Trapper's Sushi

The flavor profiles are so good, it may possibly ruin sushi rolls for you forever. Eating somewhere else feels like you cheated on Trappers and cheated on yourself.I've eaten here 4 days in one week. Are you Gluten Free?? We've went 4 times and I loved it there first 2 times all caution and full explaining happened, 3rd time not as much, but it was take out so I leave some room for miscommunication there. 4th time was so disappointing... The rolls are amazing and fresh. I truly love it at Trappers, but more training is needed for servers. I've noticed some are very knowledgeable about gluten free, others not so much at all. Today was awful as I was served a roll with tempura and a roll with onion crunch or something?!? There was a definite crunch when I bit into it! It was delicious, but unfortunately will make me sick. Our rolls were all mixed up as well so what I clearly ordered as gluten free, being specific about not having tempura, anything crunchy and to use gf teriyaki and gf soy sauce. My rolls came on 2 different plates, plated with non gluten free rolls. Gluten free food should ALWAYS be served on a separate plate, failure of kitchen and the server who should be checking the order prior to serving. I ate one piece and quickly caught the server and let her know... I don't know her name as I was also not offered a receipt. The way it was handled was- "The kitchen messed up" as she labeled it Celiac (she said they had selective reading and laughed) It's not a joke, it truly makes me sick, for extended periods time...not funny. She also said I can keep the rolls incorrectly made... (The ones I can't eat...) I also got to wait again for my food to be made, I went to Safeway while the rest of the group ate. Returned and my food still wasn't ready so that pretty much sucked too. Disappointed...

Overall was delish! I personally don't eat fish or seafood but I love the idea of sushi and rice so I was pleased to see a lot of veggie rolls on the menu!I got the Smurf which was a tempura mushroom roll and boy was it tasty. The sauce with it was full of flavor. I also got the zucchini roll and the asparagus roll. Both were really good but the zucchini was better than the asparagus.My hubby got the trump roll and the monster. The garlic sauce for the trump had a lot of green onions (not listed on the menu) which my hubby was disappointed with but he really enjoyed the monster. He liked the eel on top the most. Looking forward to going back to have the Smurf and zucchini roll again. I would challenge them to add a buffalo chicken roll to their menu ;) that is my fav thing at squid ink and would love to see something similar on other sushi places menu. Mainly giving a 4 star because the customer service overall could be improved. Creating a memorable experience is ideal and I feel like the waitress wasn't focused on providing that kind of service. She never checked in on us after we got our food until we were almost finished. Also when leaving the 2 at the host stand just stared, no thank you or bye. (I only point this out as to some that is expected of their employees). I do believe this is a newer establishment and still might take some time for customer service expectations to be set and worked on but hopefully the manager/owner have this on their radar to have continued success.

Went right before happy hour on a Wednesday and they said it was a 25 minute wait. The ambiance was clean and cute, loved the music they were playing (gen z). We did the 3 for $33 happy hour special, good deal. We got the rock n roll, monster, and Buddha-licious roll. My friend liked the Buddha-Lucious, but the other rolls were just okay for our preference. My friend also got the passion fruit sangria and she didn't like it, watered down and lots of fruit pulp. Our favorites were our appetizers which were half off. The soft shell crab and crispy rice we would get again. We'll definitely be back to try more rolls!

Have ordered takeout from here a few times. Definitely recommend. It's super close to our house which makes it convenient and they have a lot of delicious options.

We made it justttt before happy hour was ending. Our server rushed over to us to make sure we could get our order in at the discounted price before time ran out and I really appreciated that. Service was great overall! The sushi was delicious and we really were full. The miso soup was delicious. Good vibes- clean joint. I love that if you sign up for their app you can earn points and get discounts/free stuff if you go regularly!

We were hoping for a great sushi meal. It was pretty disappointing. The sashimi didn't seem very fresh and with paying over $19, it could have been better. We were given the option for all you can eat at the bar but when we arrived it was packed and would have needed to wait. But if you love sushi, there are lots of options to choose from. It would be something to consider.We then ordered 2 rolls and 2 pieces of eel. Again, it was okay, but not the best out there. The rice tasted a little over cooked and just didn't seem like a lot of great options unless you like it spicy. Hopefully it improves a bit with all the housing going in nearby. It's overall a great looking place with views of the white tank mountains.

My wife and I along with some of her work friends came here for Friday happy hour. During happy hour they have a 3 rolls for $33, half off all drink, and half off all appetizers. Pretty good deal overall!We shared 3 rolls - they were okay. I'd like rate the rolls a 3.5/5. We also ordered sushi tacos, those were surprisingly very flavorful - 4/5. And we got a couple beers all which were pretty well priced.The waitress was very attentive to all our needs and all the food and drinks came quick and without any mistakes.The location is pretty spacious, with both large and small tables. They were able to accommodate our group of 12 very easily.Overall, I wouldn't drive out here just for the sushi, but if I was on this side of town, I'd happily pop in again.

Really good deal for all you can eat sushi. My husband is a huge sushi fan & loved the sushi here. He said it's one of the best he's had in comparison to other restaurants. I'm less of a sushi fan however I did have some rolls and they were able to accommodate my avocado allergy! The sushi chef we had was super nice & entertaining the whole time. You do have to sit at the bar for all you can eat. Personally wish there was a few more different small plate options on the all you can eat dinner menu since everyone in the party has to do the all you can eat.Very clean inside & has a fun modern interior.

Very refreshing!We ordered calamari: excellent!Seaweed salad: excellentCucumber salad: excellentThen another cocktail:)For the mains:Mt Rainer Roll: saucy, a bit fishy but enjoyable.Mountain Roll: ordered extra eel on top. It was okay.Barracuda Roll: excellent!Seared ahi Nigiri: spicy and excellent!Enjoyable evening. A bit too brightly lit and reminded us of a fast food sushi parlor.Waitstaff was excellent! We will be back as it is so close to where we live.
