Tokyo Sushi Loha

Great atmosphere, the sushi was fresh and delicious, with a great variety on the menu. Service was friendly and remarkably fast. I highly recommend!

I always write about @tokyosushiloha.sd when I'm in San Diego! We are obsessed. Last time we had the pleasure of trying their dynamite special with scallops. It was one of the best dishes we have had but sadly it got discontinued. However, we tried a new roll this time called the Cilantro Roll and it was life changing I've never had cilantro on sushi but holy smokes yall it was a game changer. I really don't see it in the online menu so perhaps it's newer? It had shrimp tempura, crab, and tuna, and I'm talking a TON of crab. We added cream cheese cuz we are naughty As we sat at the sushi bar we had Aijan (spelling?) as our sushi chef. He was great and actually treated us to a taste of the sashimi salad that we were eyeing but didn't order. Def gonna get that next time. It's PILED HIGH with fresh fish and sesame. This has been my favorite sushi place for decades. I started eating here when they were down the street in a smaller location, about 20 years ago. I moved out of town and look forward to visiting here. Unfortunately, the place was sold and there was turnover from long-term staff. Those changes are reflected in the lowers quality of food and service. I always loved the "Lobster Roll", but the new ownership changed it and it's not as good. In addition, I like Tokyo Dynamite Roll which they do not have anymore. And the wait staff isn't as good as the staff that used to work here.I have travelled extensively all over the world and live in Japan. I used to say that Tokyo Sushi alpha was my favorite sushi place in the world. Not anymore.

This place was spectacular !!! I got the heart attack and it was extremely delicious . I give it a 9.9 the extra point would've been added if it had extra spice , which I'm sure they would make it more hot if I would ask . It's a hidden gem for sure . If I didn't live so far away I would visit every day

After driving around for almost an hour, these dang kids decided on sushi. This is why I don't have children! LOL! It was great to come back in because they have some of my favorites! We ordered gyoza and kaarage chicken since we were starving! I ordered the black garlic ramen....soooo good! and the lemon roll! Delicious! The kids had the spicy chicken bento and the chicken teriyaki bento. At one point, the table was silent because we were all just grinding! LOL! Staff was friendly! Parking is easy! Food delicious! What more could you want? I didn't get the tuna tar tar, so that will have to wait until next time!

The service was fast, professional and attentive. We got seated quickly around 6pm Saturday night. We shared a rainbow roll and a couple of appetizers.The oyster shooter was a small oyster mixed with something citrus, something sweet, and something spicy. To me, it had way too much sauce and was harder to eat than if it had came off of the shell, instead. The rest of the sushi we order was fresh, we'd definitely come back again!

My boyfriend and his kids love coming here. For me, it's just ok. I didn't think the some of the fish was particularly fresh. The tuna tasted really fishy. The sashimi salad had some leaves that were beyond wilted, so I didn't enjoy having to pick out some dark pieces of lettuce. The salmon sashimi was good and I liked their soft shell crab. Their price is cheaper in comparison to other sushi restaurants, but the quality is reflected in the price.This is one of those sushi places that I will try once and would not elect to return if it were up to me. It's not horrible, but certainly not in my top 10 places to go for sushi.

I visited Tokyo Sushi Aloha a few weeks ago, and as someone who comes here every now and then for some good sushi, I have mixed feelings about this place. While the sushi itself is generally good, I seem to have trouble with some of their rolls. A good variety of their rolls come with a lot of toppings, making them quite large and difficult to take a bite out of. Especially with the bigger sushi rolls, it's harder to get a grip on them without everything falling out. Maybe I'm just ordering the wrong things, but the structural integrity of the rolls could definitely use some improvement.Overall, Tokyo Sushi Aloha offers a decent sushi experience, but the oversized and heavily topped rolls can be a bit challenging to enjoy fully.

Sushi was delicious! Great price! I come here all the time now. Food comes quick, good service!

Lovely service, great food, and nice ambiance! Refreshing sapphoro, fun music, good appetizer options as well. 10/10 would recommend. Will be back!
