Super tiny amount of filling in these rolls. Some didn't even have any shrimp. $25 for the whole order and barely any filling.
Dry, day old cucumber salad. Would you pay for old dry cucumber salad?

The wife and I have been here several times and we always elect to sit in the bar area to reduce wait time. Fortunately their booths are super comfortable and so are the bar tops. They're super busy from 5-9p but the servers and bartenders do their darnedest to keep up! Service is always friendly and helpful, but the kitchen and the sushi bar usually tend to get backed up so you may be waiting quite while for food. Everything we ordered is amazing... I especially like the 'Release the Kraken' and their sashimi appetizer. You can't go wrong!

Very first timer to this Sushi restaurant. Got seated promptly at 11:45 AM on Wednesday, 12/20/23. Sat at a booth and we were pleasantly greeted by the server. As we were looking at the menus, she politely asked us what we wanted for our drinks. After ordering the drinks, we checked out the menu and noticed a lot of rhe sushi rolls had cream cheese! Also, the priced seemed a bit pricey compared to other Sushi locales around the area.We ordered Calamari and for the sushi rolls - Amazing, California Rolls, Sushi Town and 'Tis the Salmon. Also got the Steak Teriyaki...After about 15-20 minutes or so, we got all of our food orders. We were kind of disappointed with the portion sizes of the food and sushi did not taste that fresh! Calamari was overcooked, chewy and rubbery. The seaweed, artificial crab and rice seemed old and a little bit chewy for the sushi rolls. Fresh seaweed does not taste like that, if you know what I mean. The California Rolls were kind of small and not as tasty. The other rolls were missing something as well.Overall, spending $133+ for mediocre sushi was kind of unsatisfying. The Steak Teriyaki seemed like an appetizer portion, so charging $25+ for that seemed a bit too much! This review is for the dine-in experience from the regular menu.No comment for the All-You-Can-Eat Sushi since we didn't try that...Decided to visit this restaurant based on our friend's recommendation. But probably won't be back again since there are better options in Auburn and Federal Way, for instance.

Pretty decent deals at trappers! Lunch & dinner all you can eat daily must sit at sushi bar. You can also request substitutions.

For take out sushi, I was really impressed. The roll wasn't skimpy and had good quality ingredients. For pickup, service was fine. We did have to wait about 45 minutes for our order to be ready. Coming in and out was easy, so that made for chill vibes.

Went the day before Mother's Day and it was pretty easy to get a table. Nick was our server and took great care of us! The soft shell crab was amazing. Can't wait to come back. The restaurant was clean and not too loud! Brock was great as well!

I used to come to this trappers frequently, sometime 5-7 times a month, spending an average of a $100 or more each visit, but I stopped coming after receiving rolls that had almost no tuna on them. I just want to thank Brock, Destiny, and Kenzy, for restoring my faith in the trappers brand. They went out of their way to ensure I got exactly what I wanted and they took the time to listen to what I had to say. They are the epitome of what great customer service is supposed to look like!!!!

The rolls are held overnight in the cooling unit, making the rice hard and unpleasant. Sometimes for days at a time. The servers and hosts might as well have no sense of how to deal with stress as everyone seems to have a snarky attitude about them. Took forever to get a table, and the host smelled very bad. He was a bald man with glasses. We will not be coming back just because of him. The ambiance was thrown off for me personally because I had noticed a strong bleach smell on the table we were at in the bar. We will never come back. Since this place changed management and became a chain they lost all substance from within the business. Do yourself a favor and go to the local small sushi restaurants in your area. They typically will give you the best service. Trappers is just a no-go. (two thumbs-down)

Been going here for years, sadly portions have gone down and prices have really increased. We go for the all you can eat sushi, usually lunch because the dinner is now close to $40pp. Have a hard enough time paying $25 on Thursdays for the discounted lunch. Yes the sushi is good but so many are so similar. Glad you can order light rice on your rolls because the filling was looking really pitiful in comparison to the rice portion. It would be nice to have an option to order an appetizer and/or sashimi on the AYCE for just a couple dollars more. We did really did like the new location space and bar area. Although we ordered just two Well Drinks ( house liquor) and was a bit shocked we were charged like $7-8 each and were small drinks and weak!

I Absolutely LOVE Trappers, until they decided to lie to me. First, before Trappers I was NOT A SUSHI PERSON. For years I avoided sushi and in fact lost friendships because I would not bend when it came to sushi. IDK what happened but I went to Trappers with a friend and of course I I ordered California rolls but my friend encouraged me to try his plate of sushi. Okay, it was bearable. So I went back to Trappers again with my friend and once again he encouraged me to try some of his sushi rolls. Next thing I know, I'm taking him to Trappers for his birthday and I'm enjoying and eating sushi rolls that offer parts of raw fish. And from that day I'm sold and become a regular return customer of Trappers. One of the sushi rolls I enjoyed the most was Trappers Samantha long roll. First, I want to say, the customer service at Trappers has ALWAYS been excellent. Especially this evening. The young man was attentive to our needs. He even asked another server to assist while he was swamped. I was really impressed with this.During the evening of our Trappers excursion we ordered several items before ordering our sushi rolls. When we received our order, which included the Samantha, it made me sad to see that the Samantha roll did not compare to our past wonderful experience nor did it even compare to the picture on the menu. I brought it to the attention of the wait staff, however they basically gaslighted us in saying "that's the way it is". I tried to explain that wasn't the way it should look. Basically, it looked like someone took rice threw it on the plate, try to form it in the shape of a circle and threw on the toppings. There was no true sushi rice formation. In the menu photo it shows masigo on the roll, but in the description it doesn't state the ingredient. Thankfully our server brought us a small serving of masigo to add to the roll. Then it got me to start analyzing my sushi roll, and other customers sushi rolls and I realized all the rolls weren't actually meeting the true sushi roll form of a long or short rolls. So my feeling is they must have been training new sushi chefs or cooks because the rolls weren't looking like the beautiful pictures in their menus. Which they have in the past. So the evening at Trappers was a bit of a disappointment. I'll probably go back once more to see if there was any improvement. However, I found another sushi restaurant with great reviews, I might go check it out first to start comparing.
