5 Stars is not enough to show my admiration for the manifestation of the American Dream. Here, I can think of few instances that embody that spirit more beautifully.Oh and the food? Excellent. Service? Outstanding. Ambiance? Well could use some music if I'm being honest. Next time you're here, put in your headphones and close your eyes... sukiyaki hits different while listening to "Sukiyaki" by Kyu Sakamoto.

Loved trying this spot! The owner was very friendly and service was fast. The sushi was exceptional. I truly felt like I got my money's worth too. I'm normally not a big rice person, but the sushi rice was excellent! I can't wait to come back. Plenty of parking and the restaurant is spacious.

My son and I had lunch here on the spur of the moment. Such a great mom/pop spot. Literally. They have eat-in options or takeout. The owners were so kind and welcoming. The place is very humble, but it felt like going to a friend's home. We ordered the beef udon, Japanese curry with pork katsu and a sashimi plate. It was all delicious and fresh. The curry was so authentic and brought me back to my childhood with homemade curry. The place is not fancy, but I loved it. Just authentic food made from the heart.

Went to this place last night for the first time mostly because I saw that it has 4.5 stars aVery disappointed. Horrible service almost non existent service. Sashimi wasn't very good. No pickled ginger, no one to ask for pickled ginger. Maybe they had someone quit or maybe they didn't want to pay for help? Food was mediocre at best. Can't imagine how this place has 4.5

Domo arigato! An unassuming, walk-up, takeaway type place with a few deli-style booths for seating. An an elder Japanese gentleman is running the front of the restaurant. He will take your order, complete with traditional Japanese expressions and acknowledgments. Your food is served on a cafeteria tray, but somehow still doesn't lack presentation. When you're done, you pay at the counter.Everything we had was delicious! When I asked how they got the crispy coating on the chicken, he bowed his head, gave me a dirt-off-the-shoulder sweep of the hand and said, "Family secret."I need to attempt their Yakitori chicken at home. I have never had chicken that way until today and now I'm hooked!

Not a bad spot to get noodles, ramen bowls, and appetizers. First time trying this place and ordered take out. Definitely more of a noodle place than sushi. Also ordered their shu mai and they were little overdone, and the owner gave us a refund since they were crispy. Some of us really enjoyed that version of the crispy shu mai but not like the traditional steamed version. Would definitely come back and even try dining in to see if the experience lines up.

Terrible first experience.I paid $35 for lunch, because they increased ALL of their lunch prices. It should have been $20.This place is grossly overpriced and overvalued. The gyoza is barely acceptable, but the egg rolls are disgusting. They charge $5 for two small egg rolls that should never be consumed and digested. All of it is grotesque and unhealthy frozen food.I won't be returning.

This restaurant was one of a kind in the state of Arizona. After trying Japanese curry a couple of years ago I have always been on the lookout for a restaurant who serves it in Arizona. There have been a couple I was able to find, but none really stood out to me. I was very impressed with the unique and authentic items on the menu. We ordered the takoyaki for an appetizer, but wasn't very impressed. I have tried many different locations serving takoyaki, this seemed almost fried and without flavor. But don't let that fool you, there are many different tasty selections from this menu. We also ordered the curry and rice with sliced beef, and the katsu-donburi. Also side note, each meal came with a little side of edamame, chicken skewer, and gyoza. The side dishes all tasted very good, love that it comes with the meal. The curry was very rich and had lots of different chunks of potatoes or carrots along with the meat mixed in, which goes amazing with the rice. It's such a warm tasty meal perfect for a cold night. Surprisingly, I also loved the katsu-donburi, the caramelized onions definitely took the dish to a new level. I would definitely come back to try another menu item, knowing that these were good. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the man who was serving us was very helpful and friendly. He definitely brought a bright and homey vibe to the restaurant, I wish this business the best.

We came here and there were a few people here. Their menu had a lot of dishes that sounded good to us. We ordered the Tekka (Tuna) sushi roll ($6) and made it spicy for $1, Nakaochi-don ($18), and the Japanese Curry (with slices beef) ($13). The food came out slowly which was fine since we were not in a rush. The chicken gyoza and chicken yakitori skewer that came with the Nakaochi-don tasted good to me. The tuna in the Nakaochi-don tasted fresh, the spicy tuna roll was good, and the Japanese Curry was delicious. Our waiter was nice and friendly. Overall, I thought this place was good for what they had.

I've been meaning to try this place for lunch for long time then I forgot all about it.. So we went for dinner... Oh my oh my.. What a little gem of a place.. Walking in.. Just the atmosphere, smell from the kitchen, and the greet from the owner (I'm assuming ) I thought I was back in Okinawa..I ordered the nabi-yaki udon.. Kids ordered sukiyaki and curry udon... Food came out in timely manner.. The smell of the food.. Tasted just as good as they smelled... My kid said best sukiyaki ever.. I tasted it.. Spot on.. My udon was delicious it didn't look like big portion but I was full... Curry udon I tasted also reminded me of my favorite udon place I used to go in Okinawa.Man I am so glad I came here.. I would definitely come back here and I would definitely recommend this place if you like Japanese food..I can't wait to go back and try other dishes..
