A Foam & Fabric Place

I love walking into this place because I know I can get some great vintage fabrics and foam for all of your needs! If you are looking for big box this isn't the place for you! It's not your typical aisles put together by colors or prints. You get the opportunity to dig and look for what you had in mind and then you find something even better!!!!!!I love supporting this store! Owner is very nice and knows his stuff! When you are in need of some great fabric stop in!

I have driven by this place probably a 100 times, hidden in plain sight. I needed to match a vinyl to an upholstry project I have at the moment. My distributor wanted to charge me $75 per yard for the exact vinyl, these guys had a similar vinyl in stock for $15 a yard. These guys also do a lot of custom work. When I went in there was a lot of patio furniture that needed repairs. They make custom cushions and replace the material on outdoor patio furniture. Definitely recommended and if you can shop local. They have a ton of material in stock and they sell direct to the public.

The second oldest business on 4th Street. A Foam and Fabric Place was started in 1971 and is now populated, in part, by two very friendly and engaging employees. I like the fact that this little shop belongs in a "Big City" garment district, not a busy "College Town" street. But such is the charm of this cluttered fabric and foam store. We had a custom size foam cushion cut for the side of our 92-year-old mother's bed. This cushion provides a safe landing for our spry but disoriented family member. The cushion slides under the bed when not in use as a crash pad.

We took our pillow shams in yesterday for some help--they are a weird size and I could not find inserts anywhere. Gail listened carefully and then gave me a couple of different options. We ended up having her make custom inserts and they look so good! The turn around time was a day...pretty amazing. I would highly recommend Gail and the other staff. Beyond being helpful and knowledgeable, the are friendly and enjoyable to deal with.

We had four armchair cushions custom-made and upholstered at Foam & Fabric. We were very pleased with their selection of affordable fabrics and really appreciated their customer service (they were knowledgeable and fair). We've had the cushions now for 2+ years and we still get complimented on the chairs for their comfort and style.

Great selection of upholstery fabrics. They also do reupholstering. Highly recommend this place.

If you need fabric or foam, I would suggest you find another establishment. Our experience here was just short of "terrible." First of all, the place is shambolic. We could barely walk around inside. The aisles are strewn with chairs, open tool boxes (with sharp edges!), cardboard boxes, etc. I don't think they have cleaned the inside of the store for years. The guy who waited on us didn't have a clue when I asked if they had foam bolsters. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. This store must be under new ownership because I went here about 8 years ago and got great service.

Foam and fabric place has had my awning for 7 months and counting... now they're not answering their phone... I guess I'm screwed what a way to run a business

I called Foam and Fabric this morning to inquire about a piece of fabric for our golf cart. The gentleman on the phone was so helpful and encouraging that we made the drive into town. I had the same man help me once there (so sorry I did not get his name). Again he could not of been nicer and more helpful. He gave us several pieces to choose from and it did not seem to matter that we only needed a yard. He took the time to explain the difference between regular vinyl and nautical vinyl to us. If I ever need cushions re done or made, I know where I will be going. Many fabrics to choose from and EXCELLENT customer service. Hard to find these days.
