Tokyo-ya Ramen & Izakaya

It's been a while having ramen but this place hit the spot! I went here with my friends and place wasn't too full though it did fill up the longer we stayed. The place is in a strip mall that also includes H-Mart, 85 Bakery and Pho Tai. Inside space is pretty typical, nothing really stood out for me. There's tons of seating for both small and large parties alike.I got the tonkatsu miso ramen along with a side of takoyaki. Broth was very flavorful and not overly spicy, and condiments complimented the soup very well, especially when paired with a 3-star level spice. Takoyaki was hot and fresh. Service was very attentive even though they did get quite busy at the end.Federal Way is more known for its Korean restaurants, so having a ramen place in the city was a surprise but it works! I'd come back here again and try their other ramen dishes!

Dont order to go here. You automatically get a to go bag charge added. Although $0.10, I have never seen a to go bag charge added elsewhere. Other than that, their food is decent and overpriced for their quality of food. Ordered a Tan Tan Ramen ($17.45) and Shio Ramen ($16.45) spicy. Was definitely very spicy, but was light on condiments. Definitely more noodle than condiments.Overall, I have told myself years ago to never come back and I decided years later thinking it would be better. Honestly not impressed. Still the same as before.

Their ramen was actually so delicious, high quality, and I really enjoyed! The service was a little bit slow however but our service was still super nice and helpful. The brother was extremely salty, so I would recommend asking for it to be less sodium if they allow that, the corn was FREEZING. It was the worst part of the bowl, but still overall delicious.Environment was clean, friendly, and the cooks all said bye to me after i left which was super sweet!

The food is amazing!! The noodles are abundant, the broth is out of this world! The service is prompt, friendly and efficient. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Overall, a wonderful experience.

We were craving some bomb broth and this place seemed great! The ramen is all very very good, great amount of meat, and portions are huge. The asapargus was so small, but it was REALLY GOOD. The 4 stars is from the service. The lady helping us did not give us any space. Every 5 minutes (with our cups filled) she kept asking us if we wanted water---- They took forever to give our check and when we were leaving they were talking so much that they didn't even notice us leaving. In other words, they do a lot of talking to each other. The place is clean though, so kudos for that.

It was super good! It was cold out and we wanted some ramen and saw this place. We ordered edemame and Kimchee. Although we found out they don't make their Kimchee it was good. Not too spicy. The service here is very helpful too! I had a spicy sesame dish of soup. I think not so spicy next time. But after a few bites it was ok and made my nose run lol! Super spectacular and we will be back!! It grew on me! Will try some other soup next time. Plus they are open late!! Like 10:45 pm or similar!!!

Food was amazing. Fast service. Prices are good. I ordered beef curry, the curry was just spice enough.

Have been going to this place every now and then since they opened. It's my go to for ramen in the area. The ladies who work the front of the house are nice and pleasant to work with as ever. Food is still spot on. The place- is very clean. Keep it up Tokyo-ya!

This ramen restaurant is located in Federal Way, within the same plaza as H-Mart. My sister and I came in to have dinner on a Saturday around 6PM. The restaurant was fairly busy with people seated at almost every available table when we came in. Luckily, we beat the crowd because once we showed up, we were seated essentially immediately without having to wait. There were several groups of people waiting in the front to be seated by the time we finished eating. My sister ordered the Spicy Negi Ramen, while I ordered the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen. We had no issues with our food or service. The food came out way faster than we expected since it was so busy. Nonetheless, we were thrilled to eat as soon as it arrived! We were satisfied and well taken care of while we were dining in that evening.

Love the food met my expectations! 10/10 definitely coming back and recommending to my close ones.
