Affordable Home Realty has managed my property for about 5 years. The manager, Erika, has done an excellent job at keeping it rented and getting necessary repairs done quickly and in a cost effective manner. She does a great job in communicating and keeping me informed of the status of the property. I can highly recommend Erika and Affordable Home Realty to professionally manage your rental unit.

I honestly don't know where to begin with this company, and I think even giving them 1 star is far too generous. Never have I felt more taken advantage of then but my time spent living in a property owned my Affordable Home Reality. The property manager Erika, is one of the most unorganized, unprofessional, and honestly one of the most rude individuals I have ever had to deal with. I should have known this was going to be a horrible experience when my first impression of Erika was her blowing off our scheduled meeting to view the property and I heavily regret not backing out then. Fast forward a year later and Erika 1) has failed to respond to the complaint I filed with the BBB 2)Failed to return the remainder of my deposit until 2 months after vacating the property (which is against Arizona law of returning of deposit within 14 days) 3) Withheld $700 in "damages" to the property when all she mentioned we should expect to see was a small fee for per her words for "small holes" and 4) Told me that the lease we signed was "incorrect" after I attempted to dispute absurd charges withheld and correct her on wrongful charges. I was willing to purse legal action but did not because I am currently living abroad. I could go into much more detail but I will keep this short and to the point, just heed my warning...save your time and money and stay as far away from Erika and Affordable Home Reality as possible or you will heavily regret it just like I do.

STAY AWAY FROM AFFORDABLE HOME REALTY. The manager, Erika, is just short of being Satan reincarnated. She will act nice to your face but when you actually need her or any of her associates at Affordable home realty it is nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone. Upon move out I had meticulously cleaned my apartment and when I did the move out walk through with Erika she said everything looked great. Needless to say I was surprised to find out that $300 was taken Out of my security deposit with the explanation that the $200 I had already given as a cleaning fee did not cover the cleaning crew and she could not give any evidence of the apartment being dirty at all. $500 for a small 500 square foot apartment is completely absurd. Furthermore, I was fined an additional $100 for water spots on a glass shower door. I don't know if it's just me but that makes absolutely no sense. Heed my words and STAY AWAY FROM AFFORDABLE HOME REALTY.

I rented a 2 bedroom town home on 2nd street. Originally I rented with a different company but Affordable Home Realty acquired the property in the middle of my lease. At the end of my lease I told them I would like to be present for move-out inspection. I called multiple times for about a month and kept being told the manger of the property had not gotten around to it (She never talked to me herself). I was told it shouldn't be a problem getting some/most of my deposit back but I stated I still wanted to be present for the inspection. (My lease stated I have a right be to present and informed when it occurs). Now it's been about 3 months and I have given up. No phone calls back, not letters in the mail (I had given them my new address a couple of times) I guess I've learned the reality of dealing with a shitty realty company.

Affordable Home Realty is the absolute worst management company I have ever dealt with. The franchise owner is utterly incompetent. If you search for other reviews on BBB and Yelp you will find a trending theme all comparable to our experience. I wish that we had researched this local franchise before ever signing with them. We were fed constant lies from the very beginning. We were treated with absolutely no respect. Both the landlord Misty Lacy and the franchise owner Erika Robertson treated us like they were doing us a favor by allowing us to pay rent and that we had no rights whatsoever as tenants. When we moved in the neighbors came up to us and told us that the the landlord was crooked and that the management company Affordable Home Realty did all of her dirty work. After that I insisted that everything be put in writing and that if and when the time came we would hire a lawyer if they tried to steal our deposit. Even when we moved out Erika said the landlord never gave anyone back their full deposit. This company represents and is full of unethical bottom feeders. I should've seen the writing on the wall when Erika bragged about not caring that one of her tenants was going to sue her. When we moved in several things were broken and were promised to be repaired - this was never done. After nine months of inquiring as to when they would be fixed I gave up. Emails regarding repairs were conveniently lost. People hired to do repairs never showed up or even called. The warranty company was a nightmare to deal with. It was so bad that at one point the air conditioning unit broke in the hottest part of the summer. Erika told us that the landlord Misty Lacy hadn't kept up the the house warranty ( a violation of our lease) and that they would send an electrician. The electrician told us that he was told not to fix the air conditioning unit just to look at it and wait for the warranty to kick in the following week. He refused to do that as we have two small children and he was able to fix it. I mean how low and disgusting can a person be. This person is so unprofessional we would receive nasty incoherent texts accusing us of something only for it to have nothing to do with our house - with no apology. One time I sent an email about a repair and 2 weeks later nothing -the repair gets worse. I sent a text and was told the item would be repaired. Another two weeks go by I ask about the repair again - am told no timeline to have it fixed as they are working on emergencies. Four months later I am told the landlord has decided that they will not do the repair until we are out of the house. The frustration and the lies were endless. Living in this house knowing that we had to battle for every little thing and that in the end they would look for anything to try and steal the deposit basically ruined our time in Tucson. Dealing with Erika is like dealing with a compulsive liar who isn't intelligent to enough to remember her own lies or to even know what she is talking about most of the time. The person who cleaned our pool worked for her ex husband and I can say her personal life is as shady as her professional one.

This company is awful They purchased the apartment complex I live in, raised the rent, then sold it less than a year later. We had a disgusting pool, water outages without notice, constant inspections (fortunately with notice), and awful amenities. By the time they sold we only had one working washing machine left for a 24 unit building. The other ones had been broken for a long time and despite constant requests they would not fix it. They were nearly impossible to get a hold of and I once had to call nearly twenty, leave two voicemails, and send four emails times before I got an answer. When they finally did answer they denied getting receiving any the other attempts at contact. They would set up mandatory inspections that required me to take my cat out of the apartment, so I would have to take time off work to wait for them. Unsurprisingly, they just didn't show up and would reschedule and do it all over again. I don't want to get personal about the people running it, but the company as a whole was terrible. I would have moved out the second they bought the complex if I knew what it would be like.
