The bahn mis were pretty tasty! I had a tofu bahn mi, which is vegetarian if you remove the pate, and my partner had the pork one. We both liked our sandwiches, though they got a little soggy on our 15 minute commute home. The boba was quite good as well. They were prompt and friendly with the service and the cafe is cute and well lit. There's a few tables to sit and eat at, and it was clean. I was in and out pretty quick for take out and the price was reasonable too. I'd definitely come back!

Came here for lunch on a whim when we were in the area. You get a lot of food for your money, the portions were big. Makes for great leftovers. It was really good overall, very flavorful. I loved the sauce that came with the food. I didn't really need a fried egg on mine but I couldn't resist. It was a solid lunch.

This place is a great option if you're in a pinch! Initially came for the boba and ended up ordering The Mekong (pork) Banh Mi as well! The Banh Mi had a great crunch from the bread, and fantastic flavor from the fillings inside. The Taro Oreo milk tea is great! Definitely reduce the sweetener because it can be quite overpowering. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

A few of my friends and I came together to have lunch, and we're all Vietnamese so we decided to try out Toast Mi since banh mi was befitting for lunch. Coming inside, it was pretty modern for a typical banh mi shop. They had a sizeable menu. I ended up choosing the Ha Long Bay (grilled beef) sandwich alongside a Vietnamese coffeeThe sandwich itself was pretty alright. The pickled vegetables seems fresh and were tasty. Beef cooked well, and you can kind of see them cook the meat in the back. The biggest strife I had with this sandwich though was how dripping wet it was after taking a few bites. A lot of juices came falling out onto the paper the banh mi was wrapped in. Other than that a good sandwich. One thing I would definitely not recommend however was the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. It did not taste like your typical Vietnamese coffee at all and instead had a bitter coconut cream taste to it. My friend who had also ordered it was not a huge fan of the Vietnamese coffee but still was able to drink it. For me it just disappointed me so I threw it away.Still willing to come back to Toast Mi to try out other sandwiches and drinks since they're pretty close to where I am currently living, but there are definitely some ups and downs to their food and drinks.

I came here thinking, "oh another sizzle and crunch vibe" but unfortunately it is nothing close to sizzle and crunch.Vietnamese iced coffee- this was pretty strong which was great, however don't expect it to taste at all like the typical Vietnamese iced coffee you'd get at the Vietnamese restaurants in international district.I ordered the grilled pork bowl- this was honestly pretty boring. The grilled pork had barely any flavor (not enough dank), the pickled veggies were not pickled enough, the aioli sauce did not slap... Nothing in the bowl made me want to go back again. Everything was just too bland for me. Maybe I should've tried the banh mi instead?I do think if you're not too adventurous, this might actually be a solid choice for you, hence why I gave it a 3 star instead of 2.

To properly give one's stamp of approval, it is necessary to understand what "Toast Me" is and is not. Though there are technically a few uninviting spots to sit inside, this is more of a grab and go Vietnamese version of a Chipotle or Panda Express. This is not a romantic date destination-- not even an undercover so-called it was platonic meeting. You order. You Get (quickly). Unfortunately, by order number, rather than the much more human approach, by name. You grab. You go. You're gone. But that is perfect for Green Lake. Green Lake is a pedestrian LuluLem-mom baby strolling, hipster with a hangover, dog walk-in' daddy waving at joggers mecca (with a little "m"). It is a place that hasn't., and doesn't want to, figured out it's patron parking crisis, even with meters maxed out and running. So, people, must locally crawl out of their flats or squeeze their way from their porches, through the small spaces between cars, and onto the cracked sidewalks to breathe the morning moist lake air.Toast Me! must understand this and the once unaware market for Banh Mi by the near foot. Why, it's easy to do this Green Lake walk with a great Bahn Mi sandwich in one hand and a smoothie in the other. Less messy than a gyro. Better tasting than a hoodie. Best shared with weekend doppelgängers.I had the House Special (Banh Mi)--which is their 10" (approx.) sandwich with a fried egg and your choice of two toppings. I did tofu and pork. It was really good. Reasonably priced as their highest priced sandwich, around $12, it was worth a try. like Red Robin's Royal Burger, Ive never had a fried egg on my Saigon Special. It was worth the few extra bucks. The only issue was the bun was "over" toasted and actually scratched the roof of my mouth. But don't worry. There are smoothies on what seems every block corner that can stitch any cuts on your palette.

The banh mi was good, packed full of veggies (way more than other places), I had opted for the veggie and pate banh mi and added an egg. The bread was a little too toasted for me, I had crumbs all over and it was pretty embarrassing. The rice bowl was hefty, didn't know it came with a fried egg too. Also got a peach tea with rainbow jelly. Overall, food was tasty.

Delicious drinks and sandwiches in a cute cafe. I got the Notre dam sandwich with the strawberry cheesecake boba and it was amazing. I definitely recommend this place if you find yourself in the area.

Genuinely the best banh mi i've had, wish the sandwich was bigger for the price but it was 100% worth the stop on my way out of town. Decided to try the matcha mango and it was surprisingly great, perfect amount of cream and sweetness

Pretty good boba for a restaurant! They only have a few options and when I asked last they can't fix flavors (eg, they have coconut coffee but you can't skip one flavor), and the boba tends to be overcooked unfortunately. The sandwiches are often very toast-y, so expect a big mess from crumbs.Drawbacks notwithstanding, I have gone back and I plan to keep going back. It's really a 3.8 kind of restaurant for me.
