I love the architecture of this building. The Arches remind me of ancient Rome. Some days I feel like I lived in that time and we walked in snow uphill both ways to the Colosseum. Seriously, the Arches Building opened in 1928 as a plumbing-supply warehouse. In 2010, it was purchased by Steve Fenton and transformed by Steven Eye and others from nearby Solar Culture into an arts and event center in downtown Tucson's Warehouse Arts District. Many of the rooms in Arches are artist studios, but it also houses Burden Basket, Dreamco Web Design and Milagro Boutique. There are a few rooms that may be rented for performances, gallery shows, etc.I couldn't give up the 5th star because the building is in need of a receptionist, a directory or something to help you get around in there. If I worked there I wouldn't feel safe. Any old lady, from ancient Rome, can park her bike and wonder around without being challenged.
