3 Palms Hotel Tucson

The staff was friendly and very attentive. And the room was clean. The experience was a little bit less than desirable. First impressions matter and staff member at the front desk, Elijah, made sure that my stay began on a high note. They were extremely inviting and upbeat. I immediately felt safe on arrival. I pulled my car around the back, carried my bags up to my room and the feeling of safety and security immediately fled. My room door was open before I had the chance to step foot inside. It wasn't wide open but it was cracked. I'm sure most would be alarmed and immediately put off just like me. I called the front desk, reported the situation to Elijah and was promptly given a new room.The room itself was fine. It was exactly as shown. Nothing more, nothing less. If I had one nitpick it would be the lighting in the rooms. I was able to adjust the brightness of the central light but the bulb used was very harsh and gave a cold light almost fluorescent. So I honestly just opted to keep the lights off most of the time. On my last day, I decided I would relax in the jacuzzi. I had been wanting to but every time I passed by the pool I would see a group of people had already beat me to it. Well, on my last day I went to the jacuzzi early to ensure I would be the first one there. I immediately noticed a bottle of shampoo from one of the rooms lying next to the jacuzzi. I knew something felt weird but I decided to ignore it. I turned on the bubbles and the jacuzzi began to froth up as if there was soap in it.I know it's not the fault of the hotel or its staff and rather the guests but that really put a damper on my stay. I just thought that was so disgusting, inconsiderate and inappropriate. Just nasty! Anyways, I reported my findings to the front desk and they said they would have someone look into it. I went up to my room and packed my bags. No jacuzzi for me. I went to the front to drop off my room key, they thanked me fore reporting the jacuzzi situation. I once again reported finding the room open being that it was Sunday and I assumed they would be having many checkouts that day. Then I left.Overall, not bad place to stay. I don't know? I guess be careful if you're going to stay here? Just thought I'd share my experience.

I've stayed here multiple times and is overall a good place to stay. The rooms are decently appointed, the front desk staff very polite / helpful, and the check-in/out process is swift and easy. The amenities and pool area is nice and there's ample parking. Housekeeping is friendly. Coffee in the lobby is great. Location is good. A few things to improve: housekeeping is not always super thorough; in my most recent stay, there was clothes / items from the previous guest under the bed (we discovered this on day 4 of our stay.) The soaps/shampoos are not always replenished. Last time, housekeeping left a toilet brush on the counter, which is unsanitary.

Check-in with Joe set the tone for how wonderful my stay was going to be. This was the best stay of my trip by far and also the least expensive! That's a balance that is often challenging to strike. Conveniently located property - beautiful room - comfortable bed - reliable WiFi.I very rarely return to the same hotel as there are so many options but I will surely be staying here next time I visit!

Check in was amazing gentleman named joe . He made me feel welcomed and was very professional and fast . Thank you joe

I am frequently in the Tucson area and have stayed at this hotel many times without issue. Today was different. My boyfriend and I stayed there last night and this morning he left for a meeting. I hadn't deadbolt the door yet because I was in bed and not dressed. Two minutes after he left there was a knock on the door. I assume my boyfriend forgot something. I yelled HANG ON and I jumped across the room to let him in while hiding behind the door because again, I was not dressed. As the door starts opening a man states "housekeeping". Luckily I'm behind the door at this point and can stop him from opening the door. It was 8:45am. We were due to check out at 11am like normal. There was absolutely no reason for housekeeping to try and come in my room at that time. None. He didn't apologize even. I was so disturbed I called the front desk. "I'll let the housekeeping manager know" the helpful woman said. Not an apology from her either. I'm so disgusted that I can't ever stay there again. The blatant disregard for my privacy in a room I had paid for until 11am is sick. I yelled hang on. There is no way he didn't hear me and he still proceeded to come into my room at a time when housekeeping should not be there.

Beautiful pool and hot tub area. They have grills and a great outdoor patio/entertainment area. It would be perfect for a family get together. The room we had was small and the bed was very soft. However, we enjoyed our stay.

No hot water at 6:30 am...Check out at front desk 20 minutes later, was not asked " how was your stay"? Really that's what service has become....

I've never been to Tucson before & planned on a motorcycle ride out here for St. Patty's Day weekend.When I typically book a room, I consider many things.Gas stations nearby, restaurants, shopping centers, accommodations.Other hotels in various parts of Tucson I was looking at prior, had many reviews about homeless folks hanging around in their parking lots.Thank goodness my friend has family living in Tucson- and they directed me to which part of town to look at.Once I checked Google Maps, 3 Palms already caught my eye!The hotel is going thru renovations! And we did book a newly renovated room- that got the job done!Although right now, there's no lobby to enter from- just follow the arrows at the main entrance for check in... it'll lead you to a window around the way.We did request a ground floor, when I booked directly via phone call- and were super glad they were able to accommodate.There's miniature golf on site (one of the silly reasons why I booked here). Jacuzzi was closed/ but, pool open.Although we didn't have a chance to use either- next time!There are black out curtains, which come in super handy- since our room was located on the west side of the property.The separate living room area with door- worked perfect because I'm on a different sleep schedule than my friend- and didn't want to disrupt her.The 2 Queen bed area also has a mounted tv- and this is where you'll enter the room.I don't recall if AAA discounts are offered here.Whole Foods and Sprouts are next door & so is Kohl's.

Nice fitness center and staff. Clean room. Very noisy rooms. Can hear toilets flushing, people walking above you, dogs barking. Not very restful. One night it sounded like the people above me were moving furniture most of the night. Squeaky floors.

The receptionists at the front were very helpful and the place was all very clean and well kept. Check out was also very easy and fast something I really appreciate.
