Tortas Locas

Nice restaurant ordered food of Rice and beans and tacos de asada. Food came out fast and was pretty tasty. The rice was fluffy and tasted fresh. A nice little hole in the wall with a pretty good size menu. I would eat here again .

I was visiting from Houston decided to check was around me and this place popped up. Went based on reviews and honestly the food did not disappoint!

Super delicious meal here! Friendly staff, very clean building, and so many awesome sounding munchies to choose from. The salsa was better than most places, tasting very fresh with a little smokey undertone. The prices are very fair and I'll definitely be back! Great job Tortas Locas!!

So, after reading the Surly Gourmand's review of Tortas Locas, I had to check this joint out....http://surlygourmand.blogspot.com/2009/09/tortas-locas.htmlI went full-bore and ordered the Cubana torta. As expected, it was a monster and should definitely be shared (I only got through 3/4 of it before throwing in the towel. It contains breaded beef, ham, chorizo, a hot dog, some other kind of pork, queso blanco, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions, avacado & mayo for $9.50. It was pretty epic. I added a picture of the Cubanan torta to the Yelp profile, check it out. I will most likely go for a smaller torta next time. ;)They must have a new menu board up because it was both in English & Spanish.

We had high hopes for these Tortas but ended up disappointed with the Cubana Tortas we ordered. The portion size was generous but overall the sandwich was bland and I thought mine tasted a little stale. If it wasn't for the sauces on the table, the sandwiches had no heat or flavor to them. I saw chorizo in my torta but definitely didn't taste. With bland food and $30 for 2 Tortas, we won't be coming back.

Pretty awful all around. First, right when you walk in the door you see an out of order soda machines and couple empty racks randomly around.At the order counter, I asked what was on the Mexican fries. I was met with a blank stare and then she pointed at the menu at the Mexican fries. Ordering was worse. Each menu item has numbers so now that I knew she didn't speak English, I ordered by number. Again, I was met with a blank stare and more menu pointing. She pulled the cook from the back and we got our order figured out.We ordered the #5 toluquena torta and the #17 pork skin quesadilla. The meat on the #5 was very tough to bite through and the whole thing was very flavorless. My son ate about two bites of quesadilla and we threw the rest away. It was not good at all.I would have complained but being met with a blank stare wasn't something I wanted to put myself through again.Just gross, low-quality food.

This place hits the spot when youre craving for some good tacos. However, I feel like there is something lacking. The flavor hits when you bite in to your first bite but they feel plain the more you eat. Even with the added sauces they provide, it did not quite fill that satisfaction I was looking for. If you want to visit and try for yourself, keep in mind that the wait can be up to 30 minutes long. That also does not take into account of how many people ordered before you.

Wonderful authentic Mexican Tortas with other items too. Best Mexican food in town by far, plenty of meat and vegetables. Horchata is sweet, churros are warm, people are great, not much more to ask for!

came to get some tacos can say a there good if your really hungry but not so much flavor on top of that the horchata is super water down :/ 3/10 would not recommend to a friend

Tonight was my first eating experience at Tortas Locas.I have loved tortas ever since I had my first one as street food in Toluca Mexico.I was pleasantly surprised with a torta Cubana I ordered tonight, which contained a generous portion of ham and Milanesa. And the torta was HUGE; it was about 14 inches long, and about 4 inches wide. I ate one half on site, and the other half is sitting in my fridge.
