Time Out Ale House

So I have now been here at least 8 times over the last 9 years. Every meal & dining experience has been wonderful. Went today with 2 girlfriends for lunch. Our server Nikki was fantastic. She took care of our beverage orders promptly and then took our food orders. I got the San Francisco Melt sandwich. It was delicious but messy. The guacamole, tomatoes and BBQ aioli sauce made it pretty wet. I would order it again without the guacamole and aioli sauce. Friend #1 ordered the fish and chips and she liked them except the coleslaw was a little overdressed. Friend #2 had the Blue Cheese Burger and she liked it except that she thought it was missing enough blue cheese. I have done previous reviews mentioning that I wish they were closer to where I live and I still feel the same way. I think the U-District area would greatly benefit from a restaurant like this. A clean & comfortable restaurant with lots of TV's and great food is a winner in my book.

One of our favorite bartenders/servers moved here from another spot, so we've moved our allegiance here. (Note to owners and bosses: we come for the service and personalities. Take care of your good people!)Once here, our friend Mel told us that the food is all prepared fresh and told us the cheese sticks snd bbq pizza is fabulous. She was right! So we're back - this time for burgers. Burgers are hand pressed, fire grilled, and served on brioche buns. (Beat that, Poodle Dog!)Good drinks too.

Great place to watch football and the food and service is very good!!I recommend the Carne Asada Fries!!

Stopped in for a late after a play dinner/snack, still a very busy place after 10 on a Saturday night. Being a sports bar and grill, there were plenty of TVs all around, along with a few pool tables and dart board. Quite a few people enjoying their Friday night. Quickly found a table near the pool table, which wasn't the most optimal location, as sone of the pool players didn't seem to have a clue about space, just how much space they could occupy without actually touching anyone. A little disconcerting to say the least. Server was quick to bring menus and drinks, a great selection of pub and grill food and full bar offered. Orders were quickly filled and the cheeseburger ordered was a thick hamburger patty, lots of cheese, lettuce and tomato, plenty to satisfy a late night hunger. Plenty of fries in the side as well. Food was delicious, service, and overall atmosphere for a late night was great. The only downer, other than pool table etiquette was the odd dude that went out to what I assume was the designated smoking area outside and starred in through the window which was directly next to the table... total lack of any social manners and made it uncomfortable to be there. Really?!? Is what's going on inside that important? I recommend the grill as a great place for food, drinks, and sports watching, just be discerning about where you sit. The food was decent the waitress we had made me feel like we were at Dicks last resort.

We were on the way to the family Christmas weekend in Olympia and needed a bit of pre-func and snacks before seeing family. Man this place was absolutely packed to the brim, holiday parties? Well we almost left thinking it was as going to take forever to be served in that crowd, but we found an empty booth (after another diner motioned to it seeing we were looking for a place to sit! How nice!) and were approached by a server within a few minutes. This place ran like a well oiled machine! It was such good and quick service. Super friendly and fast. We had the pretzel with cheese sauce. Man that was so good!! It's HUGE which makes sense for the price. The side salad was great too. Strong drinks were great. I'd definitely come back.

What a nice surprise for a sportsy bar atmosphere, no frills. Decor is what you'd expect for a pull-tab kinda place, lots of tv's, lots of tables and booths, and even a pool table. You go here looking for bar food.What I did not expect was a cauliflower pizza option that was crispy, tasty and filling. They have a good menu, lots of bar food options, even half sandwich options for lighter eaters, AND a number of pizzas which you can chose to get on a cauliflower crust. Makes me feel less guilty about indulging on a Tuesday.Staff was wonderfully friendly, quick and knowledgeable. We'll for sure be back. I'm gonna bring more friends in for the cauliflower pizza (I'm a recent cauliflower convert).

I've been here a few times and the staff always seemed to be pit out that there was someone to serve during the day. The food has been average and greasy, but abundant. My friend is in a wheelchair and when we asked where a wheelchair could sit, they looked around and said, "over in that far corner are some short tables." Hardly helpful or accommodating.

Friendly, attentive service.The link sausages don't look appetizing but are delicious with a crispy outside and tender inside so definitely order them.Chicken artichoke soup is unique and super tasty.

It's the kind of place that has a crowd of "regulars" and anyone else "doesn't belong", the kind of place that likes to force interaction. When picking up a carryout order there's no signage and no defined way to do that. The only way to know how to pick up your order if you haven't been here before is either:1) make yourself look like a fool by making a scene and asking a random stranger (everyone in the room will turn and look at you like a cop that just walked into a biker bar)2) be psychicIf you don't want to be the entertainment for random strangers, avoid this place.
