Assigned via AHS home warranty. AC broke at 11pm, Ambience confirmed appt the next morning and was out at the house the following day. Call morning of to confirm they were on the way. They found the problem and replaced blower unit all within 2 and half hours. Couldnt ask for much better when whole state is 110 degrees.

They installed a new AC unit on our house and it's still under warranty . It's working good and they show up when they say they will, do the job right. No issues. It's pricey but market rate from what I know.

Ambient Air was the contractor assigned by AHS. Rigo came out a couple of months ago to repair our HVAC system. He immediately suggested that the entire system be replaced. When I requested a price to repair the unit I received quotes, to repair the AC unit and to replace. Due to a misunderstanding on my part, I didnt realize until it was to late that the unit would be replaced. A couple of weeks ago, during a home inspection, the unit was not operating. My wife contacted AHS and Rigo came to the house. He claimed the home inspector did not have any idea what he was talking about. My wife tried to explain to him that the unit also would not shut off, only removing power from the unit would stop the fan from running continuously. He ridiculed her by claiming she didnt know how the unit worked: a chauvanistic comment. He then proceeded to try and upsell my wife on replacing the heating unit, ridiculing me to my wife that I was stupid for not having the entire unit replaced originally. When he realized she would not fall for his scam, he was cordial. My wife had to insist that she wanted the unit repaired. When it was apparent he would have to repair the unit, he lingered about making numerous inapproprite advances towards my wife. My wife contacted the office about his inappropriate behavior. The office receptionist understood my wifes complaint and claimed she felt the she wouldnt appreciate it if it was directed towards her. NO ONE from Ambient Air contacted my wife about the situation. Ambient then sent Josh out to repair the switch problem and he was awesome. He found other issues and immediately had the parts brought to him. He was very professional and courteous.It seems that Ambient sends their salesman out for the initial diagnosis intead of sending a service technician. Then when he is finished trying to upsell the customer, then another appointment is set up to actually fix the problem.

Moved into this home in April 2024. This home had a AC/Heating system installed in early 2020 that was under warranty and installed by Ambient Air. I had a problem in August 2024 with the system and called Ambient Air. They came right out and fixed the issue. I was encouraged to purchase their service contract so I would not have to pay trip charges and would get parts at lower fee. I did this but this was stupid on my part. Called for the winter maintenance of the system in January 2025 based ont the service contract. The technician arrived early and was pleasant. He wasn't on the roof 5 min before he came down and told me that the internal motor for the blower needed to be replaced. He also told me that Lennox would probably not honor the warranty since I am a new owner and the warranty needed to be transferred to my name. The part is $1200 and 5 min after leaving my home he told me that Lennox denied the warranty claim. The maintenance check of my system was not done. I then contacted my home warranty plan to see if they would come out and pay for the part. A different company came out and informed me that the motor is working properly and explained the discoloration on the motor which is what the techinician was using as the basis for replacing this expensive motor. The techinician left screws lying on the roof and did not replace them on the sheet metal where they belonged. My system still has not been checked for maintenance. Nothing is wrong with my system and the technician telling me it needed to be replaced is equivalent to consumer fraud in my opinion. I had previously given a very positive review for this company but will not longer use them for the maintenance of the system. When I straighten out the warranty issue with Lennox I will use someone else. I paid money for service contract but I have no faith in these technicians.

Ambient was assigned by American Home Shield and did a terrible job. My AC stopped cooling in December. It took them 6 months to supposedly fix it. We found out in June that it was still not working, and eventually hired another company. They immediately diagnosed the issue and fixed it the next day. It was expensive to go outside of the warranty, but the knowledge and quality of the other company was immediately evident. Ambient tried a few different things to fix my AC over 6 months, none of them worked. Each time they were ordering new parts with long delays. It seemed their work was more designed to maximize how much they could bill AHS as opposed to actually fixing my problem. I cancelled AHS and would not recommend Ambient if you want folks who know what they are doing.

Ambient was assigned as my HVAC contractor by American Home Shield (AHS). Like so many others, I had a terrible experience with them. My HVAC stopped working, and when the technician came out to diagnose the problem, he supplied us with erroneous information on what our out-of-pocket costs would be, how a new system would have to be installed (by crane, apparently) etc. In any case, AHS ordered a refurbished compressor to replace the one that died, and it was delivered THE NEXT DAY. I was even provided the tracking number and FedEx proof of delivery by AHS. Ambient claimed to have to record of any such delivery and had no idea who could have possibly signed for it. The woman at the front desk whom I spoke to multiple times over the course of trying to sort out this mess was rude, inflexible and distinctly unhelpful. I lost track on how many times I reached out back and forth to AHS and FedEx as well to start a lost delivery claim because Ambient insisted that they did not have the compressor. In the meantime, we were in the middle a record heatwave in Tucson in June. Out of the blue I receive a call from Ambient that the compressor could be installed. A week later. They never admitted that they had indeed received it on the original FedEx delivery date nor did they claim any culpability. A word to the wise: if AHS assigns Ambient Heating & Cooling as your HVAC contractor, INSIST on a different company. For the sake of your mental health, you'll be glad you did.

4-1/2 years ago Ambient installed a new Lennox AC system. Yesterday it quit and with the reviews here I hesitated to call them to service what they installed. I went forward anyway, called them at 7:30am and before 8:30am they were here. James was my expert technician and it became obvious quickly that he earned this title. He was very thorough and solved my problem and did a great job communicating and teaching. I would not hesitate giving Ambient your business!

Ambient came out through my American Home Shield warranty. We had a freon leak and the tech immediately refilled the freon at a cost to me of $1,250 without bothering to investigate the cause of the leak. About 45 minutes later, with no diagnostic tools or tests, he determined the coil board or whatever it is in the attic would need to be replaced. And after informing me that we would likely have to pay him upwards of $800 for the install because my warranty company would not cover all the expenses, he then told me I should dump AHS, go with Ambient and while I'm at it just replace my entire system at a cot of $10k. Meanwhile, 72 hours later, all that expensive freon has leaked out again and my AC is again not working. Who puts freon in a system before fixing the leak?

We purchased a home in March and had Ambient Air come out in May through our home warranty policy with American Home Shield because our mini-split was leaking. They repaired it with a zip tie and now, 5 months later, it is leaking again causing more damage to the frame of the door below. They only guarantee their work for 30 days and are willing to come out for a service fee of $85. It is the exact same problem they repaired five months ago. In their defense, it has worked for five months. However, it is reasonable to believe that if it was repaired correctly, the repair should last more than five months. Or am I to believe that every five months a zip tie needs to be replaced at the cost of $85?
