Cute little local spot with delicious tortas served by sweet ladies. The torta de loma was worth coming back for, even though I don't live nearby. Highly recommend giving them a try

This hole in the wall is a GEM. Delicious tortas and the best steak fries you can find! Service is great too if you frequent FRUTAS for their tortas, give this place a shot. No crazy crowds to deal with and the quality is top notch, I'm convinced enough people just don't know about them.I got the Lomo special torta ‍

Everything order here is so good they have the best juices ever and if you want healthy sandwiches or tortas, this is a place to go!! I love that they have friendly fast service with really clean dining area!!

Worth the wait.Like many other reviews have mentioned, plan on waiting a bit for your food. But you won't be disappointed and your time is rewarded with good food. Where they lack speed, they make it up with the quality of their food and drinks. This isn't a fast food place, so I was prepared to wait. I have been here twice and there has always been people ahead of me and a line that forms after me. So it appears they are popular and stay busy around lunch time. There was 3 ladies working, one at the register, and 2 cooking in the back. The kitchen is visible from the waiting area, and they were hustling and preparing everything fresh. (Which explains the wait) The dine in was closed, so it is take out only. There is a restroom available, and seats while you wait. The place was clean, and the woman at the register was helpful and friendly. We did wait about 20 minutes, but the food was very good, had great flavor, and you could just tell was made fresh. The Lomo torta was huge and the best one in Chula Vista. The salad was fresh, and very filling even for a small. They didn't skimp on the toppings and overall I was impressed. The Aguas/ juices/waters were squeezed and prepared to order. It was all fruit and veggies and the taste was delicious. There wasn't any syrups or added ingredients, just the fruits and all natural fruit juices. Great spot for a delicious meal if you don't mind the wait for good food.

I have been a VERY satisfied customer of tropical fruits for over a decade now. LET ME TELL YOU!!! These tortas are the best in the área. I used to drive from Eastlake and pass by dozens on similar places but none compare. I'm a customer forever !

This five star is specifically aimed towards the tropical fruit salad. It is exactly what you want if you know about the amazing fruit salads you get in a Baja or Mexico experience. It is abundant, it is fresh, the fruit is delicious and the toppings are generous. This is the perfect alternative to processed sugary desserts or breakfast. These types of accepted sugary breakfasts should not be, as they break down our body system in a way that lessens flexibility in our body as time goes on. Stay away from processed sugar... Now back to the tropical salad, filled with mango, papaya, pineapple, watermelon, apple and honeydew melon all were present in a very handsome portion (probably weighing close to 3 lbs.). The toppings of cottage cheese, sprinkled granola and drizzled honey make this experience good for any part of the day, any meal anywhere. And you feel great afterwards. The ladies that have helped me have always been sweet. I have yet to order one of the sandwiches, there's always someone ordering one in front of me and they look delicious. It is a humble establishment that feels like a hideaway offering yummy delights.

This place is super delicious. Food is so fresh. I love ordering the club sandwich as a lettuce wrap (keto). It is sooo delicious! I also order the pico de Gallo. It is a huge portion. I share with 2 co-workers.

I ordered over the phone and the food was ready when I got there Don't let the outside of this place fool you! There's plenty of space inside to sit down and enjoy a dank ass meal. I've been a customer since I was a teenager and lived down the street. Now I make the trip from the east county when I am craving a LOMO torta. Nothing like this combination and flavors. I like my lomo shredded, not the big slab of meat. Highly recommend it !!! My ultimate all time favorite!

This fine little establishment is symbolic of early chula vista "As soon as I walked in I was greeted with old world warmth and felt the coziness-home)Here you will get Quality health beverages made in house and healthy Mexican/American eats .Nothing over 8$ which is Amazing in today's world. This fine little establishment will be on my (must stop list) it is even worth the drive coming from about five zip codes away.For all of you that will read this, You have to try this little place that serves BIG satisfaction.
