This place is super local. We were on a golf trip so when we walked in ready for golf it was like everyone else was on the set of Landman, which is to say, this place was awesome. We were seated quickly by the staff who were very friends and very fast with service. I had the chicken fried chicken which was excellent along with coffee and OJ. The ambiance isn't upscale as I said earlier, but if you're looking for a great local breakfast spot, you cannot go wrong. I rate places based on what they are and for this little local cafe 5-stars. You won't regret a visit.

We don't get to this side of town often. Because of the gem show, we had to detour to get to the restaurant, but it was very worth it. It's an old-fashioned cafe where the locals know each other, the servers hug and you feel comfortable striking up a conversation. There are several tables, booths and seats at the counter. They have breakfast all day and lunch starting at 11, plus daily specials. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs, and the Hubbs had the turkey meatloaf special. It came with clam chowder which was very good. Both meals were generous portions and fresh-made. Service was excellent. We will be back!

Had breakfast at Ajo Cafe while electronic camper brakes were installed on truck purchased from Affordable Autos across E. Ajo Way. Very good breakfast with the best bottled complimentary hot salsas from Tucson's locally made Old Pueblo Poblano Mexican Sauces that I've experienced, which blend great with breakfast entrees.

Exactly what you might expect from a small mom and pop diner. Good breakfast and great prices, with friendly staff. This spot is great for a quick meal when you're running tight on time. It's small and intimate, I can imagine it might get busy at times.I ordered the chorizo scramble with refried beans which I enjoyed. Nice combo to choose the beans (I forget the other options).Close to my workplace so I'll likely return and try some other items as well.

This diner is Down from the VA hospital. I' m early for a appt. I went country, chicken fried steak and eggs and gravy n toast. It was pretty good but I expected more at the counter. Had to wait on coffee. I might come back for the Mexican breakfast special. Road house decor. Friendly waitress.

Want a the full-on cafe experience- this is your place! It's small, family run (I think), quaint and delicious, with simple food served fresh. I had a basic grilled ham & cheese on rye and it was excellent and exactly as I was expecting. Also, added a slice homemade banana cream pie. The pie was delicious. The crust just so. All the same, when I am back in this part of Tucson, I will be stopping here to try other items.

My go-to breakfast diner with quality food choices and affordable prices. Today, we went for the daily special and french toast topped with fresh fruit. The french toast is definitely some of the best french toast to graze my pallet. This was paired with 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns, to my suprise I finished all of it. I was beyond satisfied!

This is the BEST breakfast/lunch spot in Tucson! Down home cooking, family service. We make sure we make a stop whenever we are in town. The cinnamon roll and banana bread is a non miss. I always go for the huevos rancheros.. also the chicken fried steak. Give em a shot you won't be disappointed.

It's a nice, clean little diner with good diner food, great service and good price. It's a spot where you can fill up with no regrets. Nothing fancy here. Just home cooking and friendly service. Obviously a local favorite because it was full of "regulars" and the waitresses knew a lot of the customers by name. I'll go back when I'm hungry and in the area.
