Worst Experience I've ever had at a Sushi restaurant.The service was terrible and slow. There were 2 waitresses on duty when I went who were more concerned about their gossip than providing any service to any of their customers. The Sushi Chef took 20-30min to prepare each roll and he got our order wrong 3 different times and offered us someone else roll to try and correct their mistake. Everyone at the all you can eat bar were visibly frustrated as we weren't the only ones having a terrible experience. This experience was made even worse when the waitresses were able to order and receive sushi rolls before any of the customers could. These 2 waitresses then proceeded to eat their sushi rolls on duty while they gossiped at the end of the bar no less than 3 feet from the All You Can Eat Bar. The Chefs were more concerned with trying to flirt with the waitresses than make food and could be heard complaining about customers. As I asked for the check, I was asked how my experience was, and I responded by telling my server it was terrible. My server laughed and said "yeah we get that ALOT" I would give ZERO stars if possible

i'm surprised how many stars this place has. most of their food either has cream cheese or fried tempura. the dishes that didn't have either of these things is loaded with sauce. the first order i had was an assortment of nigiri and i was impressed by the thick slices of fish and i thought to myself, oh this is gonna be good but as i continued to order nigiri, the slices of fish got thinner and thinner! the service was very slow for there only being 4 other tables at the restaurant. maybe they're slow on purpose, i'm not sure but if you're looking for a sushi place that takes the japanese out of it, here you go. this place is gentrified, they don't know what they're doing over there. they didn't even know what ikura is. the menu has the teeniest tiniest selection of nigiri.

The food was amazing ! We've been here multiple times, Avondale location & surprise. Jessie was probably one of the best sushi chef we've had at trappers ! His rolls were coming out amazing and looked very presentable & well put together! The waitress and workers were all awesome super nice attitudes! Big fan of trappers sushi if you like real fish. I really do hope that the sushi chefs get some of the tips from servers! I would really like to know ! Also the appetizers like the gyoza are delicious

This place in very unprofessional. I was trying to make an online order and their website said "currently not accepting online orders", so I called. A young woman answered the phone and I inquired about the message on their website and she said yes, it's down. So I asked, howDo you prefer I order? She significantly raised her voice and said "YES, I JUST TOLD YOU ITS DOWN AND NEED TO CALL IN YOUR ORDER, I JUST TOLD YOU THAT.". didn't know if I had to call it in maybe there was a different site for this, oe if i should just call?). I asked to speak to her boss and the boss was just as lovely with the nasty attitude. I cannot remember their names but I will not be returning to this location.

I've never been here in a Saturday, man were they busy. The service to start off was a little slow but improved greatly after they brought my appetizer. We ordered the trapper bites they are always my go to! I then ordered from there two for $18 menu which has about five or six different rolls you can choose from for $18. I have to say that I enjoy their actual rolls more so than the 2 for $18 as they are definitely smaller in size than ordering a whole roll from the regular menu. I ordered one Buddha and one Mariner. Trappers offers really good food. I don't think I've had a bad meal there.My favorite role of all time here is the Brooklyn give it a try! If you're looking for a good appetizer, the trapper bites are great.

one of the BEST all you can eat sushi!!! Worth your money and great quality sushi rolls!! All you can eat is bar only. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and modern. The all you can eat price is $30 a person which is great value as sushi can be costly anywhere and I mean, all you can eat!!The rolls here are soooooo good, I keep thinking about this place. Every roll is unique and bursting in different flavors in its own unique way. I love the different textures. The crystal shrimp in the rolls are so good and adds such a great crunch. My favorite roll is the barricade roll. My boyfriend described it tasting like a hot Cheeto lol! Every single roll was great and honestly no complaints.This is definitely a top favorite sushi spot and definitely will be coming back.Service was also very welcoming friendly quick and attentive. Can't wait to come back to try all the other rolls!

It's been a year since I've been back to Trappers. I usually have great experience dining here. However, my visit today was not very good and I was not satisfied with the chef and their service. From what I saw, they had 2 chefs. One chef only made sushi and put it away for later usage. He did not once make any rolls for the customer. The other chef was the only one who made sushi rolls for customers and it was extremely slow. I only ordered 2 rolls ans several nigiri and it took almost 2 hours, no joke. The food was very good and I enjoyed it, but the chef service was terrible. Some new changes in this restaurant since my visit last year is that lunch is now $20 and dinner is $30, down from $36. They also add in eel (unagi) nigiri, which was awesome. I hope they add salmon roe nigiri some day and I also hope the service is faster the next time I visit.

My son and I were eager to try the all-you-can-eat sushi dinner at Trapper's Sushi. Before leaving home, I made a reservation just in case the sushi bar was full, since it's the only place offering the all-you-can-eat option. We arrived around 5pm, and because it wasn't busy, we managed to grab seats at the sushi bar. We immediately ordered appetizers (edamame, Trapper Bites, and Gyoza) that are included in the all-you-can-eat option. In my opinion, the best option out of the three was the deep-fried crab known as the Trapper Bites. For our entrees we ordered a Dragon Roll, Covington Roll and a Volcano Roll to share! (If you are sitting at the sushi bar and both ordering the all-you-can -eat option you can share) The Covington was our favorite roll however it is kinda heavy for sushi. The sushi chefs and our server, Amber, were awesome and very attentivei and fast! Despite finishing everything in just 40 minutes, the atmosphere remained incredibly relaxed and laid-back. We were very pleased and will definitely be back!!

We come to this place often for their all you can eat sushi! You have to sit at the bar in order to enjoy the AYCE sushi (there's about 10 seats). The AYCE menu also includes their appetizers which I highly recommend the trapper bites and gyoza. The sushi chefs are always kind and will make any modifications you would like. This last time we went, I did feel our rolls had too much rice and not as much filling. Either way, we will continue to go back! Note - if you don't at least order and finish 2 rolls then the AYCE price may not be worth it for you. Come hungry!
