Tru Burger

We decided to give it a third try since our first visit was amazing and our second visit was mediocre. The salads on our third visit were outstanding. Fresh and plentiful. I'd give them a 10 out of 10 all day as would my husband. He had the pear salad and I had the Mediterranean salad and they both were fantastic. My only recommendation is that if the bartender is going to have to wait tables assign tables close to the bar for them. We ordered our salads and waited. We were the first customers arriving at about 11:10 on a Sunday. We ordered within 2 minutes of arriving because we already knew what we wanted. Others who arrived after us started getting their burgers and fries, but we still didn't have our salads. Around 11:50 the bartender came out to take another order and we called her over to inquire about our salads that we had ordered more than a half hour ago. She said they take some time because the chicken has to be cooked. She walked into the kitchen and brought the salads out immediately. I just feel that it's difficult for anyone to manage the bar and check on customer's and their orders. Thus my recommendation to seat her customers closer to the bar. The food was so good we will stop by again and I'll do my best to remember that the service is a bit slow.

My family, friends, and I have been here multiple times. The burgers never disappoint, and their homemade potato chips are always delicious. However, the service can be unpredictable, ranging from mediocre to great. Overall, the food keeps us coming back despite the inconsistent service.

This was pretty disappointing. The chips were a little burnt and the salsa was just not very good. I got the Tru Bistro Burger, unique flavors that worked well together. The kids grilled cheese was pretty good. The quesadilla was what you'd expect. We ordered 3 burgers. All of them were undercooked. The buns were burnt on all of them. Our server was fantastic she was fast and polite. For the price, this food was just all right. The service fantastic and the atmosphere was quite nice. Likely won't be back.

Great cocktails, good restaurant vibe. I got a really good burger there, but the queso was thick and flavorless. Service is real hit or miss. I still go when I crave a burger, but there's better out there.

Will usually peel in during happy hour to get some cheap wings. Eat the fries while having a beer and bring home wings. If I stay for dinner, then definitely entree. Most burgers and sandwiches do not have sides. All entrees come with two sides and sides usually run 5 bones a piece.Get some 32 oz or pitchers for happy hour beer and this place would be packed.

This is a solid burger joint in a town with way too many burger options, but I tend to like this one the best. They offer some unique burger options, and they're all good. Recently, they added mac and cheese, which was also good. It's a smaller restaurant, so it can get busy.

Tons of potential.I really enjoyed the ambiance inside the restaurant. Quality and quantity are on par with their pricing. The presentation and temperature of our two hamburgers fell short of the appropriate health and safety code temperatures for hamburgers. Both burgers, an American and a Bistro, were served overcooked with dried out burger patties. Both burger patties were luke warm and dry to the touch when the hamburgers were served. In thirty years of working and managing restaurants I would bet our burger patties were reheated at one point before they were served to us. Upon closer inspection, both burger patties had no grill marks and the patties did not show any signs of a maillard reaction that happens when a burger patty is cooked at high heat. No grill marks, dried out meat, luke warm patties, tough and chewy burger patties. Wow, that's a tough chew that's hard to swallow. Whoever is in charge needs to go back to the drawing board on how a hamburger should be properly cooked, prepared, and presented. Then they need to properly train their cooks on temperature, preparation, and presentation called "plating". There's too much competition in the local hamburger arena to ignore feedback from one of their loyal customers. I can think of three local establishments that sell a mean and tasty hamburger for half the price. There one place near Anthem Walmart that sells a 4 meat patty hamburger for about eight dollars. Huge burger with cheese with all its fixings for about eight dollars. That's a tough sell if you know what the food costs are and how slim the margins are on hamburgers. I eagerly look forward to visiting again, and deleting this review once food preparation and presentation return to normal temperature and flavor. Until then I know that bad habits die hard, and hopefully this pace can turn themselves around before they lose more and more clientele to the nearby competition. Blockbuster video, Sears Roebuck, JC Penny's, and Toys R Us also shared a similar displeasure in offering a decent customer service experience to their loyal customers. Please tell me, where are those billion dollar companies now? What happened to them, and why?

I was hesitant to update my review but I don't think the matter was handled in a proper manner. Was super excited that they had happy hour M-F from 3pm-6 pm and all day Sunday. We ordered a bunch of shareable plates and everything we ordered was good but the wings. I didn't get to try it because after my BF took a bite he said it tasted like mold and we didn't even get blue cheese on the side. The server apologized and said she would take it out of the bill. No management or owner came out to acknowledge what had even happened. Lost my appetite and would never eat here again!

Good spot to meet a few friends for a meal. I would call it average. Food was not amazing, but not bad either. Service was good, especially given the size of the crowd. They were not overly friendly, but far from rude.

OK, but not a place I'd return to. I got the Friday fish fry. The beer batter tasted like it had NO salt in it. Plus it was really thick - too much! My companion got a buffalo chicken sandwich. Again, OK, but not special. The order seemed to take a long time, considering it was mid afternoon and there were only six other customers in the place. The coleslaw was nice and fresh-tasting.
