The affordable price, QUICK service, and delicious offerings make this a classic spot to visit when eating in Mira Mesa. The food - My friend and I ordered the wonton and dumpling soup, salt and pepper wings, and Chinese sausage rolls. The soup was light, flavorful, and comforting. The wontons and dumplings were delicious. The bbq pork inside the soup added a nice salty touch. The salt and pepper wings were FIRE. Salt and pepper wings are my favorite flavor of wings in general, and these did not disappoint - in fact, they were excellent. Salty, sweet, crispy, and garlically were the main flavor notes. The sausage rolls were herbaceous, refreshing, light, and tasty. Everything plus tip was $42. Service and ambiance - The food also came out in literally less than two minutes (dine in on a Wednesday at 12p). The server was to-the-point, quickly taking our order and delivering our food. The ambiance has a small-business and local sensibility vibe to it. I felt comfortable here. A solid 4.8/5. I will be coming back.

I live around the corner from this place and I absolutely love it! Everything on the menu is good but I usually go for the fried rice or noodles The spacing is perfect, not too big and not too small. The service is always amazing and quick. My favorite thing is their peppers! It's spicy and sweet at the same time! Sadly they did start charging for the peppers but they're so good, definitely don't mind paying for it!

Visiting SD, we are craving of noodlesSoup and wonton. We came at 1030am with 11 ppl (6 adults, 5 kids from 1-8yr). There was just another table of 6.We had 7 bowls of noodles and food are okay. Place is clean but when we asked for some steam bean sprouts and slices of lemon, they said it would be charged. Compared to other Asian authentic restaurants, a dish of veggie should be served along with certain dish, we think it's ridiculous to be charged for a plate of bean sprouts. A bowl of noodle soup without veggies would not be completely satisfied. As a meat eater, you can skip this but I don't think I want to come back again,

4/27/24. TKN is one of my favorite restaurants because the food is elevated and economical. The dishes and fusion of Vietnamese and Chinese cuisines here are well-executed.4/17/24:Vietnamese Iced Coffee ($4.99): tasty but mostly ice. Coffee and condensed milk is a perfect combo, 4/5 stars overall.Vietnamese Crispy Crepe ($13.99): this is a thin omelet that is filled with pork, shrimp, bean sprouts, and onions. A unique and satisfying version, 3.5/5 stars.4/12/24:Crispy Noodles Combo - beef, chicken, and shrimp ($16.99): creamy garlic sauce on the bottom with fried noodles on top. Traditionally, you're supposed to mix the noodles and sauce, but I prefer the crispy noodles in contrast with the tender proteins and veggies, 4.5/5 stars!Salt & Pepper Fish ($17.99): this is perfect! This is well-seasoned and has hints of white pepper and sugar. The exterior is light but crispy combined with tender fish, 5/5 stars!Tangerine Chicken ($18.49): the sauce is balanced, as it is not too sweet and has a slight tang. The chicken retains its crunch while the meat is juicy, 5/5 stars! The service here is efficient. They take your order shortly after being seated, and a dish or two is delivered to your table within 5 minutes. Then, the rest of your order arrives momentarily.

First time trying Tim Ky last Sunday for lunch. The restaurant is a very small shop tucked in the right corner of the shopping plaza with Lucky Seafood grocery store. We came around 12 and they were busy but we were the only new customers that needed to be seated. I was rudely told by one of the servers to sign in and he pointed outside to their podium. 1.) There was no paper or pen to sign in 2.) there was 5+ dirty tables that just needed to be cleaned but the 4 servers were just standing around the register area talking. Eventually we got sat and ordered their wonton egg noodle soup and the duck leg soup. Flavor was subpar and the egg noodle was a bit tough for my liking. While we were eating, servers who were pushing a cart around to clean were throwing plates and bowls loudly into bins without any consideration for their diners. Overall I wouldn't come back here or recommend it. If you want more flavorful soups, head down a couple blocks to LHK noodle where the service and food is way better.

Been going to Tim Ky for years, everything I've gotten there is good. My relatives who live in Asia tell me that this place is as good as the restaurants in Asia.

Got the seafood crispy noodle this time and this place never misses! The portion is really big and the shrimp in it is super tasty. Everything together tasted really good. Service was quick and helpful. They didn't have too many people in the store on a Thursday night.

Got to try dining in this time. Even though they're known for the noodles, I went with the banh xeo (Vietnamese crepe). It comes standard with pork, shrimp, bean sprouts and onions on the inside. I asked for no pork and was pleasantly surprised that they stuffed it with shrimp. The flavor of the crepe and the filling was really good. The downfall was that it wasn't all that crispy, except on the edges. The middle part was too thick and it ate kind of soggy. Medium size for banh xeo. I could eat the whole thing and not feel overstuffed.Service was fast and friendly. They have mostly indoor seating but also have a couple small tables outside as well. No wait for a Sat at 11:30.

Solid egg noodle soup restaurant if you don't want to drive all the way down to El Cajon for Minh Ky. Lots of seats open on a Sunday at lunch time. Tons of parking too. Got seated right away and served ice water. I'm a little surprised at how much the price is now. The restaurant was kept clean. Servers were friendly. Our meals were served in a timely manner. Pickled chili peppers had a nice kick. Sate had a nice flavor as well. It elevated the noodle dish when adding it in. The broth had good flavor but could be simmering longer in bones to increase the sweetness. We were definitely thirsty after eating here. Probably from the msg. Satisfied our craving without the far drive. 3.5 stars.
