Three Frogs Brewery

I recently visited Three Frogs Brewery and was pleasantly surprised by the unique atmosphere and the exceptional variety of brews they offer. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming with a distinctively cool crowd that made the place feel more like a community hangout than a typical brewery. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. What truly caught me off guard was their Golden Stout. I must admit, I was skeptical at first, as I tend to prefer traditional stouts, but this one was a game-changer. The flavor was rich, with just the right balance of coffee and chocolate notes, yet surprisingly light for a stout. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted in the best possible way. Three Frogs Brewery has certainly made a fan out of me with their innovative brewing and fantastic community atmosphere.

This was my go to Brewery. And Oreo's too. Great people. Dog friendly. Never a bad time. The beers are very good. Since moving away we miss it so much!

Ribbit.It's good to see another home brewing crew take the leap into the tasting room space, especially amidst the great pandemic of 2020. Social distancing aside, they abide by current health and safety guidelines.Three Frogs Brewery had a neat variety of west coast ales when I visited, and I particularly enjoyed their golden stout collaboration. It is infused with Drunk Monkey coffee from neighboring Motorcycle Monkey Coffee. If you like beverages with hints of vanilla, caramel, and a bit of mild whiskey flavoring, then this could be something to check out.These guys have a great interest in their craft and are I hope they stick around for a while. I had a flight of everything and brought got a crowler home to enjoy later. Toad-ally awesome.

Came in on a Friday night an hour before close. I actually passed it on my right heading west on Mission Gorge, so keep your eyes open! The parking lot is small but I am sure it accommodates the brewery after business hours just fine. They offer snacks (chips and some small batch home made popcorn), water, sodas, and a home made root beer for non drinkers. Table games on the inside and a little two person arcade set with all the classics. A covered outdoor area with plenty of seating, and inside you'll find a restroom and 5 restaurant-style tables. This seems like a great place to meet some friends for a low key social outing. I tried "BRAVO!" 5.5ABV, described on their menu as light, crisp, and easy drinking. They nailed this one. Their red was also quite good but I don't remember the details. Definitely stop in and give them a try! They can also do beer to go if you don't have time to stay and enjoy.

Visited on 12/16/23 with a buddy after hiking Mission Trails. Had the AJ IPA and he had the rotating IPA. Both were tasty. We also split the golden stout. Pours gold in color, not the usual darker color associated with a stout. Very tasty and my buddy said with hints of caramel. Andrew the bartender was cool and laid back. You need to check this place out.

We've been back to Three Frogs a few times now.It never disappoints. Great owners providing great service and great beers and seltzers. Just a really cool spot to chill and knock back a couple.They typically have some great tunes playing too. They'll change it to your liking upon request too.Three Frogs Brewery. I read about this place in the SD Reader Beer News section when they first opened. My girlfriend, her friend and I stopped in here. My first time, not hers. The place is right off the 52 in Santee. The place was way smaller than I imagined which is fine, they had plenty of outdoor seating in the parking lot. They had 3 little terrariums too, each with a tiny tree frog in it! As for the beer, they only had a couple available that day and I got the golden stout I believe. Definitely a place to check out and support, I mean you cant get much more "small business" than this! Support local!

Fun place to visit! Came here the other day when they had their 3 year anniversary event. The people were friendly and the vibes were low-key and chill. It felt like a nice local community place. Definitely will come back

I agree with the other reviews! If you weren't looking for this place you would drive right past it.. Well worth a visit! Their beer is on par with the biggest in San Diego. I love this intimate small atmosphere where you can ask the owner and brewers anything you want. I took some to go! I will be coming back here especially for the atmosphere.. Small is good! You go to some of those other places downtown or in Miramar and you get those brewery shuttle buses dumping off loads of drunk tourists sometimes you just don't want that.

Tasty beers. Friendly patrons. Taco shop walking distance. Great local watering hole!
