We had a work dinner for 8 people on a Wednesday evening. Service was excellent and so was the fool. My only complaint was that the waiter didn't mention the scallops dish I selected was spicy. Perhaps I should have keyed in on that from the menu but always nice when waiter confirms. Terrific views and atmosphere.

When you dine at Top of the Market, be prepared for a symphony of flavors expertly crafted by chef Robin James. Our crab cake starter was by far the tastiest crab cake ever (sorry, Maryland). It was flavorful, moist, and bursting with freshness and tanginess, devoid of the heavy breadcrumb filler that plagues lesser versions. One bite was simply not enough--I found myself yearning for seconds! For the main course, I chose the scallop entree, and it was also exquisite. Each scallop was a testament to freshness and skillful preparation. Accompanied by fried mushrooms that defy description--reminiscent of shoestring potatoes but with an earthy twist--every component of the dish was executed flawlessly. The sheer size of the scallops left me unable to finish all four--a testament to their generous proportions. The Brussels sprouts were a revelation in themselves, showcasing Chef James' mastery of flavors and textures. Against a backdrop of crisp white linens and an extensive wine selection, the dining experience exuded an air of sophistication and elegance. Our server, Jonas, guided us through the menu with expert knowledge and attentiveness, offering great recommendations that enhanced our meal. And let's not forget the breathtaking views--the sight of sailboats gliding across the water lent an enchanting ambiance to an already unforgettable meal. When making your reservation, be sure it's for Top of the Market, and not the more casual Fish Market downstairs. Despite the hour-long drive, I'm already eagerly anticipating my next visit to Top of the Market.

For Restaurant Week 2024 my partner and I decided to dine here. I made a reservation on Tock Saturday afternoon for Saturday evening. I requested an window view table on the comments. We were running late so I called the restaurant to inform of our tardiness. The hostess was appreciative of the gesture. When we arrived we were sat in a smaller section that were surrounded my window. I was happy to have the ocean view as requested. Our server shortly arrived with the SDRW menus. I order the Grilled Octopus, Local Swordfish, and a digestif mocktail for my three course meal. My partner ordered the Kanpachi Crudo, Striped Seabass, and S'More Pie. My partner enjoyed his cocktail. He stated it was well crafted. My zero-proof beverage was shocking delicious. It was a cranberry mocktail. It was the perfect combination of sweetness and tart. We both were pleased with the crudo. The garnishment complimented the flavors well. The Grilled Octopus was saltier than I expected; however the hummas added a balance to the dish. The seabass was juicy and the crisped skin added a nice texture and flavor to the fish. When I first received the swordfish my partner and I agreed that it was very salty. I spoke to the server and she had the dish remade. On the second round it was well seasoned yet I was able to taste the natural flavor the fish. Personally, I favor the way the fish was cooked from the first plate because it was flaky, yet the second entree was delicious! The black rice accompanying the dish is a fantastic pair. For dessert my partner had the S'More pie. He stated it was good. It is chocolate heavy so he was not able to finish it. I asked for a digestif mocktail because I am currently fasting from certain desserts. The digestif was a grapefruit mocktail that was refreshing. As someone that never chooses grapefruit as an option I was impressed with however perfect this was to end the meal. The cocktail and mocktail are remarkable. The entire experience was great!

Had an excellent small group dinner to celebrate the 40th anniversary of two wonderful friends. Food was amazing. We started with cocktails and the seafood appetizer platter. Amazingly fresh and tasty. I had the salmon entree which was wonderful. Everyone in the group was very happy with their entrees, cocktails and desserts. Service was very attentive but not overbearing. It seemed that there was always someone watching the table to get whatever we needed which was really nice. The room was also great and it was a relaxed, unhurried evening. 10/10 recommend.

We came for Restaurant Week after a friend recommended it after their Restaurant Week experience. Top of the Market was amazing! And unlike so many other restaurants participating in Restaurant Week, their menu actually pulls from their usual menu, so everything that I recommend below (and I do recommend everything below) is still available for you to try!Food:The stone fruit/burrata salad and grilled octopus were clear winners. My partner said the grilled octopus was the best he had ever eaten because of the hearty and savory flavor. A prior pulpo asado dish from a restaurant in Spain was dethroned in favor of the one here. The salmon had perfectly crisp skin. We ordered it to be done medium (I have never been asked to state preferred doneness on a fish before), but it looked more medium-rare. That's not what I'm used to so in future, I would likely order it to be cooked to be medium-well here. Nonetheless it was delicious, even though the middle was still a bit too sashimi-like for my preferences. The halibut was a generous portion of tender white meat. The sauce was very citrusy but overall a flavorful and satisfying dish.We ordered the almond cake and s'mores pie for dessert since the prix fixe menu required dessert selection. We generally don't order dessert if eating a la carte, but I would definitely break that rule for future dining experiences here. The almond cake is a moist lightly sweet cake that balances perfectly with the ice cream and caramelized peaches. The s'mores pie is a decadent chocolate extravaganza. Ambiance: We were seated outdoors overlooking the weather and had a great view of the boats and sunset. It did get very chilly once the sun set so make sure to bring a jacket!Parking: There is a paid parking lot right in front of the restaurant ($2.50/hr). However, we were stuck in a super long line that didn't move at all so actually U-turned away to park at some other lot a block away that was $10/3 hours (no other time option).

A short walk from the Intercontinental where we are staying, this delightful dining spot is next to the Midway aircraft carrier museum. The view from the dining is amazing, especially at dusk. Do not be distracted! Because the food is also spectacular. The swordfish is possibly the best I've had. The ginger carrot soup is perfect. The watermelon Mocktail excellent with the tajin sprinkle. I enjoyed the crab cake. Our attentive server made it all an enjoyable experience. We are so glad to have experienced this place.

Visiting for an anniversary party of 4, we were seated at the time of our reservation inside with a great view of the water in an elevated booth. The server was attentive, and took care of us really well. It was our first time, depending on the occasion, inside there are white tablecloths, outside more informal. The food is upscale with an upscale price. The oysters were very tiny (some of the tiniest I have ever had) and not the best tasting. Fish entrees were great. We were presented with a slice of anniversary cake at the end with a little taste of champagne, a nice end to the celebration.
