At-Home Kennels

I boarded our family of 5 pups (mom, dad & 3 of their pups) just recently. It was hard considering it was our first time to board our furry family members, then there were the confusion over the vaccines that we needed to have & didn't, plus having to deal with very separation-anxious dogs. We called each day to know how the dogs were doing, & they were surprisingly very accommodating considering their facility is always busy with people coming in & out boarding or taking their pets out. The facility is decent, nothing fancy but clean.They have enough space for the dogs to run & play.I liked that they exert effort to socialize friendly small dogs together & although my pack is a family & will probably stick together as thieves being in a new environment, I appreciated it that they're into the overall well-being of the doggies. I also liked the fact that they report to you what has happened. Like one of my pups puked (maybe of stress) or that they really can't tell which one is really eating or not bec the pups won't touch their food (mixed of their own dry food & wet food i cooked myself). I knew that is expected, so I had the staff to leave a bowl of dry day food for the pups to munch. I liked it that the dogs came back smelling good & they looked happy, not sickly. This place is amazing & they have an amazing staff. Kudos to Daniella at the front desk, & the nice lady who administered the missing bordetella vaccines to my 2 other pups. I highly recommend this place, but make sure tho your pups have an updated (within 6 months) latest bordetella vaccines bec you will run to get it. You need enough time to take care of this otherwise, you'll be late for your flight or trip. Call them a week before or read the forms you have to fill out so then you won'tbe in the same hassle we had (which is our shortcoming, not theirs). Affordability-wise, their pricing is very good, I would say. They told me I may get a discount for boarding 5 dogs, but they forgot & I didn't even attempt to ask bec I'm more interested in how they treat our furry family members than caring to ask for a discount. On a little side note, I used this facility in 2011 boarding my chihuahua. I was living alone, mykids hasn't come over from another country, I worked long nightshift hours as an RN, & Diego, my baby chihuahua, would always be left alone at night. Whenhe boarded day on one of my trips, I guess he loved it so much socializing with other tiny dogs that he hesitated to come home with me, it was heartbreaking! So yes, At Home Kennel, will be used again in the future. The people there love dogs & they will treat yours as a family too.

We recently boarded our three dogs with them for a week. We were very pleased. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were attentive to how our babies were doing and reported that back to us while we were still away. We will definitely use them again in the future.

By far the best. We bring fosters and our own dogs here. All sizes, types and each with their own behaviors. They are the only kennel we trust with our fur babies!

Just great service and add on amenities to make it special for your pet. Would highly suggest.

I own two very anxious dogs and one somewhat ancient (19 1/2 years) old kitty. I'd felt very nervous (not to mention guilty) about leaving them for a week but they all did wonderfully. The kitty is on multiple meds for health issues and clearly all of the directions were followed to a "T" because she came home in fine form. The dogs, despite having stayed there during monsoon storms, both made it through unscathed. While gone I called and also emailed for updates and all questions and concerns were answered quickly and thoroughly. Very grateful to AT-HOME KENNELS for providing excellent care. Recommend without reservation!

My dog loves this place! He gets a play time daily plus adding on a walk is just a few more dollars. The staff are friendly and professional and it shows that they care for and enjoy animals. They accommodate what your dog (or cat) needs and you can bring food, bedding, toys and treats and they will make sure your dog gets what is needed. I don't know what we would do without this place since we tried other places that didn't work out. Highly recommend!

I am late on writing this review but they really deserve it. I moved here about a year ago and this place has been awesome in every way. I did not know anyone here and have to travel for work often so I found this place. Every person that works there has been has been awesome to me and my dogs. I have two crazy German Shepherds and they love this place. Not once in a year have I had any problems and they always help to help me find space to board my dogs. The same people for the most part have worked there and I have never had bad service. They are awesome!

I've been using At-Home Kennels for two years. I love bringing my two cattle dogs here. The staff is friendly and my dogs get along with them. Since my dogs do not do great with others, this is a wonderful option as they can still get yard play together and I do not have to worry about other dog interaction.

I would never take my dogs here again. I left my dogs for 8 nights with At Home Kennels. When we came to pick them back up, they didn't have their x large dog beds and queen size blankets we dropped them off with, got misplaced we were told. When we asked for our bag of items upon arrival we were told we didn't give them a bag but after looking for awhile they found our bag with leashes, dog treats, chew toys and an itemized list of all items I brought with instructions left in the bag and never got touched. I asked to speak to the owner and she never reached out and the manager wasn't very nice herself and couldn't explain to me what happen. I am so upset that I trusted this is facility with my beloved dogs and I don't want anyone else to make the mistake of leaving their dogs at this place. Who knows how many days my dogs didn't have their beds to lay in. I also asked if their is a camera or any pictures taken of my dog the entire time they were in their kennels or outside having play time and not one, pretty convenient. How do I know my dogs got their walks and special breakfast that I asked for... it has been five days since we have been home and they still are not back to themselves, very clingy and have diarrhea. We have never seen them act like this after being away for a few days. I was hoping to find a place closer but will be taking them back to Sierra Vista in the future. Please don't trust this place with your beloved animals.
