Thyme In The Ranch

Pleasant, clean, home style environment, the food was delicious, great & fast service, just not enough room to sit down & eat. But customers usually cooperate and don't take a long time. I recommend this cute lovely place to anyone who is looking for some pleasant adventure.

We were excited to stumble upon this charming little local cafe and bakery. As we walked in, the proprietor happily greeted us and distributed menus to each of us. We assembled in line while as we selected our choices. Both thumbs up so far! Our turn finally, as we approached the counter, unfortunately the original friendly greeter was busy, so a younger woman approached us to take our order which was perfectly fine as we expected the same level of friendly-happy-for-visiting treatment. The sour expression on her was so confusing to us that it seemed like we somehow suddenly took a wrong turn into a different neighborhood. As she unsmiling and impatiently took our order, it made us feel we had to quickly earn our place to be there. The tables had turned. After a stressful ordering process, we sat down, while consumed in our thoughts with "the treatment from the younger woman with the light hair in a bun", and waited for our food. She soon unsmilingly came to our table to plop down our order number on our table. She informed us of our wrongdoing of forgetting it, and seemed newly justified of her continued sourness. The food was brought to us by other servers that were very friendly as originally expected. Although a review of the food would have been expected and appropriate by now, we have completely forgotten about eating the food.

Beautiful little brunch place with great food and ambience! I absolutely loved the House Quiche with a cup of Potato Spinach soup of the day. Their Triple Berry Pie was also delicious, though it was a bit too much jam for me. The service was great - everyone was kinda and friendly. I would love to come again and try more dishes!

Whenever we visit the Village of Rancho Santa Fe we always make it a point to eat at Thyme in the Ranch. It's not only the quaint atmosphere that is inviting, but the food is over the top delicious. From the breakfast sandwiches to my favorite Cobb salad, this is a prime example of what food should look and taste like. The owners Keely and Marc are always onsite to make you feel right at home. Don't forget the pastries. One look at them in the display case and you'll be hooked. I know we are!

Absolutely adorable and the food is fresh and delicious. The pastries are out of this world!

I wish I could give more than five stars. We went on a busy Saturday morning. Line of the door. Everybody was still so pleasant and helpful. The food was fantastic. The ambience is perfect. I got the quiche Lorraine and it was amazing. The caramelized onions were everything. I also got a chai latte, which was delicious. My friends got the Mediterranean quiche, breakfast burrito, and bagel Schemer. They all reported that everything tasted good as well. My only regret is not getting a baked good to take home. Outside area is pet friendly. Two different patios to sit on. Definitely would recommend.

Located in lovely Rancho Santa Fe, this is a local and popular lunch spot. The food was fine but not exceptional. Indoor seating was crowded and limited during a busy midday, and while the outdoor seating was nice in good weather, it too was very sparse. I'm willing to try it again for a morning cup of coffee when it's less busy.

I'm gonna leave 5 star because I love their bakery! Omg so delicious. Best brownie and salted Carmel and blondie bars. But I have to write this down again for owner to warn her employee. That same girl was treating me poorly was serving me today again. I didn't go there a while even I work just on same street because of that employee treating me like that but then I wanted to give another chance. I've been going since couple times. Other workers and owner is nice. But today again this same girl...I'm asking their other stuff, what is in it and what are they since I wanna try their all bakery. I just asked 1 item and she answered okay thank you, and then I asked something next to that. Her face expressions and her attitude which is making you feel very uncomfortable. You can read from her face that she hates you :) she didn't want to answer she was like "I'm sorry I don't hear you, it's the fan " or whatever she said I don't remember now.As soon as owner came out and was standing behind her, her all attitude completely changed. She started smiling and telling me have a great day etc.She made feel terrible asking questions for the purpose of trying their products.I wouldn't give tip to her, I wasn't giving whenever I see a bad attitude, but I left some tip today but not Because how she treated me, because their bars are super tasty and I love whatever I eat there.Owner probably knows who I'm, I gave so much detail for her to guess who I am. She has such a nice place and popular in here. I just wanted her to know so she can improve her business for even better!

Love this spot. Tables are limited to 90 minutes. It can be busy some days. I try to go before the lunch crowd. Closed on Mondays.

Very cute place in a cute neighborhood with lots of options to choose from. However, a couple of ladies who take your order at the cash counter are so unfriendly. While we were placing our order, we got signals as if "why are we here," "hurry up and order," & just seemed somewhat rude. It's not like we are there to eat for free. We are ordering a generous amount of food and buying some baked goods to go as well. We are giving you business..so please be friendly & smile! No matter what the nationality, please provide equal services to all as we all stand united. Hence giving the 2 stars.
