To this day, Tresca is still one of my favorite restaurants in the North End! Every time I have dined here, I never leave disappointed. I have been coming here since I was 12 & celebrated a couple birthdays here. My favorite dishes to get from here include: linguini alle vongole, seafood fra diavolo, and spaghetti carbonara. Also, you have to try their antipasti arancini or farm raised Maine mussels OR BOTH... just amazinggg! Calamari fritta here is also chef's kiss! For non-pasta dishes, I enjoy their swordfish puttanesca & filetto (filet mignon with mushroom stuffed w/ lobster!). If you can't tell yet, I like just about everything they have on their menu. For desserts, you really cannot go wrong with any of them. I personally love tiramisu & their tiramisu hits the spot for me every time. Even when I am super stuffed at the end of the meal, I will always want dessert when at Tresca's. Parking: Parking in the North End is always atrocious haha. Either parking garage, valet, or try your luck with street parking. NOTE: They validate parking if you park at the Haymarket Garage, $3 for 3 hours ;)Definitely a must try if you're looking for a spot that serves incredible & authentic Italian food.

Going to Tresca was a mistake. The service was extremely slow, and the food was uninspired and unimpressive. We walked in and they were very busy which might explain why things were so off. We waited twenty minutes for drinks. It was just a glass of wine and a beer. The table next to us who were sat at the same time ordered their second drinks when ours were served. They brought us the wrong drinks to top things off. We ordered the carbonara and a pizza. The pasta was just ok. The pasta was overly sauced soupy as you can see in the picture. The pasta they use is quality, but it was overcooked. The pizza was very doughy and had very little sauce. After the first piece we stopped eating it. It takes a lot for me to write a review like this. I have a few hundred reviews with the vast majority being all five stars. They might have just had an off night but I will look elsewhere for my Italian in the north end.

Oof I am on the fence. On the one hand the food was delicious, on the other- service was so overbearing! They couldn't get us out of there fast enough!! Everything started out fine -- plenty of time to order drinks and apps-- but as soon as our entrees came out it was like there was a countdown clock somewhere. Multiple people tried to clear the same plates over the course of like 2.5 min. And this just kept happening over and over with entrees and desert. It actually got pretty funny (if not obnoxious). Wouldn't recommend for a Saturday night.Restrooms are not wheelchair accessible.

We were in town to see a show and decided to try a different restaurant in the north end so we picked Tresca. So glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back. Wait staff was very nice. Food was all served in a timely manner. They did have gluten-free options there. We had a nice table near the window.

There are many Italian options in Boston, and I would say that Tresca is just one of the average options. We got the calamari, which was decent and crispy, with a good spicy mayo sauce on the side. I got the lobster ravioli, which was maybe too saucy, with not enough of the lobster flavor coming through. Lastly, the truffle gnocchi was also too saucy with the saltiness overpowering the taste and texture of the pasta.

Tresca, you did not disappoint!! Chef, Rich Ansara, made himself visible by visiting tables and checking in on patrons. He found us the perfect table for 2 near a window on a beautiful summer day. The food and services here are top notch. I had the chicken piccata which was honestly, the best I have had. My husband - meat & potato man - had a filet and raved about the demi glaze (which he would have typically passed on) and the potatoes. For me, the Lemontini martini was perfection! Will def be back Rich, have Table 77 ready for us!! Wish I took photos but I couldn't wait to dig in!

When in Boston, eat in the North End...Tresca fit the bill perfectly. We had delicious calamari and a Brussels sprout dish to start. My scallop entree over risotto was out of this world! Very fresh tasting and a modern take on Italian. Others in the party had more traditional dishes but the flavors were bright and the reports were all stellar. Portions are big so we all took half home. The owner who is also the chef came out to chat which was a homey touch. The waiter was great. He had good suggestions on wine as well as food and the pace of the meal was never rushed.Nice ambience. Very warm and inviting. Lively on a Friday evening but we could still hear our conversation.

I wanted eat some great Italian food and searched that I found a small area like soho little Italy area. We made reservation for dinner and walked this restaurant from our Langham hotel. Not too far from there, walked with enjoy views. Great spot for Italian food but not an amazing to me. Small table and very limited space to each table. But our server was very accommodating. When I was there so crowded from football game day. Difficult to talk with my friends from loud. I like their meatball and day special menu volcano. But octopus was cooked too much. I ate better octopus anywhere else. If you are traveling to Boston area and I would recommend this place.

One of the best Italian restaurants located in the North End. I judge a restaurant's quality of food and service based on the bread they serve and this restaurant serves warm garlicky bread that's super delicious! We were very satisfied with our main courses and drinks as well. The atmosphere feels classy and private. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and provided us with great recommendations from the menu. Highly recommend!Food 8.5/10Service 9/10Atmosphere 9/10Value 8.5/10
