When this place is good, it's great. The problem is there's been a spite lake lately of really bad meat put in the steak and Carnitas meals. Basically, taking a crapshoot going here. If you get the right person cutting the meat it's delicious. If not, it's horrendous. It's really hard to justify the cost for the quality and consistency.

I had these tacos delivered to my door which is surely not the fair way to judge them -- but the family style taco platter was an immense amount of food, of uneven quality. The steak was solid, the al pastor was tasty, I could skip the chicken.Would I make a trip for this taco shop? No I would not. But was I quite content to have them delivered to my door, and to have my children eat a surprising number of steak tacos? I was.

Holy "Pozole! My only "grip" is that I enjoy fatty pieces of pork and theirs is lean. Now that we have that out the way, you can't go wrong with their pozole. I had the Rojo but see just as good reviews for the green version. I think I paid around 12 bucks and got a stinking gallon of pozole - full of meat veggies etc. I ended up having to freeze my left overs. You also get taco shells (the flat kind) cabbage, an avocado and lime on the side.10 out of 10 recommend

Rainy day? Tio Luis' pozole and menudo will pick you right up! I also love their caldo de pollo. The jugos like Pima and cucumber are great too.It's far from me, but well worth the drive. The owners and staff are friendly too. Great find in Chicago!

I can't put into words how I love this place. The tacos, burritos are delicious. Food is fresh and mouthwatering. I can't get enough of the margaritas. I came here alone last year, the I brought my cousin, the my bestie and her husband, then my friend was in town from London. I keep bringing people. The staff is wonderful. I highly recommend, if you go, contact me, I wanna enjoy with you.

I would like to say that of all the times I have eaten at this establishment the service, food and consistency have gone down very much. I came in and ordered the same thing I would always order on a semi regular Sunday. The prices have been raised by 20% without prior notice, the amount of food is lacking and lack of communication is horrible. This is not the way a business should be run.

Don't come here unless your Mexican tbh. Service does not make you feel welcome and have attitudes, especially manager. Food could be good depends who's cooking but the atmosphere is off. Vibes are everything and needs an adjustment.

Came here for a taste of taco's from Tio Luis and those tasty complimentary chips and salsa. We sat in the front with all tables all occupied. The restaurant is slowly filling up to full capacity. We ordered two kid's taco meals which comes with beans and rice. I ordered individual fish tacos. Meals took awhile to come to our table as we continue to get down to last chip in the basket. The waiter apologized for a long wait as we asked for a refill of chips, the waiter replied that the third round of chips has a cost for refill. which was odd since we never had the second round. The kids meal came out shortly after the confusion with the round of complementary chips. Kids meal taco's came out plain without cilantro and onion and kids asked for radish and limes. The waiter said they don't come with them without a charge. Which is odd, when we order take out from this place many times as we get limes and radish without a charge. We replied with a question on why there is a charge for limes and radish when you dine in. He looked at us and then said he will just get us the limes and radish without a charge. The rest of the meal was uneventful as we slowly finished out meal. They have a small two car lot by the alley but on Sunday's metered parking is free.
