This place is consistently phenomenal and the service is always good. Old school diner vibe and the food is amazing. We've been coming here for years and I have never had a bad meal. It's a rare thing to have bacon cooked just right at a restaurant and they know how to do it

I really do like this restaurant and hate to write a negative review. However, we dropped by yesterday for lunch and the place was dreadful hot. The shirt of our waitress was wet with sweat. I asked if the air conditioning was broken and was told that the owners kept it that high despite numerous complaints by customers. I also asked how long the restaurant had been this hot and was told "all summer." It was literally 90 degrees in the restaurant and unfortunately, we were at a table with no air circulation from ceiling fans. The air was stagnant and hot. I heard others complaining as well. I was told not to waste my breath. It seems very selfish for one person to make the decision to treat their staff and customers this way for their own gratification. I do like the food and the servers have always been good to us. BUT, if I ever walk back in and it is this hot, I am walking straight back out! I don't care how good the food is, this was a miserable experience!

I ordered chicken fried steak with eggs over easy, hash-browns and toast. The egg yokes were broken, they forgot the hash browns and the chicken fried steak was burned black. Very bad.

We had a party of four on NYE for breakfast. We were seated immediately and the staff were all very pleasant. Two of the four of us were from the Midwest and frequent a restaurant that is very similar to TJ's. The prices at TJ's were almost double of the place we go to at home, but TJ's had a wider variety of food items to choose from. Our server was great and apologized for the wait on receiving our food (which wasn't even long), as they were short staffed. Two of us ordered an omelette and two of us shared Eggs Benedict. All three meals had soggy hasbrowns and as much expensive as it was, we expected huge portions or something, but it wasn't anything to brag about. I would definitely eat there again, but wouldn't be somewhere that I would frequent by any means. The decor was cool and I saw some interesting things on the walls.

I've been here once and I've craved it since, their menu is unique and definitely for an older crowd. I would recommend their sweets. The vibe was definitely the small diner/farm/ trailer park which is hard to describe. I've definitely craved some of their food since. The service was pretty good too.

Breakfast aficionados alert!!!! If you want mammoth portions, this place is for you. If you want the most savory sausage link you ever put in your mouth, this place is for you. If you want a cozy "you're back at Grandmas house" meal with a piping hot cup of coffee, this place is for you. The only reason I don't give TJs 5 stars is the time from "order to plated". It takes a very long time to get your meal once even seated. This assumes of course you are coming at a reasonably busy time. I'll just say it. They don't have the number of cooks and waitstaff to keep up with the number of diners. But they bust their tail doing the best they can and it's not for lack of trying. Again, the portions and quality of food are just outrageously good. If you are not in a rush, THIS is your breakfast spot !

Not my cup of tea, but if you're into classic Americana, you might enjoy it. Had an unexpected crunch in my eggs Benedict--egg shell, perhaps? Not the experience I was hoping for. Won't be going out of my way to return.

Old school in the best possible sense! Great service, food and prices.Well loved building from the 60's, don't let that fool you. Menu offers something for everyone. Our party couldn't resist sampling the house made baked goods. Cinnamon roll is a must try. Muffins and raisin bread also amazing. Traditional and southwestern menu offerings were fantastic. Splittable entrees as portions are large. Coffee was great too.A classic in every sense of the word.
