I love this store! I come specifically for the carnitas and the chicharrones that are made only on the weekends. They have a variety of Latino food, spices, etc. The staff is friendly and it's just a great atmosphere. My only regret is that I live pretty far from this place, otherwise I'd be here more often. I hope this helps in your decision to come here.

Not only, is this a good size grocery, for a huge variety of items from south of the border, but they also now have a little cafe, in the far back. The food was so good, and service was wonderful. Not knowing what to try, the nice lady, was so helpful, and friendly. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, more a fun little street cafe experience. You'll feel like you just transported, to a vacation in Mexico.

I've been coming here for a while now. I really love it. The meat is great, the people are friendly, the prices are right. The stock tends to rotate. I'm lucky enough to be within walking distance.

Nice, relatively large Mexican grocer in Monroe. They have a large selection of Mexican and some Salvadorian specialty foods. They also have a beautiful meat counter, with great meat at good prices. What did disappoint us is the nice cafe/taqueria is no more. The space is still there, but it's being used for storage. They are not able to find enough help to keep the kitchen running. That's too bad. They do have a help wanted sign up, so maybe this part will re-open in the future. But for Mexican grocery and meat, there's no need to look anywhere else in or around Monroe.

Initially, we came looking for salsa but we stumbled across a butcher block hidden in the back. I don't remember the exact name but we saw this marinated slab of thin beef that looked quite savory and fresh among the plethora of othering meaty offerings. We decided to give it a go so we have something meaty to put in our homemade burritoes. They sold different kinds of fresh salsa in house at the same counter which exceeded our expectations. It really spiced up our dinner. We will definitely come back for more delicious salsa and meat items like fresh oxtails for $7.99 a pound and the marinated beef slabs for easy stove top grilling. They have a good selection of other non marinated and marinated meats. The counter looked sanitary and non of the meats looked old or questionable. Even on a bad snow day like today, they were pretty busy. The price was very reasonable too!

Amazing food in the most unassuming setting. We had the nachos and they were like something from another planet. I will gladly make the drive to Monroe just to eat there again.

Was passing through for work 600 miles from home and stumbled upon this place. Now I like tacos and eat a lot of tacos but this has to be one of the best taquerias I have ever been to. We ordered our food and the friendly wait staff brought out chips, salsa, and ceviche free of charge. The ceviche was amazing, full of flavor, and fresh. Our group got an assortment of tacos and burritos and everyone was pleased. My favorite part was the 3 hot sauces that were delivered with our food. Each one was unique and flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. Go here now!
