped me navigate the menu. I was ultimately impressed by the generous portions and delicious food. Although the food is served from a food truck in a tent, the food and presentation are equivalent to a nice restaurant! The fish tacos were delicious with a good batter. I also ordered the seafood taco with a tasty assortment of seafood: octopus, fish, fins, and manta ray. The only downside with this taco was that it was soggy by the time I got home. However, I commend how the tacos were loaded with toppings and packaged nicely to-go. I highly recommend Baja Mar for authentic Mexican seafood and a casual dining experience.Protip: There's a carniceria next door, so you can grab some groceries while you wait for your food. Also, from Monday-Thursday, Baja Mar has $1.99 fish tacos!

Came here after seeing it on YouTube. It was definitely worth the drive. The food was delicious and service was excellent! Prices where decent. It is a food truck with outdoor seating so don't expect a fancy place. Will return if I'm in the area.

I used to go religiously every Wednesday. I work going to people's houses and would always take out cash to eat here. The owner is also very humble and makes conversation with customers

Seafood tacos from this truck stop on 22nd and Wilmot are amazing, thanks to a friend who introduced me! There is three different locations! After the first taco I was pleasantly satisfied, but how could you just stop there when the first one was so delicious (corn taco with succulent mouthwatering shrimp topped with cheese and avocado and a sauce to die for) you have to make room for another. The other taco was just right breaded shrimp and cabbage. These tacos are very fulling to say the least and the prices are just right for the consumer who wants fresh shrimp or fish on the go. I will be going back to try more of their tantalizing tacos.

Cash only. Not posted on menu or front counter. Took forever to figure out how to get a menu and to get our check ( you gotta sit down and a waitress brings it to you) food not good and very expensive for what you get. I say skip this place. Waitress sweeping under your feet while you sit at table. Not worth it. Not a good vibe place. Skip it.

I was excited to try this place out since I was craving some fish tacos, however I was really disappointed with my experience. First of all they only take cash. So we had to run to the bank across to get some cash, come on people it's the 21st century, figure it out. Now the food- really disappointed. We tried a variety of tacos and most of them had little to no fish, a lot batter given the size of the shrimp/fish and they put a lot of cabbage on the tacos. Pretty bad. Also double check your receipt. They overcharged us by a taco- the amount is not a big deal but the principle behind it is what it's concerning. In about 30 minutes that we were there, there was another customer that was overcharged as well, so double check your receipt!

So i give this place a 1 star not because of the food. The food was actually good. I enjoyed my tostada super baja mar. It is big! I only ate one. But they get the bad review for the service. Now, i do not want this to come off wrong, or that I am racist or anything. But no one spoke English. My wife had a hard time ordering. They should at least translate the menu like other Mexican restaurants. Also, we felt super rushed. The waitress was mad that we only ordered two items. Then to top it off, their is no signs anywhere that say they only take cash. So when my happy ass was going to pay, they drop that bomb. It was super embarrassing and a inconvenience, i had to drive few lights away to a circle k. But, like i always say " thats my experience, yours could be different. If you come, make sure to bring cash.

OMG I had the best mariscos at this place! Ordered the Baja Mar Copa (I think) and it was the most delicious, lemonie thing I've ever consumed!! Thinking about it right now makes me want to have another one! Highly recommend.

This review must be provisional--while the menu was expansive and very well priced, our group only tried the stingray tacos. The tacos were well-executed, enormous, and buried under fresh vegetables. The trouble is, without an extensive background in stingray tacos, nobody knew if Baja Mar's stingray was especially gross or if stingray is always gross. The texture was nice and meaty, it was followed up by a pungent, ocean-rot aftertaste. Given the overall level of cleanliness and professionalism about Baja Mar, it seems likely that stingray just wasn't the entree for us. Baja Mar deserves another try, but it will be shrimp next time.

the food is delicious but the service is horrible. If you want to eat here I recommend to order online with Uber to avoid rude customer service
