We came here the Friday evening before Easter. We arrived in town for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We had a hard time locating our hotel and saw Throne Brewing as we circled the street. Rolling into town and getting checked into our hotel room. We were pretty exhausted driving all day from Central California. We didn't want to go too far to eat so we thought we would check this place out. It apparently is under a new management. It is pretty casual and finding your own seat seemed to be the norm. So we chose a nice table and a young man brought us some menus. Throne Brewing has a pretty good looking menu. Wife chose a burger and a salad. Nothing fancy. Just a regular burger and water to drink. I opted for the classic brat which wasn't supposed to have cheese if I read the menu correctly. It was just supposed to have sauerkraut. To drink I had the Gateway Blonde Ale. Our drinks arrived and the food followed shortly afterwards.y wife's food looked amazing and she definitely enjoyed it. She still talks about how good the salad was. My meal however was just ok. As I stated I ordered the Classic Brat. Well what I got wasn't even close to what is described on the menu. But I thought what the hell. I'm tired and hungry. I'll eat it. I won't make that mistake again. Bcz the cheese sauce didn't go well with the sauerkraut. But whatever. We had a good experience and will choose something different next time we are in the area. In all we had a wonderful time and would definitely suggest you come visit!

We haven't been in a while and used to come here relatively frequently. Decided to go bc it sounded good and we were meeting someone for dinner who was visiting Phoenix. After walking in I was surprised at how different it all looked. Definitely updated and less run down which was nice. A quick look at the menu made me realize that it was completely different. All of our favorites like the monkey bread and red white blue salad were gone. Everything looked more generic and like typical bar food. Well it was too late to go elsewhere as we were short on time. We tried the worx pizza and a pretzel. Pizza was smoky tasting? It turns out the marinara is smoky somehow. And the cheese on the pizza had an odd texture. Pretzel was fluffy but nothing special and it came out with ranch instead of mustard?? Quality of food was not good.. like cheap bar foodThey also no longer have the delicious ranch they once had. Staff was nice but service was slow and food took a while to come out.

This is a solid spot, occupying where Pizza People Pub once was. I like how they're close enough to the light rail to make drinking without needing a DD or an Uber an option. They have a nice selection of beer options, including ciders, sours, and seltzers. Service is good and their food is not bad. I'd opt for a burger over pizza, based off my experience. It's nice to be able to get a side salad instead of fries so I feel a little healthier. I wouldn't drive across town to eat here but if you're looking to watch sports, especially with a bigger group, this is a worthwhile option.

Lordy, what happened? Cheuvrontes, gorgeous once upon a time, Pizza People, really good, now, not so much. We stopped by after a theater performance yesterday. It was just an all around bad experience. If it was just one or two things, okay new owners, no big deal but the entire meal was just terrible. Terrible service, terrible food, and a child laying on the floor face down on the dirty floor playing with toys in the corner at a bar. This was so weird to me and just the start of a horrible food time. Also, the decor and place just looked bad, dingy, dirty etc. It used to be so lovely. They also advertised when they took over that they were to keep the menu from the Pizza People Pub before. Heads up, this is not really the case. To start, when we arrived no one sat us or even offered to seat us. The bartender nodded at us and said, "hey" He then told us to sit wherever we wanted. We choose a booth and literally sat there for a good ten to fifteen minutes with no menu nor acknowledgement that we were alive and breathing. That was very perplexing because there were only about 4 people at the bar and one other party of three sitting at a table all done eating and just chatting and finishing up their meal. We had to get up to get menus since they did not have a full one on the website we pulled up. When the bartender finally came over he did not even noticed we got up to get menus and brought us two more?????? Did he not see we had them already? He walked away after putting down the menus. What??? We had to call him back to tell him we wanted to order drinks, which we did. He then walked off again. We were like, "no come back. We want to order an app." My friend and I looked at each other and are like, "what the heck is going on here?" lol" Both of us ex servers and truly baffled. This is an eatery right? Take our order please. We are starving. So here we are with an ordered app but he never came back to take our meal order. And yes he knew we wanted to split a meal too. By then 2 people left and only 2 people were left at the bar. Maybe he had other duties to perform? It did not look like it. We waited a long time for our app and for someone to take our meal order. A couple came in and sat down at the booth next to us. Then, amazingly enough, all of a sudden out of the back flies a waitress we have not seen yet. Really? To make matters worse. She skips right over our table and flies to the table that just sat down. Again, "Double "Really?" That made us pretty upset. How rude. She took a very long time taking their order and was socializing with them. When she walked away she ignored us, no eye contact. We had to yell and flag her over. "Maaam, we want service too." She seemed confused and very disinterested. I am not kidding you when she said, " Well I guess so since the bartender is kind of busy now so I will add your meal to your bill and tell him?" Busy? There were two people at the bar. The food was not that good. We ordered the Monkey Garlic Bread which was kind of one of their specialities from the previous place. ( remember I said they advertised when they took over they are keeping the same menu? Stay tuned) It was not as good as it had been in the past. It was too Doughy and not very garlicky. The marinara sauce has never been that great here IMHO and it seemed more watered down. This app was just okay but we demolished it we were starving by then.We ordered a Brat to split and we got upset again. The menu is not correct when describing this dish. When we pointed it out the waitress, disinterested said, "Oh we're changing the menu, products are not menu correct. That is how it comes now." We get that with new owners but you have been advertising same menu. Also, is there a reason you weren't transparent about that when we ordered in the first place? Seems shady. In the past, service has always been stellar here. The brat came on a roll that was stale, not good, and not advertised. We expected a pretzel roll. The brat was a little tough for my liking but my friend said it was good. Brat good, bread bad. The fries were an issue. Do they microwave from frozen? I ask because the fries had 4 textures, cook modes, and temperature in a single serving. Microwaved food does that. My friend grabs the first one. It was so mad hot in her mouth but not in her hand that when she bit it the middle was so hot she burnt her tongue bad. She told me it left a visable mark but my fry grabbed same time was luke warm, soggy, and mushy. As we ate the fries they had different cook levels and Temps, even raw and hard not cooked through. No check on us no drink refills. Asked twice. At this point we had enough and left. So an observation, is this a thing now with drink refills? Staff adding more glasses to the table without clearing away the empty ones? I notice places do this now. I don't know why nor like it. It crowds the table.I felt embarrassed I suggested this place to my friend.

Do not eat here if you want to feel safeI was coming out of the library in 2021 when throne brewing first popped up after Pizza people pub went out of business and all I saw were people in Red hats.If you want food and want to feel like you actually belong in the community I would rather you drink/eat at Arizona wilderness

The garlic knots should definitely be on everyone's order! They're perfectly chewy and seasoned well. The menu had a wonderful variety of pizzas- both veg and non veg. The ones we had were delicious but a little salty. The bar also had a good selection of beers. The restaurant itself was very spacious and served well for a casual get together. Ample parking in their lot!

Honestly, I found Throne to be overpriced and very understaffed. The wait for service and food was longer than it should have been for an empty dining room. There was a situation with the waitress and another table that created some commotion and resulted in the seated party being asked to leave. It appeared that she was the only person waiting tables that night. The pizza was nothing special, especially compared to the many other pizza restaurants in Phoenix. I did enjoy the salad with bleu cheese - I always love to see bleu cheese being represented on menus! The restaurant has a cool vibe and a comfortable variety of seating options. I also loved the original artwork that was for sale on the walls. I hope that if I make it to Throne again, the next experience will be better than the first.

We stopped here for food after a hike ! I wasn't too hungry so only ordered a drink and an appetizer, both of which were amazing! The ambience is nice too, the chairs were a vibe. Our server was kind and topped off our waters multiple times. I would definitely go again! The prices were super reasonable too! #WinWin

Not a bad place to grab a pizza. You can certainly do worse. The Margherita pizza is decent. No one got beer because we were "on the clock". I believe there were no complaints. Definitely worth a try.
