Tori Sake & Grill

Second time here and just as fantastic as I remember. I dare put it on the top of sushi restaurants in the Seattle area! Don't expect fancy surroundings, but you can expect high quality fish and creative menu offerings--the menu is not sparse, but not overwhelming (I need to make a point of ordering a different sushi roll for each visit). They have a good variety of Sakes and Japanese beers. And they have real wasabi! The lone waitress was (and is) very friendly and thorough... seemingly happy to make you happy and appreciative of any compliments. It isn't the cheapest and you can easily run up quite a bill, but if you can moderate, you'll find that the quality of the food is worth the price.

I am a food delivery driver and this restaurant in particular is by and far the rudest restaurant that I have delivered for. Prior to yesterday I only had superficial concern about this restaurant, but as f today I'm writing to send WARNING to all delivery drivers and customers of Tori Sake!Yesterday around 4:30 in the afternoon I arrived at Tori Saki for a food delivery pickup. As I was waiting outside (per their command for all delivery drivers), and I had a small baked good that was given to me from the previous restaurant I had picked up for. I didn't really feel like eating the tiny snack, so i looked around the property for a garage can and couldn't see one. I decided it was ok, because it was just a tiny piece of basically sweet-bread, to throw it towards the atorm drain next to the sidewalk. I didn't mean it in any sort of disrespect to the business or my community. It was a piece of bread!Next thing I know, the cook (a chubby 5'9" asian man about 35 years old) was at my car window screaming at me in front of everyone! He threatened me numerous times and called me several names including, "fagg*t" and "b!tch". I tried to reason with him and apologize but he just kept threatening me to "get out and fight". I'm a skilled fighter, I'll just put it that way, but i chose to protect my job and decided to just leave before anything really bad happened.Im sincerely concerned for all delivery drivers and even customer safety at this restaurant and I encourage a boycot by all delivery drivers. If they treat one of us like that, they likely treat all of us like that.God bless all, drive safe out there fellow delivery people, and be careful if you choose to go to this business for any reason. Last time I was in Seattle , the best sushi on yelp brought me to Burien where I had Tomo...see my review , it was amazingI had to try Tori right down the street , equally as good!! They did not have a sushi bar which I enjoy coming alone, so I sat in a table .All the rolls and bluefin nigiri were great. Sake nice and hot, service was great she was so nice. Overall a great sushi meal and well priced.They get their bluefin from Spain and it was bomb. No compliants!!

OMG !!!! Their rolls are just sooooo delicious. We also got very cute and refreshing dessert Ambiance, service and music are really relaxing. We enjoyed !!!! We finally found our fav sushi place at Burien, and can't wait to be back again to try all of their dishes ‍

This place is huge inside! The employees were so kind when I was picking up my take out. The fish was super fresh. Their hand rolls were a bit pricey for one ($10). Not sure if it was worth it price, but everything about the flavor was high quality. The vegetables added a nice crunch to the hand roll without overpowering the taste of the salmon and fatty tuna (Forgot what the second hand roll was but pretty sure it was this lol). The sashimi pieces were huge! I would avoid the chicken teriyaki. My boyfriend was not a fan. Not enough sauce and chicken was dry.

I have been to this restaurant twice, and have left happy and full both times! The presentation of the dishes are so colorful and gorgeous. The dish is so fresh and delicious. The agedashi tofu is fried perfectly and goes well with the mildly sweet sauce. I have never tried purple rice in sushi before, but it's delightful and pretty and yummy!The service was great and the waitress checked on us often to make sure everything was to our liking.I have 0 complaints, and will definitely be returning!

The service was great! Was instantly greeted and taken to our reserved table. The waitress is extremely attentive and made sure we had enough ginger, tea, miso and water. The ambience is also very pleasant and wasn't too busy coming in on a Sunday evening.The ceviche oro salmon was our starter. The quality of fish was really good! The sauce was even better. I would definitely recommend this dish to anyone interested in a citrusy sweet and savory combination. For our platter, we ordered the Tori special chef's choice. The selection was very good! Quality of fish is fresh and the waitress gives you a mini presentation of each fish and the origin. Every bite was super delicious and I recommend anyone who loves sushi to check this place out. My boyfriend and I love finding new sushi spots every month, we definitely see ourselves coming back again!

Service - 5/5 very attentive and very friendlyAtmosphere - 4/5 relaxed and chill atmosphere. Nothing special. It is not too small but not big either.Food - my fiancee ordered the chirashi and I ordered the 70 dollars omakase. Good decent slices of fish and my omakase presentation in the 3x3 box was very beautifully presented and larger than I expected! Good quality fish but I did not care for the purple rice that was paired with the chirashi and with my omakase. I prefer the traditional Japanese white rice.Each fish slices was so fresh. Highly recommend!

I really needed a "sushi fix" being recently arrived from Arizona for the summer! We found this little hole in the wall In Burien that was lovely, bright with outstanding food! My roommate doesn't do sushi but he raved about his tempura combination ! Our Go-To Japanese Restaurant
