This might be my new favorite AYCE hotpot/sushi place!!I believe Top Pot just opened so the new renovations made the restaurant clean and welcoming. If you didn't already know, this used to be called Ichiban. Also a AYCE hotpot/sushi restaurant. Over time, it fell off that is probably why there is a new owner.Came on a Monday afternoon around 1pm with my family. Pulled up to the parking lot, there was only one party that was dining in. I was happy because I came with my 10 month old. I was also happy because that means fast service. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful. He was great. Food came out promptly. Food : only complaint is that the broth is kind of expensive. It ranges from $7-$10 I think. We got two broths for $15. That's on top of $42pp (lunch time). We got mushroom and Tom yum. It was decent. I've had worse so it's definitely a plus that the broth is good. But food overall, it was definitely good!! Fresh ingredients, a wide selection of common hotpot options. Meat selection was delicious. The short ribs were so good. Each order comes with 6 pieces. You have an option to put how much you want. Part of the premium option, you get sushi and skewers as an option. The lamb ( spicy and garlic butter options) were so good! Lamb skewers go for $6-$10 at food festivals. Just think about it, it's part of the AYCE here. One more thing, they have TRUFFLE maki. Yes, TRUFFLE. It was so good, I ordered two rolls (like 16 pieces).Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a try. If you go Wednesday- Saturday I believe, sign up to be a member (free), they offer $5 lobsters! I used to go to Tai You a lot. Like 3-4 times a month. I don't think ima be going back anytime soon.......Thank you Top Pot! Drools... writing this review makes me want to go back lol

I didn't realize before ordering that this is located in the old Ichiban space. I thought it might he just a rename but if it was, what a difference! The inside was clean, fresh with an changed menu that was broken into Chinese or Japanese selections and standing lunch specials. The food was good, in particular a Salmon Poke Bowl and a sushi lunch both from the lunch menu. Will definitely reorder.Takeout was quick and checkout was efficient, always appreciated. If you were tired of the old restaurant or unsure about the food freshness, try Top Pot. I can't wait for the weather to change and try a hot pot because they sound delicious!

Food: 4/5Service: 5/5Went on a Tuesday at 8pm and did hotpot + sushi premium buffet. We're so glad we tried it and were pleasantly surprised by our experience and want to bring our family next time. They have a huge menu for everyone from hotpot, sushi, appetizers, skewers, and Chinese food. The hotpot and sushi were solid for the price (~$35 signature/ $45 premium). The menu was very extensive and we were happy with all the options. My husband loved the Tom yum broth because it was very flavorful compared to other buffets (spicy and sour). I wished they had like a coconut chicken or pork bone broth, but I got herbal instead. The meat and veggies were all fresh. They come in smaller portions and you can order more as you go, which is great to control food waste. They had a variety of condiments from the sauce stations that made a good sauce. Sometimes other places the sauce is too salty. This one was a perfect balance. The sushi was fresher than I thought it would be and we enjoyed it. I loved the appetizers, solid Chinese takeout style wings and crab rangoons. We also got lychee and pina colada slushies that were great. Pros:-Clean environment and spacious seating (has tables w/ double broilers)-Extensive menu (esp. for buffet) that has different tiers -Great and fast service. Our server was so kind and welcoming. Read some reviews about bad customer service, but ours was so sweet and attentive. -Lots of drink options (esp. non-alcoholic)-Nice & clean sauce station with fresh ingredients-Real plates and silverware (not plastic)-Parking lot-did not smell like hotpot during the meal and when we leftAs I was leaving, I wanted a plushie from the claw machine. I sent my husband in to ask the owner if I could buy it outright instead of playing the machine. The owner ended up opening the machine and refusing our money and gave it to me for free. He definitely made my night. 5 because I hope they do well and it's a great value for the money. Definitely give this place a try and come here hungry.

My wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday night. It's the old ichiban and we decided to give a try. I'm so glad we did! I wasn't over revamped but it was bright and clean. Food was a mix of Japanese, hotpot, and traditional and american Chinese food. We got a poo poo player for 1 and a salmon poke bowl. the food tasted awesome and the bartender was friendly. Also noted that the owner was on site and very friendly and attentive. Always a good sign. We will be back very soon!

Top pot is where Ichiban used to be! Unsure if it's same or different management. My friend and I came for lunch on Wednesday right when they were opening. We decided to come for lunch as they were having their free soup base lunch special deal until end of the month. The menu is extensive, ranging from different cuts of meat, sushi, and even appetizers. They also have a sauce bar that had the basic sauces. We opted for the premium option and it was amazing. The crab rangoons were thick, the sushi was fresh, and everything was presented beautifully. We had a great time and everything was delicious. We got the tomyum and mala, the mala was eh not that spicy but the tom yum was super flavorful. The reason we went for lunch is because I will say that it is on the more expensive end. It is about 42-46 I believe for premium for lunch or dinner, and that doesn't include the additional price for the broths. Broths is an added price and it is quite expensive, ranging from 4$ for the basic, then 7-16 dollars for half a pot. Definitely a treat to come since I have not really paid that much for soup base. Service was great our waitress was super nice and made sure that we got what we needed. All in all it was a great lunch and food is great, however it is expensive if you go for the all you can eat hotpot sushi.

The interior decor is the best feature of this place! It is beautifully decorated and they have a gorgeous pink flower wall near the bathroom for photo ops. I tried one of the three claw machines that were $2 a try and I lost :((I am a claw machine addict)We got the regular hot pot and sushi buffet and there were a decent amount of options. I got the Tom Yum and Miso soup base which were super flavorful. Tom Yum is like a sweet and sour tomato based broth and Miso is a nice umami rich flavor. I recommend getting the sirloin, fatty beef, lamb, shrimp, nappa cabbage, mushrooms, and taro for hot pot. These items are a staple and must get at every hot pot. The sirloin here is super rich and holds the broth very well. It is also cut into a decent size. Shrimp and other seafoods we got were fresh and big in size as well. For sushi, we got salmon avocado, spicy tuna, eel unagi, negihama, shrimp tempura, and salmon rolls. The sushi was not very good. The rolls were so small so bite size. The rice was dry. There was barely any fish in the rolls, you can barely taste it. Special spotlight on their Fried Mantu! It is so warm and fluffy. It is similar to a warm, light, and fluffy donut and the condensed milk on it was chef's kiss. This place was super empty when we went and the server and busser were very quick to collect our finished plates and attend to us. I think this place is nice for family and friends and they have lots of space for large gatherings. Their hot pot is great but their sushi quality is lacking.

It's an all you can eat spot (AYCE) for hot pot and sushi and some hot appetizers. They have regular/premium menus $30/$42 for lunch Mon-Thurs $34/$46 for dinner Mon-Thurs$36/$48 for Fri-Sun This includes free sauce station but excludes soup base. Looks like they have a promo until 1/31 for free soup base! Soup base ranges from $4-$48 you pick 1, 2 or 3 soup bases, from house to spicy to premium fish maw soup. Fatty beef was yummy, seafood mushroom, daikon, taro, fresh vegetables like napa, watercress. Fish and fish tofu were great. Sushi was fresh, includes some maki rolls in the regular but sashimi options for premium. Large parking lot. Quiet spot. We were the only customers there but Service was a little slow and we had to get up a few times to get their attention.

Food: great AYCE options. Both hot pot+sushi. The tomyum broth was amazing. Broth is additional charge depending on your choice. Noticed they don't have any eggs on the menu. Also been here twice and they did not have the special house beef or garlic chicken on the premium menu even though I paid for the premium option. Good sauce bar but not many dessert options as part of the AYCE. Service: really amazing serviceAmbiance: spacious and clean. Has a bar areaParking: large free lotAttire: casual Overall, solid AYCE spot. They also give first responder 10% discount so bring your badge if you qualify.

Absolute great ayce hot pot and sushi place! Service is speedy and friendly with a nice and clean atmosphere. There were a lot of options for sushi as well as meats and vegetables...and bubble tea/slush! Definitely deserve more recognition. If it was closer to me, I would go more often.

My partner and I got AYCE hot pot dinner -TASTE: 5/5 - everything was solid. Enjoyed our pick 2 broth: herbal and sichuan mala; the latter had the perfect level of spicy. Our favorite meat was fatty beef, and favorite meatball was beef balls. Enjoyed the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and eel avocado maki tooTEXTURE: 4/5 - the vegetables were crisp. Highlights included the watercress, daikon, king oyster mushroom, wood fungus, and fried tofuPRICE: 5/5 - great value honestly. Our Friday dinner was $36pp, and didn't think we needed the Premium options vs. Regular. Would come back to bring family and friends SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - it's AYCE, so we got a couple rounds of food. Left absolutely stuffed SERVICE: 4/5 - we walked in at 4:45pm for an early dinner, and the space was virtually empty. Our waiter was nice and checked on us often. By the time we left, many tables and the bar were filledATMOSPHERE: 5/5 - unassuming building w more space inside than I thought, plus fun touches like claw machines in the lobby, Marvel figures throughout, and a hot pot dipping station to make your own sauces. Table sizes for hot pot can vary: 1 hot pot for a table of 4-6 people, and 2 hot pots for a table of 8PARKING: 5/5 - ample parking in Top Pot's dedicated lot
