lowering my review to 1 star as I just saw my VSP was never refunded.This was back in October after I called 2X to have it refunded. I was told they would specifically refund it and it would take up to a month.

They sell wonderful frames that other stores don't.But...I had a pair of glasses that needed new lenses because of a new Rx. I had to go there 6 times until I was finally able to get lenses that I could see with.I bought a new frame & so far I've had to go there 4 times, the 4th because I received an email saying the glasses were ready when they weren't. I still don't have the glasses.In both cases they had to re-do the lens even though I told them in advance what they needed to do.One time I had to wait for 50 minutes.Way overpriced for the poor service but if you want the frames...

The doctor was amazing! I haven't had a prescription help me see that well ever and I've been wearing glasses since elementary school. The staff was friendly and everything was very professional. My only point off would be for lack of affordable options but wow definitely coming back!

Visited for a Contact Lens exam and was through the initial stages (Air Puff Test and focus test) very quickly and was attended to by Dr. Tetrault, who was very attentive and answered all of my questions about contact lenses (I have never worn them before). During this time, I was told that the office would receive trial lenses and we would determine what would be the best fit and I would undergo a tutorial to learn how to best wear them. I was then sent to another member of their office staff. Despite my indicating that I had never worn contacts before, I was repeatedly asked how large of a supply that I wanted, which showed me that either instructions weren't being read or the person assisting me didn't care. I paid my copay and left, being told I'd be given a call to schedule the tutorial and pickup. Flash forward about a week later (August 28th), when I received a text message indicating that my contacts were ready for pickup. However I had not received a call to set up my tutorial, so I reached out to the office. An extremely nice person picked up the phone and happily took a message but advised me that only one person at the office could do the tutorial for contacts and that I would get a call back. As of today, I haven't received a call back from the office. Understandably, they may be busy but if I don't receive a call back by Friday, I'll probably just go the YouTube route and take my chances.

Dr. Schulte is my eye doctor and is very informative and thorough in her exams. She performed eye test and explained everything that she was doing. I will always take my business to her.The staff is also very hands on and friendly and worked with me on eyeglass choices. Thank you Alvernon!!!

I have been going to Alban on optical for several years. The service has gone downhill. They have made me go 4×.1st time I went I called and asked if they had all my insurance information they did when I got there they could not find or locate my insurance just walked out then they called me and said that they had found my insurance and here I go, my wife and I to get an eye exam Got exam and purchase classes then I get an email saying that my eyewear is ready. I go for my eyewear and only one pair. My wife's pair was not done funny thing about it. Is that when I get home two hours later from running around I get a message that her glasses are now there now I have to go again. Who's who's paying for gas or why are they calling twice if we're considered two different customers but yet we run one card they should program their service for one Call even a couple gets it. It should not be considered as one should be considered as one customer not two customers. This is the last time I go to Alberon optical the attitude on the personnel you can feel the tension in that store. it's not like I just went for the IX exam last year we spent over $300 on a pair of glasses and this time around I went for low-cost glasses but we did end up billing my insurance for over $300 for frames plus the lenses so they got their money one way or the other and I thought America's best was the worst place to go. I will not optical is the last time I go to you guys. Not to mention the special times that I have to take off work and the gas that I've wasted what a joke.

Dr. Tetrault really saved my *ss. I was in town visiting my in-laws for Thanksgiving when I came down with a nasty case of conjunctivitis. He saw me without an appointment, over his lunch hour (!) and was kind enough to not only write me a prescription, but supply me with some extra contacts free of charge.Icing on the cake; I got a loving dressing down about my contact wearing habits. He immediately made me feel like a part of the family and rescued what could've otherwise been a botched holiday. Highly recommend him for all your vision needs!

I was fitted for a new brand of contacts last week. Daily wear. After I left the office I've had scratching and redness so bad that I had to remove the right contact after an hour or two. I called to come in to see what's wrong as I can't see. The front office said, sorry booked for the next two days. I said.. I can't see. I said should I go to ER? She said.. I dunno.. do what you have to do. We are booked. I decided to put drops in and see if the pain and redness might go away. Hours later.... the office left a message saying an appointment opened up tomorrow and I should call back immediately as appointments fill quickly. They should have taking me in immediately. I'm going to make an appointment with a professional not Alvernon. By the by.. I been going to Alvernon for 15 years. Just the office and Dr's have changed.
