Washington grocery stores are different. Stores like Town and Country have a wide selection of traditional, farm (See the produce section), and ethnic products.T&C is one of my go-to's, and the one in Silverlake is bigger and has more options. However, this location has a solid representation of Asian groceries that outdistance the national chains. The produce is fresh and has some great additions like fresh Lions mane mushrooms, figs (in season), dandelion greens, and a host of fruits. The fruit and veggie section is half the size of a full-chain grocery store, so you know you have variety.Take advantage of the bulk section, where you can find a variety of snacks as well as staples like beans. The store is always spotless, roomy, and airy. You will find little laundry detergent or household paper goods, but check out the eco-friendly section. There is a sizeable section for lotions, soaps, and herbal remedies. Prices are above the chain grocery store average, and few coupons or sales. You are buying quality and variety. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. It's worth a trip to put on your regular shopping list.

Town & Country Market is a local family-owned market that has been in the Shoreline community since the '90s. They offer a nice selection of fresh produce, ready-to-eat meals, specialty items, and wine/beer/spirits.We came here to pick up a few items, and it didn't disappoint - all the veggies and fruits were fresh, there was a great meat counter, and there was a showcasing of local items, such as pies, desserts, and jarred/canned goods.I liked that they had beef salami and even a couple of aisles featuring Asian goodies. There was some seating available outside as well for those who'd like to enjoy the meal(s) they've picked up.Plenty of parking available in the large lot.+fresh produce and specialty items+large lot for parking available

I've been going to Town and Country Market in Shoreline for many years. They have great selection of Asian foodstuffs, including oils, sauces, noodles, tofu, etc. for making all manner of Asian or Asian-themed meals. I make stir fries about once a week year round, and Town and Country Market is my go to for all of these things, especially soft tofu, which is hard to find elsewhere (for reasons I don't understand). I also like some of their Asian drinks, such as Ito En tea.Two things that caused me to give them a reduction over a 5-star review:1. They're expensive for regular foodstuffs, as compared to Trader Joe's, Fred Meyer or other markets in the area. 2. They have a hot meal bar which I found to be kind of meh. Given how strong the food selection is in the store, with a wide variety of ethnic options, I was hopeful for a strong variety of foods in their hot bar too. But it just wasn't there. When I was there for lunch, they had chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, loose white rice (not sticky, e.g., Asian-style), a fish dish made with cod and tropical fruit (nice thinking, but kind of bland), and a couple of other dishes. Really nothing that would bring me back.I continue to come back to the market because their selection of Asian foodstuffs is unparalleled (outside Uwajimaya). It's where I go if I want to make authentic and tasty meals at home. But I'll skip their hot meal bar in the future.

Apparently no longer associated with Central Market in Poulsbo, but still having similar items -- this is one of the better grocery stores in the Seattle area. We love their produce, their fresh seafood (including some live seafood), their deli department (a great place to have lunch), and their reasonable prices. They make their own tortillas.Strengths: Food, wine, deli, seafood, meat, hot bar/salad barNot as good: non-food groceries (things like laundry detergent) ... better to get these things elsewhere (more selection).

Our first time to this store was inspired by a mailer offering a free pint of Snoqualmie ice cream. The store is large, new and clean. Lighting somewhat dim, a more pleasant experience than the typical fluorescent lighting in many older stores. Aisles are well labeled and items seemed easy to find. Staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure our experience was pleasant, seedless and efficient.

I come to Town and Country for the alcohol selection, freshest seafood in north Seattle, fresh fruit selection, charcuterie ingredients, and hard to find ethnic cooking ingredients. For those things it's amazing!I wouldn't recommend doing your daily shopping here as they are much more expensive than other options for day to day pantry items.

Awesome deli and salad bar!! Stopped in for a quick lunch with a friend recently and made a big, delicious salad--yum! I loved the variety of options that were available: multiple varieties of greens, cooked beets, roasted red peppers, jicama, blueberries, and more (along with all the standard options you see at most salad bars). Everything was very fresh and tasty!

Best meat, seafood, produce, and Asian food section in North Seattle. Occasionally, they're under stocked on major brand food and non food items. Once or twice there was no whipping cream, or none of my preferred dishwasher soap, etc.

Pretty fortunate to have this type of grocery store in our neighborhood. The amount of options available is certainly more than enough for my family. Just wanted to leave a good review to say that the staff here is typically helpful, it doesn't seem too crowded, and I really enjoy that. They keep out recipes for people to look at while they're shopping. Free samples are always nice, and the tortilla area with fresh tortillas. Baked daily is a favorite. I don't know what happened between the name of it going from central market, to town and country, but it is still seemingly organized the same way.

The sixty dollar challenge vs. 150.00 at a restaurant. Come here and get the crab cakes. About 28.00 dollars for two . Expensive but on par or above restaurant quality. Next, a nice white wine for your dinner, about 20.00 at max. The rest of 60.00 can be spent on fresh vegetables, salad and a wide array of desserts ready made. Nice variety at salad bar. You can create an incredible meal at home, without the restaurant price. Fresh lobster, mussels and clams in live tank, is offered. Additionally a nice variety of Quality cuts of meat like steak, lamb and pork. They always offer stuffed chicken, one of my favorites. For Mexican food, you can get homemade guacamole, salsa and marinated meat. I especially appreciate the Fresh hot tortillas. Moving on, I like soup and they have a wide range of flavors. I especially like the mushroom one. If you need a big salad aka Elaine on Seinfeld, easy to Create a big salad at the salad bar, with all the add ons it can be an entree salad. A great variety of individual desserts, can buy a variety for a dinner party. Great fresh produce. Love the wide Asian selection of foods. Not a fan of their sushi, sorry to say it is subpar to what they used to offer. Fresh produce, quality meats, great bakery offerings, bulk goods and a great wine selection makes me a fan of this place.
