My husband and friends had come here recently and were raving about it so we gave it a shot for our anniversary this week since we both love sushi. It's in a strip mall and is a smaller restaurant with only a few staff so I understand people thinking it's slower service, there just aren't many people working. I will say half the people in there the waitress knew by name so that's always a good sign. She was also very nice and made us feel welcome. We started with gyoza which was good, nice and crunchy. Followed up with the 911, Philly and rainbow roll that were pictured here. All of the rolls were fresh and the rice was soft. My only complaint would be that the prices are a few dollars more per item than other places we go for the same quality food. I would certainly come back if I was in the area but would probably go somewhere closer otherwise.

Way too pricey for flavor and quality. Sadly disappointed, the sushi rolls were super sweet and drowning in sauce. Not worth the hefty price, I don't mind spending money on quality but they missed that mark. Go south for sushi and save some money

I have been here only twice. Both times the service and food was really good. Prices are higher than usual. I don't like the seats. It's all wood. No cushions. There are no partitions in the whole dining room so it can get loud and/or awkward when people talk loud or get on their own cell phones while dining in.

This place has always been 5 stars for me. The food is great, sushi is amazing (the best I've had outside of Seattle and San Francisco). The family who owns this place takes great care in what they do, their relationships with customers are important and they're just very sweet, kind people. Recently my girlfriends brought me here for my birthday; after dinner our waitress/hostess brought out a cake my friend had left with her earlier ... the friend who set this dinner up said the woman was very helpful. We shared 3 huge rolls, (my fave: spicy tempura tuna, Oso roll, and a spider), plus a big family styleplate of teriyaki, rice, and perfectly cooked tempura veggies (I could just eat a whole dinner of those alone too!). I hadn't been here in a while but I won't let that happen again!

Teriyaki at least is extremely expensive.Oh, and none of the employees on the floor were wearing masks, which is currently required for employees in WA working around customers. Even the person preparing food had no mask on. Had I known this business was being so pointlessly irresponsible, I would not have come by. I definitely won't be back. Who knows what other public health mandates they don't feel like following? Washing their hands?

Their prices are indeed steep (e.g. $21 for a rainbow roll), but you get what you pay for. It's obvious they didn't just get some guy off the street and teach him the basics of sushi rolling. The fish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and the flavors surprisingly complex. Frankly this was some of the best sushi we've had in the NE Puget Sound area in quite a while. Too expensive to bring the kids, but we'll definitely be back for date night.

Food was tasteless and not fresh. How do you get Edamame wrong?!?! Terrible sushi. Service was non-existent and occasionally rude. I was shocked to her our server say to my wife, "I heard you the first time" in an loud, mean tone. My wife is very pleasant and in no way invoked this response. I was ready to walk then but my family asked we give it a go...bad decision.2 rolls, 1 bowl edamame, 1 side salad and 2 sapporros and it came to $105?!?!?!?!? Insanely overpriced for crappy food (both rolls tasted the same). We didn't even fill up and had to go buy snacks elsewhere.Interesting side note...the next night we went to the Bonefish grill where all 3 of us enjoyed an appetizer, entrees and beer. Total cost: $105. Skip this place!

My go-to for a sushi restaurant in this area. The sushi chef and waitress today were SO kind and generous. It made my dining experience that much more meaningful. The restaurant is clean and the setting is intimate. The only complaints I have is that the rice tasted old and sour and the sashimi didn't seem as fresh as usual.. and has the prices sky rocketed?
