Arizona Star Tours

My mom and I booked a star tour because we really wanted to take advantage of the clear skies and low humidity of the Tucson area. Benjamin was great with email and text communication and offered us a time and day that worked for us. The price for a private tour was reasonable and he was generous with his time. He has a really impressive portable telescope that projects digital images on a large monitor. He is super knowledgeable and has a good way of explaining scientific concepts to people of every level of astronomy, from beginner to expect. I highly recommend this experience!

We had the pleasure to have Arizona Star Tours as a guest at a conference dinner. They brought their telescope and traveling astronomer. It was amazing to see so many stars even on a semi cloudy night. We learned about Star clusters and other stars. Very cool to have at a party or dinner event.

We are at the tail end of a two week road trip throughout the southwest where we have visited 15 national parks/monuments/sites, been horseback riding, to art museums, and to multiple special events, and this was perhaps the most memorable and impactful thing we have done on the trip. We met Benjamin at Catalina State Park where he had set up an extraordinarily high-end telescope and camera. He took our group of six complete astronomy rookies through an incredible tour of the sky - showing us the most interesting things in our solar system, galaxy, and universe. He explained the depth and complexity of the universe in such simple detail and analogy that we could all understand. We saw spectacular views of stars, nebulas, and galaxies. Benjamin answered all our questions and had detailed opinions and responses for everything we asked him. Impressively, Benjamin tied the whole event together with a fresh perspective on our place within the universe. I would highly recommend to anyone regardless of the level of knowledge or background in astronomy. It was fantastic.

Wow! What an amazing experience!! I'll never look at the moon or sky the same after this. Arizona is known for its clear skies, which makes for some great star gazing. While staying at The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, we were excited to see that stargazing was offered. Benjamin brought his fancy telescope and educated us on constellations. He had a fancy penlight where he'd point out areas of the sky and then he'd get the telescope zoomed in and explain what we were looking at. He took some amazing shots from my phone, through the telescope. He's a very nice guy, very engaging and funny. He turns an educational experience into a fun one, as he clearly exudes passion for the stars. I'd highly recommend this to anyone traveling through AZ.

I agree with the review a year ago- patient and such knowledge base. He had chairs for us to rest in and the restroom was close too. We also got i-phone pictures of what we saw to share later with family and friends. He showed us great i-pad pics of the sky we missed this past year since we live in a more cloudy place. So if you live in Tucson and wonder what to do on all your starry nights or if visiting, make sure to go on the Tour. All it takes is to cup your hand around the eye piece and take in the wonder!!!

Amazing technology and a vast depth of knowledge broken down so even the most basic of us could relate and understand. Wonderful evening and we are definitely booking again when we are back in town! Benjamin was simply fantastic!

Loved this experience! We attended a Star Gazing group last night while staying at The Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain Resort. Benjamin was awesome and extremely knowledgeable! We learned so much and enjoyed every minute of our experience. He truly loves astronomy and he's 'down to earth'. Check it out- you won't regret it!

Ben is very knowledgeable and friendly. Take advantage of his tours at the Ritz-Carlton, and if you want a more hands on experience, consider booking a private tour with him. His telescope is very impressive too - the amount of detail you can see is incredible. My favorite thing to look at was the moon because of the mountains and craters you can see. You can also take photos with your phone via his telescope to really capture the moment forever. You can tell that Ben loves what he does! Highly recommend!

Ben is a true professional. A wonderful guy and the highlight of our trip. He was patient, knowledgeable, personable, fun and friendly. His knowledge of the sky is surpassed only by his enthusiasm of teaching others about the solar system. Considering that I am the astronomy enthusiast and my wife is not at all, we both were overwhelmed by this experience. It was awesome and my wife hasn't stopped talking about it since. We saw close-ups of stars, galaxies and constellations that blew our minds. His explanation of what we were seeing made the experience incredibly cool and we found ourselves both laughing and being in awe time after time throughout the session. He spent as much time as we wanted answering questions and allowing us to view various highlights in the sky. He took us on a fun, educational and memorable journey with his high-powered equipment and incredible knowledge of the solar system.If you are simply curious about the stars, constellations and the universe or an expert on the solar system or anywhere in between. This is well, well, well worth the money. Our time with Ben will be one we remember forever. Ben is the coolest Astronomy dude around. He is the bomb. Great time. Great guy. Had a great time looking though the high powered telescopes and hearing all about the planets & stars. Equipment was in great condition and the people were nice and fun to learn from.
