You get a good amount of food with a separation piece to add the egg roll and sweet sauce. It was filling, good not great. I wish it had some more flavor. Service (takeaway) was good.

Time for Thai is located in the Houston downtown tunnels in a food court. It's very convenient if you work downtown. It is essentially Thai food but make it fast food. You can order online and pick up or at the register. The wait time is fairly short. Because of this I would have to say it's not exactly a gourmet experience, but their food is good if you're looking for fast food that isn't traditional fast food. I typically order the Panang curry or Yellow curry. Each comes with rice and a vegetable roll. The portion sizes are pretty good, definitely enough if you're hungry. Veggies are cut a bit on the large side. It's not a huge deal with the carrots but the potatoes are a bit bland and dry on the inside because of it. My main grievances are with the amount of chicken and the watery consistency of the curry.

Tunnel fast food so I don't expect too much. Came here for lunch with colleagues. I ordered the combo which comes with 2 sides and fried rice and a spring roll for $7.95. The price is awesome. The fried rice is a bit mushy but its ok. Had the yellow curry and was told it was mild but in fact it was quite spicy. Well guess its Houston! When they say mild it is very spicy to me. Also got the cashew chicken. It was good first two bites and after that it was meh. The spring roll was good. This is located in a food court so finding a seat can be challenging during busy lunch time. Overall its ok.

This place has been here for about 6 months now and today I finally tried it. It is located in the downtown tunnels in a food court, so ample amount of seating. Might get a bit packed during lunch hours since there are other restaurants as well. I got the combo for $7.95- got the egg fried rice, panang chicken curry and teriyaki chicken along with a veg spring roll. Everything tasted very good- loved that I had the gravy from the panang curry to add to my rice which added a lot of flavor. I haven't tried a lot of teriyaki chicken, but from what I've tried so far, this one is really good. The staff is very polite and took time to help me out. The food definitely reminded me of Phuket, Thailand where I was on my last vacation. :)

Time for Thai has been open for about a couple of months now, and fits nicely in the tunnels in downtown as a lunch option since us working folks want something fast and tasty. I was a bit hesitant with a "fast food" Thai option, but after trying it today, I might include it as one of my go-to's when I don't bring my lunch. The lunch plate is $7.95 with your side of rice and 2 choices of your entrée plus an egg roll. The options for rice are steamed white rice and egg fried rice. The entrees they had out today were the tofu curry, panang curry, pad thai chicken, basil chicken, beef broccoli, chicken teriyaki, and dumplings. I tried the beef broccoli, pad thai and panang curry, and my favorite would be the panang curry chicken. The panang curry had a kick to it which I liked and would get this again. The beef broccoli was a bit different from the usual Chinese doused with sauce dish, the gravy, was a twist for me. Then the pad thai was good but it had some other ingredients in there that I wasn't familiar with. Overall, food was tasty. The workers are friendly and helpful.Be mindful of the hours (11 AM - 2 PM) Monday through Friday.

First time trying this place out for lunch and it was a good experience. We went to lunch late so there was no line. They had a decent variety of dishes to choose from that included curry. I to the fried rice with cashew chicken and red curry and it was pretty tasty and delicious. I washed my food down with a Thai iced tea that wasn't too sweet. I will definitely try this place for lunch when I'm in the mood for Thai food during the work week.

Wanted to check out the new Thai place in the Tunnels today. Initial impression appears that Thai Cottage is trying to build a Panda Express for Thai food. They do offer some Chinese & Japanese food options as well. I went with the two item combo, which comes with an egg roll. Went with the Panang Chicken Curry (figured it should be their specialty) & the Teriyaki Chicken with half white rice & half fried rice. Egg roll was decent, but its hard to mess up a fried egg roll. The Teriyaki Chicken was very meaty pieces of chicken with not a lot of sauce. It was decent. I known, I know it's a Thai place. Wanted to try since the chicken pieces were very hearty. The Curry was okay. Not the best & not the worst curry I have had. The fried rice was very underwhelming. Just go for white rice & don't waste the calories. Will I go back? Likely not since there is an outstanding meatball restaurant next door & a pretty delicious Indian place a few doors down. If I'm going to walk all the way over there from Allen Center I would not do it for this place, sorry.

A couple colleagues and I decided to try out this place and were the only ones in line as we proceeded to sample the pad thai. The woman working behind the counter noticed a few people started a line behind us and rudely requested we go to the end of the line. We chose to leave and purchased lunch from the Indian restaurant next door. I've never experienced rude staff from a Thai restaurant until today. Will not be going back.

Time for Thai was a win in my book! We got here early - right at 11, so there were only a couple people ahead of us in line. Great prices on their lunch special - $7.95 for steamed or fried rice, 1 or 2 entrees, and a crispy vegetable roll. I ended up with Pad Thai and beef & broccoli as my entrees. Beef & broccoli was great (tender, flavorful) - Pad Thai had great flavor but was a tad dry compared to others I have had. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the curry dishes!

Fairly new Thai place underneath Downtown Houston. It's a spinoff of Thai Cottage, an eatery I'm very familiar with.Since it's open during the lunch rush, Time for Thai has a special for $7.95 in which the customer can get two entrees, an egg roll, and steamed white rice or egg fried rice. I got the Penang curry chicken and Prik Khing chicken with egg fried rice plus the egg roll.I'm very impressed with the meal, especially the Penang curry chicken. The dish was spicy but not hot enough to scald your tongue. The ratio of the chicken and the vegetables was even. When mixed with the fried rice, it took on a whole new flavor that I enjoyed. I liked the Prik Khing chicken as well though it didn't meet my expectations in terms of spicy. If you work or even live in Downtown and are in the mood for Asian, make Time for Thai.
