I acquired a hospital-born antibiotic resistant bacteria. This is a matter of life and death that should not be left to a NP. I switched offices and now I am with Dr Barmitz. She is knowledgeable and empathetic. Understanding the seriousness of this bacteria. I believe it was acquired from a hospital in Oro valley which I will leave nameless. I went to the office in Oro valley where I was assigned a nurse practitioner wrong when my life is at stake I want a doctor this is not a simple yeast infection this is a 50% mortality for seniors I want someone that will give me all she's got and more to get me well. I am trusting my life with her. I also noticed that none of the hospitals are reporting this klubsiella pneumonia. Gentleman this isn't a lady's UTI this is a human bacterial deadly infection. The last place I would go would be to check into a hospital. If I had to, I would go to TMC. I called the office and talk to patient assistance today at the Orange Grove office I spoke with Janet for 26 minutes we spoke about everything that the doctor needed to be aware of .Seems she has a "Moat around her" which I can understand. So many patients with so few doctors. And now with bacteria from all over the entire world.I know doctors do not like to give strong antibiotics, I have had this for almost 1 year. I'm cashing in my antibiotic chip now! It's now or never...

This place got bought out by some managed healthcare Corp on the east coast; every visit, I see new faces, often frowning because they probably hate their job.Once my treatments are done, never again will I enter this business

Dr. Dunshee is my husband's doctor, and the best doctor either one of us has ever had. He's very knowledgeable, caring, compassionate, and clear. On one especially frightening Saturday night, he called my husband back at about 1am, spoke with him for quite some time, told us what to look out for in case 911 needed to be called, and then told us to call his office first thing for an appointment on Monday morning. his assistant was waiting for our call and found time for us that Monday. Another time he called us at 9pm because he was reviewing files and was concerned about something he saw recorded. I have nothing but good to say about him or the office staff.

I am being generous by giving this office a star. Phone messages from their answering service are not relayed to office staff. The office manager does not return calls even when she says that she will. You cannot get messages to doctors when problems arise from their treatment of your medical issues. Office staff are argumentative and rude. They cut you off and speak over you when you try and explain what is going on. I have lost all confidence in the doctor who was treating me. I actually hardly saw her at all. It was always an assistant, who by the way, was more pleasant to deal with.

Absolute worst experience with a medical office ever. I scheduled an appointment in October '23 for February 12, 2024 (earliest I could get). There was no contact by the office prior to the time I arrived on the 12th. I was then told the doctor I was to see was not taking new patients since 2 moths ago when he announced he was retiring. My appointment was rescheduled for February 13th at 11:15 with another doctor. That afternoon I got a "Confirmation " text stating my appointment was at 11:45 with a Physician Asst. I called and they said the doctor had no openings. I decided to go ahead and take the appointment. When i arrived on the 13th they said my appointment had been rescheduled as the PA was not in the office today. I said cancel that appointment as I am done with this office. Totally indifferent attitude by the office personnel. What happened to calling your patients to let them know what's going on? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS OFFICE!!

Ok folks, I am not a friend, relative or coworker of any one who works here.No one has asked me to write a review, i am doing this to do it, nothing more. I read some of the reviews about this place and it looked pretty grim. I was concerned to have to go here but it was the place my Doctor referred, so I gave them a chance. I had a CT scan done on 09/19/18 in the ER. It showed a tumor in my bladder. I called U.A.S.A. to set up an apt. From the second Yani picked up the phone it went great. She was professional, polite and had a great sense of humor. She set up an establish new patient apt. with a cystoscope right after, because of the urgency on 10/04/18. I went to see Dr. Manger. Him and his assistant ( wish I could remember her name to give her proper due) were fantastic. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything that was going to happen. It did not hurt. It was uncomfortable, but no pain and very little discomfort afterwards. Dr.Manger has the best bed side manner and took all the time I needed to explain everything and what was coming next. Surgery. Surgery was set up for Monday 10/08/18. He met me in pre-op explained everything again and answered all my new questions. He performed the surgery, this one hurt after, no lie, it really hurt but it's starting to get a little bit better as time moves on. I have an apt. 10/24/18 to follow up and see if it is cancer ( come on benign ) and see whats next on the get done list. From the first call, to today, no problems with any one I had to deal with, no problems with the insurance. I have Medicare/Aetna, no one was demanding money. I checked ahead of time and Dr.Manger accepts Medicare as full payment. Everyone was great to me, polite and extremely professional. If I had to pick out something that bugged me, it would be that they set up the follow up apt. without checking with me first to see if that time worked. I felt a little left out of the decision making process but that was the worst of it and not the end of the world.Bravo to Urological Associates of Southern Arizona.Thank you

One of the few doctors who will spend time with you to discuss your condition. To follow-up on procedures and questions, Dr. Dunshee has contacted me during the evenings, weekends, and holidays.
