I have been a patient of theirs (unfortunately) for a couple of months now and so far I have no complaints. Everyone I've dealt with have been kind, professional and compassionate. I like both my surgeon and oncologist and do feel I am in good hands. I am kind of surprised with all the bad reviews. I do see that it is an extremely busy practice and maybe some people feel that not enough attention was given, which is totally understandable. You do want to be treated with extra care when you are sick. I do admit that it is sometimes hard to reach someone you want to speak with such as scheduler, financial person etc... but they do get back to you. So far I do feel i've received quality care overall

I cannot sing Dr. Shoua's praises enough. I am currently battling stage 4 colorectal cancer. Dr. Shoua has been so supportive throughout this journey. He really cares about his patients and wants the best possible outcome for them. I am so grateful that he is my oncologist and has put me on the path to one day be cancer free.

Went back last week. Rudasill location. Dried up urine in two chairs in waiting room. The place overall is still very depressing, dirty, old furniture, no sense of seeing a clean medical facility. Then go in the back by scheduling! If you want to add to your cancer challenges, and visuals, go spend some time in there and see the wonderful staff! (overworked and won't speak up to the managers because they are just grateful to have jobs. It's like they are scared to speak up.) They roll their eyes and can't say anything. Meanwhile AZONC, shows them no respect for their work environments or it's patients. Sitting in dumpy desks, dirty walls, old furniture, broken, much less the waiting room. etc. No one in marketing or office manager, have done anything about an overhaul. They don't care. Maybe the doctors should step in because it's also about marketing. Look at your low ratings of AZONC. I'm ready to go back to Mayo, MDA in Phoenix. Or even Banner here in Tucson. I hope staff and docs get this changed soon. Meanwhile it's like a cattle call in there. I've even met several patients who feel the same way and spoke up. Nada. Nothing. Please fix this. I don't want to give up my doctor there. Dr. M.

MY partner was diagnosed with a small, slow growing lung tumor two years ago. He saw the doctors who prescribed 5 radiation treatments. all has gone well as far as his CT scans and blood work. Now we see a very rushed NP, nice fellow, but yesterday, the appointment was changed. We were told this after arriving on time and had waited an hour, only to be told we would wait another hour for a visit that would have taken roughly 10 minutes. Three months ago, we were told that he could wait a year before having the next scan. Now he is told another scan is needed in 3 months, when all of his latest scans have been negative. Also so more blood work is suggested when the tests taken 2 weeks ago were fine. I am going to inquire by mail just exactly what the protocol is, so we can be assured he's getting the right care & not over done on the scans.

Dr. Richard Rosenberg may have years under his belt, but those years have caused complacency. To tell a patient there is nothing else he can do, when all options were not exhausted is negligence. He seemed to be focused on one issue instead of the whole issue. He treats labs and not the patient. There are over 200 different cancers and even more hematologic diseases, and because I didn't have the one he thought I had, he said I can't help you, even though I have a hematologic disorder. He did not seem to care about the blood and bone marrow disease. The radiologist and pathologist recommended additional labs to confirm life altering disease and he said I know you have it and there is nothing we can do. I have since been referred by my primary to a oncologist and hematologist that has my care in their best interests. He also did not fight for approval for my pet scan, because the information he gave the insurance company had nothing to do with why I was there to see him. I fought for the approval on my own. The office staff was nice.

Dr Mukkamala is a fine doctor, very patient and fully explains what is going on and clear as to the plan. The nurses are fantastic, the office operation is a nightmare. They are always behind in appointments, always have some reason for your inconvenience. The operation seriously needs a professional business manager. I very much appreciate the care I have received through two illnesses but the administrative process is broken and this is through two separate offices over a 7 year period.

My oncologists are outstanding. The front office services are horrible! The computers are consistently slow or down, you can hear staff arguing with patients on the phone (incredibly unprofessional!) and the seating area is cluttered and tacky looking. I am also very disappointed that, from time to time, the practice is out of basic supplies (gauze to wrap my wrist after a blood draw and saline used during chemo). Really? Aargh. Scheduling is a nightmare. The instructions provided to front desk personnel is too often wrong. My last blood draw instructions were also incorrect. AO -- please take these reviews seriously and improve your processes. This is unacceptable.

PThis man gave me two three week regimens within a week and I still today have healthy huge because of it and almost died. I was hospitalized and they said I was literally burning from the inside out drying up every part of my body. I had press pockets in my throat that were the size of my fist the doctor said. Had source my mouth because it all had to come out somewhere and it came out the most sensitive part of my body which was my mouth. It was horrible. We have been questioned it because we knew that it wasn't right and the receptionist called the doctor to make sure that I was supposed to have another chemo treatment and he said yes. Go ahead and do the chemo. This man is dangerous. Even his nurse Steve admitted it to my new Oncologist that it happened, because it turns out they were friends and used to work together. Please don't go to this doctor. I just want to warn other cancer patients what he did to me was horrific. Now I have so many health problems it's not funny

Absolutely the most horrific experience I've ever had anywhere in the world, and of all places, an oncology practice. I've never been treated in such a demeaning, dismissive and dehumanizing manner. I tried multiple times to explain to the "financial consultant" that the information she was being given by the insurance company was not accurate. She refused to allow me to speak, spoke over me and after repeatedly trying to get her to listen, she finally told me, "what you're going to do is be quiet and go sit in the waiting room." All this after my wife and I were asked to the back for more privacy. As I was at the front desk asking for her card to escalate a complaint, she came into the lobby to continue the conversation. I politely told her again that her information was not accurate and I would not continue to engage her in this conversation in front of a waiting room with 25 to 30 people watching and listening. I later asked to whom I should address my concerns about how my wife and I were treated. I was told that the practice manager was gone for the day but I could expect a call from her the following day. It's been two weeks and no one has bothered to reach out. I also voiced more detailed concerns in the electronic survey sent by the office, to which there has been no reply. Treating the whole patient is essential for healing and recovery. When the practice is this avaricious, patient outcomes will always suffer. This representative of the medical practice caused more anxiety and emotional trauma, many times over, than the cancer diagnosis itself.

It appears there's a consistent trend at this office. I had a terrible experience with Dr. Hendershott and her incompetent staff. After seeing a new surgeon it appears Hendershot fell short in so many areas. She never reviewed my mammogram or images with me and she didn't send my biopsy to a breast specific pathologist so my diagnosis is not correct. This resulted in a wrong diagnosis, thank God I saw a new surgeon and can follow through with the correct procedure.
