Arizona Ballet Theatre is a cute little ballet studio. The owner is extremely kind, at first I thought I was talking to one of the other family members of a student but nope, they all act like family here which is awesome. Everyone I have encountered has been very friendly. There is a small sitting/waiting room where you can watch the ballet sessions if you are just there to observe which is pretty neat. Sometimes it gets a little crowded inside, and even parking can be tough but I've never had to leave on either. They also have some little toys that the other kids can play with. There are two dance rooms and I believe one bathroom. They offer several discounts, including military. We enjoy this studio. Cory is a good teacher.

We moved to Tucson from L.A. and I was looking for a studio for my daughter to continue ballet. This studio is perfect. Miss Cecily is a brilliant teacher. She is so good with kids! I have seen major improvements in my daughter's form and in her understanding of movement. My daughter loves going to class. The community there is friendly and welcoming. The parents speak to each other, which is wild. It is one of those special places that you'll be so glad you found.

Taking ballet as an adult for the first time ever is a scary thing...but I did it. I found an amazing studio that I loved, with friendly, informative teachers and even a live pianist in every class and floor to ceiling windows facing downtown Brooklyn. It was heaven. Then I moved to Tucson and had to find a new studio...double scary. My first Tucson class was at ABT and it was AMAZING. The instructor was wonderful, the studio is very inviting and Miss Cecily is beyond words - I just love her. The students were even great - super friendly and of all ages and skill levels. I also took a class at Breakout Studios and ABT blows them out of the water. My only wish is that it were closer to my house so I could attend class more often. Keep up the great work Miss Cecily and team!

On the third Saturday there is Desert Moon Blues. I'm so excited that Tucson now has a blues event. This dance has been underground for a long time. It's nice to see so many people learning this dance.Really friendly environment. The past few times I went I met a lot of out of towners. This added a lot of flavor and skill. I will definitely go again:)

As a dancer that started as a mature student, I expected to feel at home here, but didn't, and only stayed a few months. Intermediate class is realistically an advanced class, with a barre and centre routine that's very different than any other studio I have been a part of. Beginning class was big on detail (and Jan is really good at helping her students), but could have been faster-paced. There are, however, a lot of folks who really like ABT, and there are a lot of reasons to like them: it's a decent location, with good prices and teachers with a lot of experience.

I recently returned to ballet after a 25 year absence, so basically starting from scratch.ABT has provided wonderful instruction plus a warm atmosphere. Jan's beginning adult class really covers the details of the technique in a way I can understand. Cecily, the owner is so passionate about the joy that dance can bring, and loves to see everyone happy and dancing. Her energy is great, plus she has the quickest feet in the West! It is very inspiring.Thank you ABT!
