Was in town and made a breakfast reservation for Saturday morning. (Def did not need one because there was plenty of seating at 930 on Saturday morning). We sat for a very long time before getting offered a drink or anything for that matter. The waitress was friendly and kind but she did not listen to what we ordered. When our orders arrived (via someone other than our waitress) we told her that our orders were wrong. The girl literally said nothing, just stared at us looking odd, then walked away. It was bizarre. Then no one came back until we were done with our wrong meals. The waitress drops the check off and i told her the cost was wrong because the meals were wrong and she attempted to argue with me. She ended up correcting my bill but I can tell you I'll not be going back. The food was actually good though

The food itself was okay- I got the open face vegan burger but it was just not worth the price. The bread wasn't great- the salad was meh. It was fine to try but I'd rather go somewhere else I think! Very cute inside though!

Love this place! It's cute indoors and outdoors and the staff is the best. They make you feel very welcome, like your family. The food is phenomenal, I haven't had anything I didn't like yet! You must come and try! I could eat here for every meal!

Bullseye win for brunch-lunch today at Tryst on Tatum in Desert Ridge. Cozy and comfortable inside as it was a bit hot mid June to enjoy their patio option (though maybe in future if they add a misting system). Fast friendly professional service and my GF Ahi Tuna salad included an ample layer of rare grilled ahi on top, and was fresh and delicious. Our second order was the fried fish tacos and they received a 5-star review too. As a Celiac, I highly value restaurants like Tryst that offer a GF option for the majority of their items.

We came to Tryst Cafe for Sunday brunch. While it's not necessarily the most unique brunch is Scottsdale, it's still a solid pick with something for everyone. I think what I appreciate most is that Tryst has options for the ultra-health conscious, while also carrying dishes for those craving heavier comfort fare. Our party ordered two omelettes and two salads. The sides that came with our omelette were pretty tiny, coming in what I would describe as a dipping sauce container (you know those plastic cups you put ketchup in) so if you're hungry I recommend ordering something extra. The salad portions were quite large, and there was plenty of protein. Our server was very friendly and attentive. She repeated our order back to us, offered to go boxes unprompted, and checked in throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is a little bit cramped, and there was only one bathroom / gender (unless I missed something). If the restaurant was busy, I imagine the restroom wait could become quite long. Otherwise the place is nice, but noisy. The music volume makes it hard to have a conversation. I'm giving the place 5-stars because the food was good, service was great, and the few things that I do mention are not true detractors. While the portions may be lighter for some dishes, the prices are affordable- so go ahead, get that extra side and enjoy!

The service was great but the food was lack luster. The beet salad was perfect and I added steak. The cut of steak was not worth the up charge but taste of the salad was the main star. My sister had the sweet potato burger, it was served on a slice of bread, like open face style which was odd for a burger. It cracked apart as she ate it. She won't waste food so I thought it was funny to watch her struggle with it. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower and I sent it back. Cauliflower with chard marks smothered in buffalo sauce, no thanks. The locals seem to like it a chatty party sat next to us so that's great but as foodies stopping by, unless you want a beet salad, this may not be the best option. Hope this helps.
