Bacio Italiano

Had a lovely weeknight meal on the patio. Service was amazing- personable, knowledgeable, but not smothering. And the food was great. Started with some lovely cocktails- a great take on sangria and a peach Bellini for my friend. We then moved on to dinner- we got the one of full Beetlejuice three course dinner (we were on the way to the show after all) plus a couple other items. The beet salad tower was seriously to die for. I could eat it every day. And my friend raved about the pork entree. I had the (gluten free) penne ala vodka and it was delicious. And there are several other items I'm looking forward to trying next time- we'll be back!

Nice location, good ambiance. Excellent food, calamari and pastas. Generous portions and reasonable pricing. Pizza looked really good and definitely large enough to share. Not a large menu or wine list but certainly adequate. Now the bad, Olive the server. Probably waited 10 minutes for her to acknowledge our presence. Totally inattentive, spent a full 15 minutes chatting with the adjoining table while we waited for her take our order. Appetizers delivered without plates or utensils, water glasses not refilled. Overall she put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable meal.

I ate here with a group recently, and it was fine. I was a little disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, I found it lacking any ambience.The food was fine, not delicious. I ordered the chicken piccata. The food came out relatively quickly for the lunch hour. There was plenty of spaghetti, but only one small piece of chicken, and it was dry. It was odd because my friend ordered the chicken marsala and received two pieces of chicken. Go figure.The meal was pricey for what I received. Food and tip came to about $26 and I did not order a beverage. I'm not sure this is a place I'll revisit. Nothing was wrong, it was just fine and there are plenty of other great Italian places to choose from.

On my single visit here my party of eight began with excellent cheesy Stuffed Mushrooms and a classic Caesar Salad. Then we enjoyed Chicken Marsala, Fettuccine Alfredo, Penne alla Vodka with Chicken, Chicken Parmesan, multi-colored Tortellini and Shrimp Scampi. All portions were big, and my Chicken Marsala contained a huge hunk of chicken and very good light Marsala Sauce.The ambiance was modern casual. And service was good, although my Caesar Salad was initially forgotten.

Avoid Bacio Italiano if you have dietary restrictions and probably altogether. They started out great, but food quality and service has rapidly gone downhill.We regularly order takeout and tonight they ignored our modifications and our order was missing items. Tried to contact the restaurant but no one answered the phone.

Pretty great Italian food that we found while driving through town on our way home. It is right next to the university so parking can get interesting.All the food we ordered was amazing. I really wanted eggplant parm but they were out so I went with the chicken alternative. Chicken was cooked to perfection and the pomodoro pasta underneath was great too.Kids devoured the Italian-Hawaiian pizza. Tried the Panna Cotta dessert and it was just ok. Really too sweet for my liking and the strawberry drizzle made it even sweeter. Will stop by again next time we are heading through town.

I ate at bacio recently and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. They have tables and they can serve at the bar. The folks at the bar are great and everyone has a good attitude. The food is good. Really reasonably priced and I'll be back

Wonderful service. I would say one of the better service places on university. Have come a few times with friends and for work get togethers. There's something available for everyone!

This is a front street facing establishment on a hopping street filled with college students. Lydia was our server and is a lovely waitress. We ordered the meatballs and mushrooms as appetizers and the eggplant parmigiana, shrimp scampi and salmon as our individual entrees. All, and I mean all dishes were flavorful, well seasoned and tasty. However, the flow of food wasn't well thought out. Meaning appetizers were served and before we finished those our entrees were served. Which meant they weren't hot when being consumed. Additionally, I gave specific instructions as to how I wanted my salmon cooked. My cooking instructions were ignored. I did let Lydia know. Despite the absence of my instructions, the entire entree was delicious. My friends, who live in Tucson, made a mental note to return, as will I. Try it yourself and see if you agree.

Had dinner with my daughter and her friend while in town for parent weekend for her sorority. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive and my chicken marsala was great. Will be back next time we are in town!
