The Wine & Cheese Cask

This is a review for their lunch sandwiches. Stellar! I no longer drink alcohol, but I stopped in as I saw they had freshly made sandwiches for $10. It was fantastic! I got the Iberian sandwich (Serrano ham and manchego with fig spread, olive oil and arugula on sourdough). They have a lot of varieties to choose from. Will definitely stop in again for a sandwich.

What is not to love about this place? Made to order, gourmet sandwiches. Huge selection of beer, wine, and cheese. Open late into the evening. Friendly, helpful staff. Will go there every time I am in town.

I ordered a cheese tray & charcuterie tray for Easter. Went to pick it up & it's all just in paper bags. Cheese not even cut up. For the money I thought I would be getting everything ready to go! I could of just went and picked up stuff & put it together myself. What I had to do anyways. All they did for premium money was just select stuff & put it in a bag! Never again!

Lovely store with great selection of wines, cheeses and beers. Two rooms dedicated to wine are guaranteed to have something you like. There are shelves of liquor, but it's certainly not their strong suit. There are many fridges of beer, including lots of cool local beers. I particularly like a seasonal IPA called "G Fresh" I've only ever found here. For cheeses and other things it also appears very strong. Staff is nice and it is one of the few options in its area. Highly recommend!

I have been frequenting the Cask for maybe 7, 8 years now. I cannot speak to their sandwiches, too little experience, but their wine selection incl their wines of the month, is excellent and all staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and not afraid to say "I don't know" when trying to figure out what we might enjoy. Many of the staff have been there for years. Deli counter is also wonderful with a wide range of cheeses and coldcuts.

Extensive and impressive wine selection. Decent liquor selection, but that doesn't seem to be their focus. I stopped in "quickly" one day on a whim and wasn't disappointed.

My beloved old Wine & Cheese Cask is back!First, sales are back. They're no longer promised to be quarterly, but the latest lasted for a month, which is much longer than quarterly sales used to in pre-pandemic days. Buying a mixed case of their wine with 20% off is a must whenever they have a sale.Second, much of the old staff is back, and so it the old friendly attitude. If you'd like advice, they have advice. If you'd like to be left alone looking, you can take your sweet time. It also turns out overzealous carding of middle-aged foreigners is not a new store policy, but an idiosyncratic idea of individual employees.All in all, this is once again one of my two favorite wine stores in town. Its very considerable merits outweigh the annoying risk of an idiosyncratic rejection of my driver's license.

Amazing service and sandwich culinary excellence. Our sandwiches were phenomenal.. I got a Brie and ham on baguette (no red peppers) and my friend got a custom prosciutto +tomatoes and veggies. $10 each. Such a good deal for such high quality ingredients

Long story short: two brown guys walk into the store, half the staff follows them to the back of the store all while all the white girls in the store are shopping alone. You are NOT offering me an "extra" customer experience, but rather your stores implicit bias is showing. You didn't ask me if I needed help but rather just watched me shop. I bet you didn't expect to be called out on it. Get training, be better.

I live around the corner from this business. On our short walk home after day care pickup on a Friday, my wife and I stopped to pick up wine for dinner. We spent 10 minutes picking out a bottle. I forgot my wallet at home as the stop was spontaneous. My wife had her wallet and full identification. We had our 12 mo old daughter with us. The business refused to serve us because I did not have my identification. This the type of service you can expect. We won't be back.
