This is a great place for food, but not family friendly. They don't have a single high chair and no changing table - we were going or go to a Korean BBQ place where you have to cook the food yourselves but decided against it because we didn't want the hassle of our baby being too close to the grill...only to find out we had to physically hold our baby throughout all of dinner here because of the lack of high chair. However! The food was *divine*. We all ordered the meat party hot stone and 2 orders of japche and man oh man it was great!

They took down our order wrong and refused to correct it; you should be taking responsibility for your own mistake and not have the customer pay for your mistake. When we tried to talk to another server they refused to make eye contact with us and avoided us. Will never come back and will recommend to all our friends and family to avoid this place like the plague.

I've been a regular at this place for years, and it never disappoints! The combo of seafood tofu with galbi, paired with white rice and egg, is always my go-to, and it's consistently delicious. The galbi was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Recently, we also tried the hot stone meat party, which came with a generous portion of meat and veggies--perfect for sharing and packed with flavor. They also offer complimentary side dishes like spicy cucumber, kimchi, and other Korean favorites, which complement the meal perfectly. The service here is top-notch, always friendly and efficient. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great Korean food and excellent service!

Not the best Korean food. Not very tasty. Subpar food. Dumplings were just dough maybe from frozen and 1/2 size of normal dumplings. Japjhae was bland. Service was Blah... he seemed bothered. Side dishes were small and definitely not fresh.Meat & chicken portions small. Seemed to use frozen items. Not fresh

Unfortunately, the San Diego region as a whole lacks in the soondubu (Korean tofu soup) department. This is the best I've tried in SD, but pretty underwhelming and a little pricey for what it is... (I hear from my Korean friends that you can make soondubu at home for pretty cheap.) Felt like my tofu soup was pretty salty. But I appreciate the purple rice option. And the banchan (side dishes) are decent! Not a go-to place for me, but will come back if craving tofu soup.

My boyfriend took me here on our very first date almost 3 years ago and we've consistently kept going. I've only dined in here twice, both times with friends and both times have been great. The service is really fast and the food, while I can only speak for the vegetarian boiled tofu, is delicious. It comes out extremely hot, like boiling hot so my boyfriend and I usually let it cool down for 10+ minutes before digging in and even then, it's still hot. Obviously there's a different experience when you dine in, like when you first sit down they give you kimchi, fish cakes, cucumbers and a few more things but unless you request it, you don't get that during takeout. The only gripe that I have is they seem to kind of want to shoo you out once you're finished eating so they're constantly coming to the table, asking if you need anything, dropping off the check, and clearing the table so be aware if you go with friends and you want to hang out and enjoy yourselves while you catch up. You might want to check out a dessert spot if you want to keep the party going.

Service is always fast here. We were seated quickly upon arrival. They bring out 4 banchan dishes right away. The waiter took our orders and brought out our dishes soon after. They only give you one free egg per dish.We both liked our seafood tofu soups with the nutty black rice and banchan vegetables.

If you're looking for something quick and warm, I'd come by here if you're in town. The menu is smaller than most tofu soup restaurants and you can't swap the soup out if you are ordering the combos. The soup itself was good. I got the dumpling tofu soup and my boyfriend got the chefs tofu soup with bulgogi stone pot combo. The stone pot had a weird burnt smell to it. The stone pot was okay. A little on the sweet side. The food came out pretty quick. The banchan was pretty typical: kimchi, fish cake, cucumber, and daikon.

I've been here once many many years ago - wasn't impressed then and still not impressed. We LOVE Korean food and enjoy eating at Tofu House in Convoy so we know what good Korean food tastes like. This location definitely puts Korean food to shame. Restaurant was clean with plenty of open seating. Service was decent. Food was a huge disappointment.Side dishes were not fresh or crunchy at all, only the kimchi was edible. Typically, if side dishes are good, you know the food will be good as well. We ordered two combos and none of it hit the spot or good. The bulgogi did not look appetizing at all, looked like frozen meat was used, and dish was watery/wet, didn't have the seasoning or glazed like other Korean restaurants. The experience overall was unsatisfactory, and we'll just drive a bit further next time for good & tasty Korean food.

This place does not have authentic Korean food. Side dishes were lacking in flavor- fish cakes dry, hard to chew and tasteless, radish lack crunchinessB1 combination tofu was decent soup base; however seafood did not taste very fresh- probably frozen. Bogolgi had a lot of water, no glazed on the meatH1 hot stone rice bowl tasted burntOrdered japchae plate, didn't taste like japchae-lacking sesame seasoning and its wet. Probably bc of the veggies that they add and the way it's cooked is more like fried Chinese style. Very disappointed eating all the orders. Btw, Japchae is spelled Japchae, not Japche.Service was decent waiter checked up on us 2-3 times, guess it wasn't busy. I wouldn't say this is Korean food, looks like it but doesn't taste like it.If you have to eat Korean food, convoy is the place to go, the Tofu house there taste much better
