Toasted Imperial Beach

Let me tell you, you CANNOT go wrong with this spot. Found it on Apple Maps, got confused because it was in the hotel, but was so pleasantly surprised. Rodrigo, the manager, was so friendly, sat us immediately, and brought us water within seconds, and a mimosa flight within minutes of ordering it. We had a beach front table, I did end up moving cuz I got a little too hot, they had no issues whatsoever and told us to make ourselves at home. I had the Lobster Toast, added a poached egg and it was AMAZING. Like 10/10. Lobsters was cooked perfectly. My wife has the Brisket Sandwich, added grilled onions. She loved absolutely loved it! She's from the south and knows good brisket. We added on the Messy Sundae, it was MARVELOUS and so big! After the meal, Rodrigo came and checked in on us to make sure everything was good! It was, my only complaint was that he didn't warn us HOW GOOD the food would be. We live 25 minutes away, but we will definitely be returning often to try the rest of the menu.

**Terrible Experience - Don't Waste Your Money!**We had an awful experience at Toasted Imperial Beach. It took 39 minutes to get our food, and when it finally arrived, everything was cold. The portions were ridiculously small for the price, and the quality was just as bad. I ordered "The Wagyu Burger" with fries, and the patty was the size of a Jimmy Dean sausage -- cold, of course, as were the fries. My wife's grilled chicken breast was literally burnt, and my son's lamb chops were tiny and cold. My daughter's chicken sandwich and fries were also cold. To top it off, the servers never checked on us for drink refills. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Head across the street for some tacos at Mike Hess instead. Toasted is garbage!!!

This is not the first time I received poor service nor the second time this was the THIRD time. And the LAST This would be since they last changed management as previously it was top notch.Today I had ordered another drink when someone other than my waiter brought the food, and apparently it wasn't communicated to my waiter although if she had returned to to table at all to check on us I would have been able to enquire but no we were sitting there over 30 minutes after finishing the meal and nobody came around to see how we were doing and it wasn't busy at all.The previous time the waiter was confused about the day's specials and when I asked for something I saw on another table he looked confused and said he would need to go ask someone?I guess they didn't review the specials that day with the staff working which seems strange as most places are aware and encourage the special!Prior to that on the first visit after management changed we were on the side and basically forgotten about.I had asked for a bottle of hot sauce which the waiter had in her hand then randomly sat down on another table as if she forgot we asked for it.This is not a cheap place to eat but that's how customers are treated It was much busier prior to the management change Maybe someone will figure out this bad level of service will not make for too many repeat customers

Our waitress was super sweet her service made our experience a great one.The food was good and the portions were big enough to share. The location was quiet and enjoyable

What it was a different experience from 180 seacoast everything in their change food menu weight staff works not sure if I'm really thrilled with the food. Javier is the waiter was excellent. Really good service but besides that, I'm not sure if I'm willing to go back, the Caesar salad was OK. It was like cooked lettuce. It had a weird taste. The truffle fries were decent. The steak was OK, nothing really to be over so maybe after a couple months I will return once to get their footing in.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and wanted to enjoy the sunset from our balcony so decided to order food to go from the on-site restaurant. I went with the smoked salmon toast and it was delicious! I've never had capers before and everything just worked out so well with the capers, jalapeño cream cheeses, smoked salmon and pricked red onion on a thick delicious toast. The service was fast and

The most delicious chilaquiles my Mexican mother and I have ever had on this side of the boarder. Our waiter Rodrigo was excellent. He even spoke with my mama in Spanish making her feel super comfortable and at home.Great food, great service !

Ivan English was our server for the night ! He was simply the best ! His high energy , attention to detail and world class customer service ensured the best dining experience at toasted ! We will be back again ! Food was 10/10 as was Ivan's service ! Sunset , great food , what more can you ask for !

Service: The service was very professional. Our server, I forgot her name, but she was French, was one off the best servers we have had this year. She gave her recommendation and shared her thoughts on items that we valued a lot.Food: Food was amazing . I had the Classic French Omelette, it was creamy, hot, and delicious along with toasted sourdough bread, and a Caesar side salad. For dessert we shared the Messy Sundae that was over the top to round out a great meal. For drinks we had the China Mist Ice Tea, which is one of the best that I've ever had.Ambiance: Ambiance was great. We were able to get a table with great views of the beach, pier, and surf which was appreciated.Overall: This was my first time at this location and I enjoyed everything about it. I'd definitely come back for the service and my particular server as well. She did a great Job!

We've been there twice and both times the was fantastic! Fresh with interesting flavor pairings. We love the place also with its beautiful views and great service. Rodrigo was our incredible service and photographer too! This place is my favorite!
