Tony's Giant Pizzeria & Grill

Giving Tony's Giant Pizzeria around ~3.9/5 stars. It's a pretty random spot in Clairemont, next to Diane shopping center and Carmen's Mexican Food. I stopped in here on a whim, since I've passed it for years but never tried it out. It wasn't great, but it also wasn't bad.Best things about this place are the massive beer and beverage selection and the Greek salad I had. The pizza I ordered was a large pepperoni, which was only $9.99 -- to be fair, that's a hard deal to beat.But you know what they say, you get what you pay for. It wasn't necessarily bad or anything, but it just had very little sauce and the crust was super thin. It was like eating cheese bread with some pepperoni. I honestly would prefer to pay $12.99 or even $13.99 and just get a slightly thicker crust with a real serving of sauce on it.The young guy working who was handling the front of house seemed nice enough--I got a feeling he was a new owner or something. He was nice and offered the large pizza special. He also thanked me for coming in.Interior of the store needs some work, however. There's a ton of visuals dust under the front desk/register area, place feels cluttered with the walls of empty pizza boxes stacked on the far wall, and the tables could use a bit more consistent cleaning (though I think I came in right after a dinner rush, to be fair).All in all -- it's not bad, and it's cheap and convenient for the neighborhood. I could see myself trying it again someday, but I'll probably go elsewhere in the future and spend $5-6 bucks more on a pizza that's a bit more pizza-ish.

So we decided to eat pizza here and not much has changed they're very inconsistent the person making the food clearly doesn't give AF take a look at that pizza. Will be going elsewhere for pizza. Also most of the good reviews here seem fake

Tony's is everything you want a hole-in-the-wall pizza place to be. The pizza is always tasty, and their biggest size is literally giant; don't underestimate it. We usually get 2-3 of the giant pizzas for kid's birthday parties and we easily have leftovers. If only they had an arcade game or two, then it would be the pizza joint from my childhood dreams.

I ordered Tony's through Uber Eats. The pizza was really good and the jalapeño poppers were ok. My order arrived with the wrong drink, a root beer instead of a ginger beer, so that was disappointing. I would order pizza from here again.

We ordered a pepperoni pizza. Great sauce. Cheese was a good amount. Crust had a good crunch. Service was prompt and polite.

A great pizza joint - whether you're in the mood for a traditional pizza, a calzone or a Stromboli (yes there is a difference). Call ahead and you're in and out in the blink of an eye.

I can't say enough good things about Tony's Pizza. The taste is absolutely incredible! The crust is perfectly crispy, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh. I've never had a pizza that I enjoyed more. The service is also fantastic; they're always friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Tony's Pizza for a mouthwatering, satisfying pizza experience

Pizza is great. Thin, not too doughy, with a nice crunchy but soft on the inside crust. Prices are really good too, sometimes you can snag a coupon in the mail. Only had the pizza for carryout, but it's become our go-to spot. Their giant pizza is great for parties.

Very rude customer service. The ambiance is unclean and not welcoming. The food was ok. Ordered a pizza online. When I pulled up to pick up my pizza I noticed the 9.99 large pizza special. I paid close to 15.00. They did not refund when I mentioned the difference. The sizes of the pizzas are very misleading online compared to in store. I mentioned to the young kid working behind the counter the discrepancy and that they may want to not use that online service or adjust the prices and sizes because I'm unsatisfied and it makes me not want to come back. As I walked out, the young kid said "That's on you." I was not asking for anything in return - in fact I bought more, because I needed more food to take to the event! For mediocre food and poor customer service this place is NOT worth it!

This Philly cost $11 (and it's just the sandwich) Not only did they get the order wrong (asked for no onions) but there is barely any meat in there. And the flavor is lacking. Their pizza is good so I'll stick to that from now on but super disappointing
