On a day trip to Tucson, we visited Arizona Theatre Company to see a performance of Blues in the Night. It was a Sunday and we found street parking a couple of blocks from the venue. Upon arriving, part of what I liked was that the theatre definitely gave off Arizona vibes with its Native American architecture. We sat at the upper level. Another thing I like is that it's an intimate theater. This means you'll have a good view pretty much from anywhere you sit, including in the back which is where we were. The seats are reasonably comfortable and we enjoyed the performance. During the intermission, I got a local beer which was reasonably priced for an event venue. All-in-all, a great experience. Support the arts! I joined their email list to keep up with the performances they hold throughout the year.

Our friends are season ticket holders and were unable to use their tickets to Dial M for Murder. We had yet to attend a show at ATC yet and jumped at the chance. The theatre is intimate, which gives the audience a sense of being part of the action on stage. The show itself featured excellent scene work, directing, and acting. We enjoyed the length of the show too. If I had one complaint it's that, like most older buildings, the restrooms are inadequate. But, that won't keep us from going to another show.

Beautiful historic theater in the heart of Tucson. I went to see Blues in the night, and it was an incredible production. The costuming and lighting were absolute highlights. Acting was on point, and set design was moody and interesting.I'll definitely be back.

This continues to be my favorite venue in Tucson for plays. This year the talent has been incredible! I'm a season ticket holder and also love the wonderful service I get when I have questions or need to change my tickets to a different date. If you haven't been here, get tickets today!

I had the delightful pleasure of bringing someone along this weekend who had never been to the ATC, despite living in Tucson for 5+ years and being a fan of live theater in her previous state of residence. Her enthusiasm reminded me how good we've got it here. ATC boasts that there are no bad seats in the house - and they're right! I moved here from Chicago. For perspective you could place the whole of the ATC floor in the middle of a big city theater and the entirety would fit within their "A" section, so don't dread sitting "off center" at ATC.I've been a series holder for years. That's the best way to attend really. Not only do you get priority seating assignments but the prices carry the biggest discounts this way too. They're still pretty steep (for 2023-24: $790/pair for the best, $580/pair for the next, then $460/pr, and finally $410/pr for back-sides. There's a wonderful mix every season, including comedies, dramas, and musicals. Also, if you're a series holder you have courtesy rescheduling without penalties in case something comes up.Parking can be a challenge, especially if there is anything going on at the Children's Museum (2 blocks away) or at the Convention Center (2 blocks the opposite way). Definitely check ahead and/or just plan to arrive 30 minutes early. Better yet, with downtown so nicely revitalized, just visit a restaurant or cafe an hour beforehand and don't sweat a thing! There are two drinking fountains and gender-specific bathrooms. Lines can be long during their 15 min intermissions but everyone gets through. The adjacent cafe has both coffees and alcoholic drinks - and all may be brought into the theater and enjoyed during the play. All in all, another little gem in Tucson.

I came here for a show last week and loved this theater. Each row is a little higher up than the one in front of it so I had no problem seeing the show. They offer lots of discounts and even have a student one. Call in to purchase the student tickets. You can also buy last minute tickets for half off and $15 tickets on community night. This time I didn't love the show I saw but I have seen many shows in the past that were amazing at this theater. They have a little cafe open before the show. They have drinks (alcoholic and non), chips and cookies. I wish they had more food options.

Located downtown and metered parking very close walking distance. Got there a few minutes early before the doors opened and maybe 75 people were patiently waiting outside.Right before Thanksgiving I got to see Miss Bennet Christmas at Pemberley. It was considered a farce. I was not expecting much, I am not much of a play fan but I really liked it and was chuckling at some of the situations that transpired.I think the first act was 80 or 85 minutes, then a 15 minute intermission, then maybe 65 or 70 minutes in the final act. I thought it would be slow and boring and drag on, but it was intermission before I even realized it.We sat in the balcony, maybe 10 people up there total. I didn't see down below to see how crowded it was or what their view was like, but the view from up above was not bad at all, and you could see the entire play and what was going on.I enjoyed the play and if you are looking for something to do it it worth checking out.

Some friends joined us for a preview of the "Barefoot in the Park" production. It was an enjoyable evening of entertainment. The venue is older, but it was clean and comfortable. We appreciated that they allowed purses rather than just clear bags. We were also allowed to fill water glasses from the drinking fountains if we didn't want to purchase beverages from the bar area. My only complaint is the cost of a ticket. We went for a middle-of-the-road ticket cost-wise and it was still quite a bit, even with preview pricing. I purchased it online and there was an $8 service fee per ticket. When I picked up our tickets at will-call, I asked about that, thinking there wouldn't be a fee if I purchased them in-person. They said the fee would be charged either way. Perhaps we need to look into season tickets instead of individual plays and that might be more cost-effective. The play was lots of fun and we enjoyed our evening.

Got to love ATC. Been a member off and on for years and Covid paused that. Even during the pandemic, they had some virtual readings available. But we're happy to be back. Always professional and well done. And the customer service is impeccable. We showed up for the wrong night and were comped tickets. Nice. We will be back.

Not knowing this theater in Tempe, we purchased a season subscription (we have done this for many, many years). The seats we selected are not able to view any action that occurs on stage right. We asked for a change but were only told what ATC is UNABLE to do, explaining nothing else is possible. So we shall discard the remainder of this year's tickets, not subscribe in the future and adjust our estate plan accordingly. What a damn shame!
