True North Tavern

Sat at the bar early afternoon on a Sunday. It was pretty quiet but picking up. Ordered a drink and some food off the happy hour menu. The glass the drink came in had obvious lipstick stains and other stains to the point I thought she grabbed from the dirty stack. When I asked for a clean glass she brought out more that looked about as bad as the one she served me in and said their dishwasher doesn't get it clean Food was subpar as well. I don't recommend going here. Too many other spots with higher quality food and drinks. If you do find yourself here, I'd recommend ordering a canned beverage - better chance of it being clean...Staff was nice enough to me and seemed to try to be attentive, but being okay with serving dirty glassware is crazy. Management needs to do better in setting their staff up for success

We stopped by for a group outing at True North! It was my first time here and was nervous when I heard it was in north park because parking is always a challenge! Luckily there is a parking structure right across the street that is a life savor! It is a very spacious bar ! We sat down and we were asked for drinks almost immediately and explained happy hour. We ordered the Slider Burgers with Fries , Nachos and Mac & Cheese and tacos . Everything was 10/10! I was soo impressed especially being from a bar! The Mac & cheese was my favorite ! The drinks were great and our server was awesome !We will definetly be returning ! And highly recommend !

I think I found my spot for Sunday NFL food. Tons of Teats, tons of drinks, and lots of food !! I got the Diablo burger and made it a double ! Also my wife got the carne asada Mac n cheese which she loved. We shared the Buffalo wings and siracha wings and I think those are a must try !!! Definitely coming back here ! Watch out for the bouncers at True North. They pick and choose who they charge a cover to and then the front desk guy will add a tip, for himself, if you pay with card. Pay with cash and check your receipts

Came here Saturday night to watch the UFC fight , Sterling vs O'Malley . It was a $10 cover to enter , which wasn't that bad . Got lucky and found setting . It did take a while for the server to come by. We ordered chicken wings , Brussels sprouts and seared mahi . All 3 dishes we're total miss, not good at all. How can you kiss up Brussels sprouts ?! You can see by the picture it was way under cooked. However, in the beginning the server was better at getting our drinks. Towards the end of the night , she was no where to be found. We had to walk all the way over to the bar to close out . They need to be careful because people could easily walk out. Overall, come for drinks not so much food.

I visited True North on a Sunday, and despite the bar being quiet with only a handful of patrons, the service was disappointingly slow. After waiting 15 minutes for our drinks, we were informed by the bartender that another bartender was making them, despite there being no one else behind the bar. The lack of communication and rude demeanor left us frustrated, and we ultimately left after 20 minutes without receiving our drinks. An unfortunate experience marred by poor service.

Love this place!! I've been coming here most Sundays to watch football and I've always had the best times. The highlight is the all day happy hour on Sundays which is impossible to pass up considering well drinks and beers are $5-$6 and food is cheap as well! They have great bar food as well, I've enjoyed the fries, tacos, and Ceasar salad. It can get really busy but the bartenders are always so helpful and as attentive as they can be considering how packed it can be. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Frankie, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend coming to watch sports or even just for a drink!

The DMV has better customer service than this place. Absolute trash. If it was one bartender having a bad night, okay. But it was everyone that worked here. We sat down at the bar which had about 10 other patrons sitting at it. The bartenders looked at us and then.....nothing. Just sat there. Awkward. And just flat out weird. I did this rodeo for ten years downtown and even on my worst days of doing doubles with brunch and cocktailing from 8am to 4am the next day would i ever act like this. I work to make money and part of that comes from the service you give. ZERO HUSTLE. SO LAME.

Tamara did an amazing job, she made us feel welcome as we walked into the building. We will definitely come back.

Officially I have had the worst espresso martini in my life. Went here early morning not busy at all. Want a good espresso martini. Sure they have it. But pouring it off of a draft. So watered down. Terrible
